Westar Ob Gyn

Worst obgyn in Westerville by far. the front desk people are rude, I waited for 30 minutes to be seen while while others were walking in the door and getting back right away. the nurse practitioner I seen was is a real b*tch, sorry for my language. She was so angry when I refused to tell her my religion or if I graduated high school and then wanted to know if I was a lesbian or bi sexual. I was there for an annual exam, nothing else, you don't need any of those for an annual pap. When I asked why it was so important and refused to to give that info she said it was for billing reasons. That is not true, as a medical coder I have never once needed someone religion or if they finished high school or their sexual preferences to code a bill. She did not like that answer at all. As for the test, I do not think she even performed it. I have gotten regular annual exams for the past 15 years and always feel a pinch when they scrape the cervix, this time I felt nothing at all. I am sure she didn't perform the service. I will never go back there again and would not recommend anyone going to this office either. more

I had no problems with the actual visit. They were professional and friendly. Their billing person is awful and heartless. They said they would take my insurance when I called and also while I was at the office, and then I get a bill. They charged me the full amount no insurance discount, nothing. Trying to reach the billing person it took 4 days and multiple calls to get her even on the phone. She did not care that I had insurance, or how to help, all she kept talking about is a payment plan. All she said it's it's your problem, it's not my job to figure out what your insurance rates are. more

Do not go here if you have a real health issue, leave it to those who are experienced and know what to do. more

I was referred to Dr. Murnane by a friend in 2005 and I am with him since then. Dr. Murnane is professional and makes you feel at home with every visit. But what impresses me most is how committed he is to his practice. When I was in labor with our first child, he did call the hospital couple of times during early hours of the morning (around 1am and 3 am) to see how I was progressing and he was at the hospital at 6 am. Few doctors are like this and with Dr. Murnane its part of his character. I am pregnant with our second child and I always look forward to my appointments. The staffs at Westar Ob/gyn are great and I'll obviously recommend all the ladies out there. I assure you, your pregnancy experience and having Dr. Murnane care is memorable. You?ll be hooked up!! more

Dr. Murnane is a terrific doctor. We had a great experience with him! He listened to what we wanted and did his best to make it happen. He was able to repeat his advice numerous times without appearing pushy or impatient. He loves the kids who come into the office, and throughout our pregnancy and delivery, I never saw him flustered. He took everything in stride, was honest and practical, and made us feel so at-home there. When our first son was born, we were not satisfied with our obstetrician, who was impatient and didn't listen well to what we wanted. But with Dr. Murnane, it was completely the opposite. You can tell that he takes pride in being available to his patients. For the first time in 15 weeks, I don't have to see my obstetrician, and I'm actually a little sad about it. Everyone there is so friendly, and they made my pregnancy so much easier and less stressful. I just can't wait till we're ready to have our next baby, so we can have another great experience with Dr. Murnane and his staff! more
