The White Dress is an amazing bridal salon. They had a fantastic selection of dresses to choose from. Their staff was so helpful and supportive! My favorite part was when I chose my dress, we popped a bottle of champagne and then wrote our names on the cork and threw it into a giant vase full of corks from other brides for good luck! They made my dress buying experience one that I will remember and cherish forever! more

Being the stereotypical overly excited bride, I immediately had all guns blazing when finding the perfect wedding gown. I didn't have to go far, as my first and last stop was at The White Dress! The women who worked there were beyond helpful and knowledgeable. The owner, Marlis, was very involved and invested in making all my dreams come true! When I wanted to add my own touches, she had no problem immediately picking up the phone and consulting the designers themselves! Even the alterations were performed with great care and kindness. My veil was specially created to my liking and on the day of my wedding, I truly felt like the princess I had always dreamed of! more

This was such a fun place. My sister got her wedding dress here and it was a blast. we did not feel rushed or hurried (like i have in other bridal stores for friend's weddings). the staff made my sister feel like it was all about her and got very involved in the entire process. My mom who usually can find something wrong with everything had nothing but good things to say about this place (except ""i'm not buying you a dress from anywhere but here""). the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses were to die for. After going to many stores, I found The White Dress has the best selection and best service. I purchased my gown and seven bridesmaids dresses in March. The store sent me emails confirming all of my orders and made me feel really comfortable. Once the dress came in, I needed to have a few alterations, so I went with Dorie in Tustin. I went to this store with a freind who lives in LA. To be honest, I was not looking forward to it. My experiences in the past have always included dirty stores, dirty clothes, people crammed into rooms and salewomen who reek of cigarettes.\r \r This shop is ANYTHING BUT! All of the girls who worked there were so nice and fun. The dresses my friend tried on were beautiful and clean, and they really listened to the style she was interested in and made good suggestions. They also kept her within her budget--my friend was very pleased about that. At the end, they served us champagne and we didn't want to leave! I can't recommend this highly enough. I feel like people leave negative reviews for the most part on these types of websites--how often are you so pleased that you have to run to your computer and write a review? I went to The White Dress for a wedding gown and had a great experience. I went with my Mom and I tried on a bunch of dresses. I found a Platinum for Pricilla of Boston that I loved, with a sweetheart neckline, but I wanted the bottom to look different, so Marlis suggested putting on a different bottom, all silk. We decided on an A line skirt. I knew it would be perfect. Once we decided on the dress, we celebrated with Champagne!! It was so much fun. I also bought my bridesmaids dresses from The White Dress. My friend and I again tried on several dresses and found the long black beautiful dresses that complimented my dress perfectly. Also, Marlis helped me find the pefect Tiara, earrings and bracelet that complimented the dress by Michelle Miller who is a jewelry designer she sells in the store. They even put my grandmothers pearls in the necklace! We decided on a darker ivory color for my dress, to match my tan Italian olive skin, and she even had shoes to match the dress. The dress came in a few months before the wedding, but I waited to have it altered until a few weeks before, which I did with Marlis' on site tailor and it fit like a glove. Every time I called the store, the girls helped explain the process with my dress and with my bridesmaids dresses and sizes, which can be confusing at times when you have 8 bridesmaids and you are planning your wedding! Ultimately, I loved my pictures and wedding day and Marlis helped make it perfect. more

I live in Los Angeles and drove out to costa mesa to check out the bridal selection. I stopped by The White Dress and told the owner that I didn't have an appointment but that I live in LA and if she could fit me in it would be helpful. There was a trunk show that day so it was extremely busy, but somehow she found the time for me. She let me try on several dresses (more than 5) and spent time with me. I could tell she felt rushed but I felt helped and attended to. They have a great selection of Couture dresses many that I haven't seen in other boutiques. I was really impressed with the white dress, its friendly, accommodating and has just the right amount of dresses and designers, not too many and not too little. Definitely recommend! Perhaps the owner is great to work with but most of her staff is inexperienced, aloof and demonstrated poor customer service. I was told a month in advance that they were getting in several new lines of bridesmaid dresses and so I made an appointment. A week prior to the appointment I even called to confirm and LEFT MY NUMBER. The next day it may have been the owner that called me to confirm. My bridesmaids drove two hours in the pouring rain for the first appoitment of the day and when we arrived we were told that the new lines weren't there yet-NONE OF THEM. They said they were supposed to come that week, even though I was told when I made the appointment that the dresses would definitely be there by our appointment. The aloof person at the desk said that my number wasn't working and that they tried to reach me. Her poor customer service and clear lack of resourcefulness lead her to believe that MY phone wasn't working when in fact, it was her fault - she wrote down the wrong number in her appointment book. Unfortunately, she didn't think to look at the profile card she had me fill out months prior, nor think to look back in her appointment book at my previous appointments/contact info. If the owner had been present, I am sure she would have acted differently. Since we were there we decided to try on a couple dresses I'd already seen. Keep in mind no one was in the store and there were three workers huddled behind the front desk. One nice employee showed us to a changing room, offered to make copies of the new dresses coming in, and ultimately took our measurments, but beyond this nothing else was done. We were simply told they would call us when the dresses came in - too bad because they won't be getting our business. more
