I used Wilson's HVAC on two occasions. First time was fine. Guy checked the AC. Told me it was old but functioning properly. \r

Second time, the blower motor went out on the furnace. I am selling the house in two months and changing out the whole furnace/ac system, although needed, is not an option. I told them on the phone the model of the unit, and asked them to quote me a price to change out the motor. They tell me they need to inspect the unit to get the part number. I agree to meet them at my house. When I arrive they aren't there, but when they do arrive it's clear they have already been there and let themselves into the backyard w/o permission. The guy looks at the furnace and tells me to change the motor (a $200 part) will be $2,500. He also tells me they wont do the job, but will sell me a new system for $5,000. A bit miffed as I was very clear on the phone what I needed them to do, and I left work to meet them for this pointless sales pitch, I tell the guy ""give me a quote with model numbers, and prices for parts and labor"". He gives me a $5,000 quote with no breakdown. When questioned I am told ""we don't give out that info"". It was clear to me that I was going to ripoffed by them with the cheapest unit being what they would likely install. They didn't even want to offer a choice of models, because if they had you could compare prices. Steer clear. Thanks for wasting my time Wilson.
Pros: On time
Cons: Deceptive sales practices
