Best

I have been talking my 14 month old to this office since she was about two months old. Sadly, at about 4 months of age she became very ill. I saw both Dr. Shelton and the NP Alli...

Worst

I've been taking my son there for the past 8 months and have come in contact with several of the doctors, the NP and the lactation consultant. Dr. Lopez is our regular doctor &...

Dr. Lopez is the best! 8/19/2006

The most wonderful doctor! He is fun with the kids (my kids adore him) and makes them feel very comfortable from the minute he walks in the room. He is also wonderful with parents- not condescending but not trivializing our concerns. The rest of the doctors at WWP are also terrific, but Dr. Lopez has that little something extra! Pros: terrific doctors, wonderful nurses Cons: insurance was a problem, but getting much better more

Great Doctors! 5/22/2006

What the office staff lacks, the doctors more than make up for! I have had kids at WWP for 13 years and have never had a bad experience with any doctor, nurse or medical personnel. Dr. Shelton is awesome! Their insurance and financial staff is not as easy to work with, but we have great insurance, so thankfully, I don't have to deal with them very often and my persistence has resolved our issues. Pros: Doctors, Nice, new office, Nurses more

GREAT CARE 8/31/2005

In 2000, we moved to Raleigh-Cary and were looking for a doctor for our children. The oldest is ADHD and we are picky about his care. We heard that Michael Smith was a good Dr. for this. Recomendations from myself still run high. Any of the Doctors at W.W.P. who saw our children were great. I've never had a billing problem. We moved across town to N. Raleigh and for 3 years we sent to W. W. P. August 2005 we have moved to Tucson and now am trying to replace our peditrican. Whom ever gets the job has very hard shooes to fill. Pros: Great Dr., Helpful Staff Cons: parking more

Insurance and payment headaches. 2/15/2005

Dr. Lopez at Western Wake is a wonderful doctor. Unfortunately we have had many problems with the office and insurance filing. When we first brought our newborn, the office refused to file my insurance...even though the office was a member of my PPO. I had to pay the entire cost up-front. When I contacted my PPO, I was told that the office was contractually obligated to file my insurance because they were a member of the PPO. That was November 1st that I first paid the charges in full up front and have yet to receive my refund, although they received the check from the insurance company long ago. Just recently, they changed the name that appears on the insurance claims, but did not file the necessary paperwork with the insurance company. The doctor is the only reason we return. Pros: medical care Cons: office staff, organization, insurance filing more
