Wilson Veterinary Hospital

We were introduced to Wilson Vet when our 13 year old male black lab needed overnight care to address some liver issues. While there, he underwent some tests and it was dicsovered that he had growths in his liver and abdomen. Knowing that he was probably ill when we adopted him a year prior, this didn't come as a surprise.\r \r We worked with Dr. Amy Hawkins on a course of treatment that would provide him the most comfort and length of life. Over the next few months, his condition worsened, until it became evident that the right thing to do was to help him 'cross the rainbow bridge'. \r \r Dr. Hawkins and the entire staff at Wilson Vet demonstrated compassion beyond measure. The options presented were very clear and understandable. I would just like to say thank you to doctor Wilson Thursday night I had to rush my champion breeding. FEMALE to your office because she had to open pyo. I know there was more to the team and they were working hard and I was in a panic that I was going to lose lose her because I lost the last 1 that came in with. Dr. Husman did an extraction on our Toby whom we just adopted from Almost Home Animal Shelter in Southfield and she/staff took excellent care of him. I would recommend everyone to Wilson Veterinary Hospital. Our bill was actually lower then the quote - we were very happy. Well worth the drive from Novi we woukld do it again. My husband and I think this Clinic is amazing. It's nice, clean, and the "Wilson Team" is very professional. Whether our dogs have needed surgery or just shots they've had excellent care. Treated with love, and kindness.\r I have been to so many vets that just don't know what they are doing at all. Dr. Wilson is very skilled, and we trust him!\r We are impressed with everything especially the 24/7 around the clock care. Just knowing that they can be reached easily in an emergency is a relief in itself. Pricing is fair too. more

We were connected with the hospital after one of our cats was spayed at an animal rescue and had complications. We were referred to Wilson Hospital from the rescue. We have had a wonderful experience with the staff overall. They are very caring and compassionate, willing to work with you and genuinely care about you and your pet. Dr. Kirby is our vet, and all our animals just LOVE him!! It makes the process so much less stressful when your animals are excited to go to the vet! Over the weekend, our 8 week old kitten fell down the stairs and broke her leg. We were able to be seen as a walk in, and were treated very well. The doctor we saw explained all our options, as well as the cost along with presenting the diagnosis. What impressed me beyond measure was the fact that Dr. Kirby, who was working the overnight, after a very busy night still took the time to look in on Onyx, check her x-rays personally, and call me personally with his opinion and recommendations. I have 2 cats and my male cat had a blocked bladder. I usually take him to the humane society for vet care but they failed at unblocking his bladder. So they refered me here. I was impressed by their friendly staff and doctors. The service was fast without any wait time to speak of. Their prices are affordable. The vet called every morning to inform me on my cat's condition. I would highly recomend them to anyone who wants great service at an affordable price. more

My friend recommended that I take my 2 Himalyan cats here. I was very impressed with Sat/Sun hours & even 24/7 emergency care at the Romeo office. This is the 3rd vet I took my sick kitty to find out what was wrong with her. Vet #1- said heart valve/congestive heart failure. Vet #2 - nothing wrong. This vet - immediately found that our cats rib cage was malformed & was puncturing her heart when you picked her up (not congestive heart failure). The other 2 vets recommended teeth cleaning -This vet contraindicated teeth cleaning on both cats due to old age-old kidney/functions, cat #1 valve problem and cat #2 w/small kidneys and said they would have both died during surgery. Vet spent a lot of time examing our cats. Very nice helfpul staff. Good fair prices. A lot of people brought their beloved pets here so that was a good sign.. I even called office Sun night @ midnight when my 19 yo cat died & they was very comforting. You can tell they love the animals that they see. I wo more

In September of 2005, I had my male guinea pig (Kaluah) neutered here. I dropped him off at 6:00am and he was ready to come home around 2:00pm. They sent him home with food in a food dish which was nice. They called a few days later for a ?check-up?a>?? to make sure he was coming along all right. I returned to them a week later to have his stitches removed. I felt comfortable in their facilities and believe my Kaluah was in great hands. I?a>??d recommend them to anyone looking for animal services at a reasonable price. more

We visited Wilson's on a few occasions looking for a pet for my mom. They have kittens available every so often. We found the perfect pet. I know that the staff was helpful and very nice. It looked like a really nice place to take your pet. more
