Terrible experience 1/25/2008

I took my Honda into Wilburn Auto Body for repair work as was recommended by several people and since they were a preferred service member through my insurance, I didn't think it would be an issue. It took well over a month to repair my automobile. They called me and told me that my car was ready and when I picked it up I noticed that my airbag warning light was on, and it had not been after the initial accident. I promptly returned it to the body shop who in turn had to take the car to the Honda Dealership to diagnose the problem. Somehow in the repair process Wilburn Auto Body Shop damaged my passenger side safety belt and it needed to be replaced. This caused me to be in my rental car for an additional 6 days, which was not covered under my insurance, as I was only covered for 30 days. Wilburn will not acknowledge that they are responsible, nor are they willing to work with me on the additional cost for the rental car. The manager has told me that he ""will take care of it"", but everytime I have called I get the run-around and am always told that he will call me back and of course he never does. It has been over 10 days and I still have not received any compensation or even a returned phone call. I am completely disappointed in the customer service and the overall treatment I have received as a client. While the repair work to my vehicle was ultimately done to my satisfaction, I do feel it's important to note that my car was not returned to me as I would have expected. Overall, I would recommend that if you are in need of a good body shop, you should look elsewhere, because in my opinion Wilburn Auto Body does not care about their customers nor do they want to accept responsibility for their damaging actions. more

I have had my 2007 Scion in there twice and they did a superb job both times. The paint job was a perfect match, and the detail job they did was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional. They did the work in a timely manner and called to let me know when it was finished. Even offered to stay late if I needed, since I work in Charlotte. I would reccommend them to friends and family. \r more

Halpin Music. 10/25/2006

They carry alot of band stuff as in school band, but also carry alot of beginner instruments all the way up to thousand dollar instruments. if you dont see something instore they can usually get it, and they are always truthful with you. i would recommend halpin because they are good on service, they will do what ever it takes to make you happy. the person above obviously j/ had a misunderstanding. i am in there daily, and i havent seen one unsatisfied coustomer. based one the one fact, if you are unsatisfied they will do what they do to make it work for you. all their prices are set high but can eaisly be worked within reason. its business. i would suggest you go and check them out. They certainly are on the top of my local music store list. Pros: Each and every one of them specialize in a feild and are 100% on what their talking about Cons: hours, but everyone has to have some kind of life. more

Disappointed in service 9/10/2006

I called to see if they had a certain instrument available for rental. The person on the phone said yes, they had a couple available. Great I thought and said. I'll be there as soon as possible seeing as I live in Edwardsville and they are inconveniently located in Alton. I get there, after a nightmare drive and gee, they have none. The same guy waited on me that I had talked to. It is extremely evident that he didn't even check to see if they had them in stock after all. **If you call to see if they have something make sure they actually put you on hold to check, that should have been my clue**. Pros: seems like they have alot of cool stuff Cons: poor customer service more
