Wessco Blinds

Look elsewhere for blind repair. My repair was slow, expensive, and unsatisfactory. There are places in town (or Bellevue) that can do it in-house for a few dollars. Pros: N/A Cons: No in-house repair. more

I recommend Wessco very highly. We moved into a new/old house (in Ballard) last year. It was built in the early mid-century period and has some great design elements, but attractive window coverings were not one of them. We inherited the original heavy-looking fabric drapes in the shade of blah, and they were not improved by the way they were getting crapped out of these heinous brass thingamabobbers dangling from the ceiling. Had to go. Luckily, we found some high tech and very fashionable replacements at Wessco. When their rep came by with samples and for measuring, she suggested we think outside of our comfort zone and try some of the colored options (almost everyone thinks they want white). We went with a neat soft gold honeycomb fabric in the front rooms and an espresso in the bedrooms/kitchen. It looks incredible - really really good. The window trims are a very rich oak, and the gold pulls out a lustrous tone in the wood. In the back, the espresso matches our cabinetry and brings the room together. The technicians who put up the system were nice and professional, and a year later we are still very happy, so they did a good job on the install. The blinds have been good for thermoregulation and improved our house insulation. Good stuff at a good price. more

We recently purchased our first home - a townhouse in Seattle with several different floors. Wessco helped us find the BEST blinds for each room of our house - from the cat-friendly cordless blinds to moisture-resistant wooden blinds above our kitchen sink. We also opted for shutters in our bedroom, which I LOVE! Service was great - deliveries and installation were made right on time. The person who installed our blinds was also really friendly and we were amazed by quick he was. Great local company! I'd recommend to anyone. more

After re-painting several rooms in my home I called Wessco for a blind consultation. They came promptly and showed me several options for my home. Kamm helped me choose a blind that was an updated look but still coordinated with the 10 year old blinds throughout my home. I love the color match and texture of the new blinds. more

I really wished that I had taken the time to read reviews on this company before giving them my money. Others are right; they are inconsiderate, rude, unorganized and don't call you back within reasonable timelines. Take your business elsewhere. more

If I can save anyone who might be considering Wessco for their window covering needs the grief, frustration and extreme dissapointment that I have experienced in dealing with them than it was worth posting this review. more

We bought blinds for our whole house from Wessco about 4 years ago. We were very happy with the service, they worked very hard to stay within our budget and not try to talk us into something we could not afford. The installation was great they did a professional job. We had to have a couple of the blinds restrung and we never had any problems the blinds were always back within a week or so. I would recommend them, Kamm is great to work with and Leigh has been in the business for a long time and is very knowledgeable. more

Wessco Blinds has an amazing showroom with so many beautiful items. They recently installed several shades in my home with great customer service, prompt devlivery and even gave us a fallow up call and thank you card. Pros: Huge Showroom, Great Product, Great Staff more

Customer service is a joke. They take forever to get back to you, and unless they are going for the sale, they aren't really interested in what you have to ask or say. I gladly am using Wessco for window coverings in a third different house. Owner Leigh Nelson is a pleasure to deal with, and she likely has not encountered a situation that your home offers She also will not pressure customers into products, often warning about pricing. The women in the showroom, Camm and Rosanna and the rest, also are very knowledgeable and pleasant. The coverings in the house I just sold were a huge selling point; they truly added to the ambience of the home. If I ever have to move again, I know the windows are covered (so to speak) with Wessco. I know this sounds like an ad, but my enthusiasm for this company has moved me to post a review for the first time. more

We did the right thing and got competing quotes for our plantation shutters. Not only was Wessco cheaper, but they were closer to home too. We also appreciated the owners' hands-on approach, and excellent design advice during the in-home consultation. Everyone loves our shutters, and we think they add incredible value to the home. Wessco is a neighborhood company that can compete head-to-head with any faceless chain store. And outdo them in every possible way. We found out about them when we received their postcard in the mail after moving into our new home: ""Tired of dressing in front of the neighbors?"" After hearing from friends what a wonderful job the company had done in their home I recommended my Grandmother use them as well. My grandmother recently purchased a new home. She was overwhelmed with all the choices she was making and was not looking forward to one more choice. When the owner of the store showed she had a few ideas but wanted to get my Grandmother what she would be happy with. The owner walked her through the choices and helped Grandma relax about the anxiety of one more choice. When Grandma was done she had a beautiful product that makes her happy. We had Wessco do the window coverings for our older home that had just had major renovation done on it. We were returning customers who found that the company did an excellent job as ususal. The owner came to our home and had very creative ideas on window treatments for the home which had some challenges due to the age of the home. Delivery and installation were great. My next door neighbor had some wooden Hunter douglas blinds put in by Wessco Blinds and was very satisfied. When I needed something to keep the am light out of the bedroom I called them. The co rep came and measured the windows and the installation was done very nicely. I recently decided to update the decor of my home and I didn't know where to start. A friend recommended me to Wessco. She said that they were extemely helpful to her when she remodeled her home. I found the service to be wonderful, they did a free in home consultation as well as offered wonderful decorating tips. The products that they sold where of the highest quality! In a dispute over poor quality, damaged window dressings for over $1000. They delivered damaged goods, refuse to fix them, and called me unreasonable. I still do not have the window dressings I ordered 4 months ago, but yet they have my money and refuse to either give me the product I ordered or my money back. Additionally and most offensively, they provided false information to VISA during our payment dispute. Extremely UNETHICAL business practices.
