Wheatfields Bakery- awesome Bread! 8/10/2009

Love it, Love it, Love it! This place was named one of the top places to eat in the state. They bake their bread fresh every day... this is where we go for all major holidays to get goodies. I haven't eaten breakfast here yet, but plan to try it! Make sure to ask for their buy 10 loaves, get the 11 one free! more

Best pastries in the Midwest 3/5/2009

WheatFields is often praised for its Artisan breads, but I go there every time I'm in Lawrence for the pastries and desserts. All is made from scratch. My favorites: apricot scone, rum raisin danish, napoleon, coconut macaroon, and a chocolate mousse to die for. If you have a sweet tooth and a love of classic pastry (made with real butter), stop in for a treat more

Whenever I'm in Lawrence, I must stop here. They have the best breakfast and lunch items, each day is different!!! The ingredients are the finest and I've never been disappointed with anything I've gotten here. My fav is any of their salads :) more

Wheatfields Bakery 4/27/2005

Houses a variety of freshly baked breads and pastries for you to come and pick up. Their sourdough is robust and as with most of their loaves is reasonably priced. If you are unsure what kind of bread would be best for your plans, ask the staff and they can suggest something that might agree with your mood or taste. You can also place an order in advance if you have certain taste or want a unique flavor. more
