Worst Caterer EVER!!! 12/10/2010

Spoke to Wendy today to get information about her business for my upcoming wedding. She was very rude, putting the phone down to yell at someone in the background. The only questions she was concerned about were budget and money questions. She did not attempt to listen to what I wanted or to even address if she could help me. She even told me that she would not handle any party or event for less than $10,000, as she was a high-end gourmet baker. Funny, I thought all money spent the same no matter what the event, what a snob!!! Very unprofessional. She just lost a potential client for life. I am posting reviews about her on every site I can find. She is AWFUL!!! Guess I caught her on a bad day. Shame on me for calling a caterer on a Friday, guess she was cutting the call as short as possible so she could handle whatever parties she already got money out of for this weekend. I am upset that I even have to give her 1 star. She's not even worth that!!! more

Wendy is absolutely AMAZING! I don't even know where to begin. I first decided to meet with her when she was one of the only caterers I reached out to that took my ideas and came up with the perfect most creative menu. We wanted something that was different than normal wedding food and something where people would walk away and remember what they had for dinner at our wedding, and they did!! It is 2 months later, and I still have friends calling me and asking me if I know how she made the gravy, the green beans, our signature drink, the short ribs, and the list goes on! Not only was the food FABULOUS, but the customer service was FANTASTIC as well! They were always quick to respond to emails and phone calls, and always helped put us at ease. They really did go above and beyond in every aspect! more

Best Caterer In Town! 9/2/2010

Wendy Krispin Caterer is amazing in every way! As co-chair of this event, we needed her experienced direction. Our event last night at Stanley Korshak's...The Shak, was for the AIDS Interfaith Network pre-event party for Great Gatsby! It was perfect! Organized, helpful... as the food was creative and delicious! As I witnessed, her food was made fresh! Her staff was delightful and Wendy is a great problem solver! Call Wendy! more

Terrible Owner and Food Reused From Event to Event 7/29/2010

I recently had a party catered by Wendy Krispin Catering and it was a terrible experience start to finish. The servers were late, they stole my paring knife and when I looked at the food that was being served it was the same food that was served at a Nordstrom Party the night before, except it was very dry since it had been sitting on a buffet the previous night. Wendy is very rude to her staff; yelling is commonplace at her establishment. I will never use her again and I will not shop anywhere that uses Wendy Krispin as a Caterer. Shame on you Wendy Krispin, we are lucky no one got sick. Pros: None of note Cons: Staff late, don't speak English, we were served leftovers more

Exceptional Food, Wendy is Difficult and Rude 10/7/2009

I am a previous long time customer. When dealing directly with Wendy you get the idea that she believes her own press. No doubt the food and presentation are exceptional. However, we are talking food and people here. The food is prepared by cooks who are talented but there are plenty of those types around?unemployment is up. The wait staff (very good) are all independent-contractors and work wherever and whenever someone calls. Other folks are in this biz and events are off. Bad economy and all. So, the diva act is great for the opera but not for the person cooking for the after party. The customer ultimately either calls next time or you know, just doesn't. Perfect Caterer for a wedding!! 7/20/2008

Wendy Krispin and staff catered our wedding April 19th and did an amazing job!! She was awesome at working with us to have the perfect menu and providing nice touches to personalize the meal including hors dourves such as bacon wrapped oysters and gumbo shots to incorporate a Lousiana flare (my husband's home state.) The pasta bar served in martini glasses was a rave and many complimented the quality of the tenderloin. We continue to receive compliments on the food!! Great job all the way around!! more

elegant surrounding but not stuffy. good food, good service. 12/3/2007

lunch is very nice, relaxed and unhurried. it's in a tea-room type setting. feminine yet not too much so. the restaurant is in a high end design showroom complex. also they really shine on the catering side of the business. first class all the way. The Service is very rude for what you get. I would not reccomend any of there services. 2/23/2007

First, the location is awful. Second the service was rude and felt very abrasive almost like they do not want to be there. There are many great restaurants in Dallas to go to besides this one, if you even want to call it a restaurant, it's more like your at an outlet mall. I say keep going past to a better place you know. more
