Wedding Box Photography Inc

The jury is still out on wedding box. Though my fiancee is the one that has primarily dealt with them, I have been involved to some degree as well. If you are not aware, this place does wedding photography, videography and so on. We used them for ""pre-wedding"" pictures. The experience, the day itself was quite memorable. We worked with Ricky (assistant) and Kevin (photographer). A driver is required to get you around from point a to point b. We did some indoor studio pictures, then we went to Central Park and Times Square. Kevin was high energy the entire time, making us laugh and bringing out our best picture poses. Despite the freezing weather we had a great and fun day. I felt that the experience brought me and my lady even closer than we were. There has been some minor administrative confusion here and there, but it has always been resolved to our satisfaction. Particularly as we keep all the emails and correspondence we receive. It's always useful to have things in writing. Even so, when we brought it up to Aggie, (I believe she is in charge) she was quite helpful and did honor what was written. We saw our pictures yesterday, we were pleased with what we saw for the most part. I'll confess we did expect a little more in the way of actual picture quality. That's why I say the jury is still out on this one, we saw raw images, not yet edited, fixed, etc. I'm not sure if the final printouts, and touched up versions will have improved quality. I'm very eager to see the final ""album"". That will be available in a few months. Don't misunderstand what I am saying, the pictures themselves are great, I mean the quality of the image, some appeared a bit blurry or pixelated, unfortunately those happened to be a few of our favorites. We will see how the end product looks like and reserve final judgement until then. For the time being I will say that our experience has been pleasant (at least for me). Perhaps I will get my fiancee to add her view here, because she is the main person dealing with these folks. more

I had 2 friends that used WB before and their pics came out very nice. They mentioned WB package have doubled since they used them 6 years ago. I thought the price is high because the photos are great and w/good service. Boy was I wrong. Their good service only lasted until you give them 50% of the fee. After you paid them 50% of the package price, everything starts to go downward. The photographer Rex who is also the owner was really good I have to say. I one star is for him. Kevin was the assistant at the time. My studio and outdoor photos came out beautiful. However, they are not very good with details. I mean in my album there are photos where you can see the flash bulb stand in the back behind my dress. Also, they give you a list for suggestion tips for their services...How rude! They expect you to tip them everytime they help you or in other word visit them. The wedding video was lower than average. Everyone could have a relative filmed it for them. After my wedding it took months to receive the photo on the disk. There was a lot of excuses.The front desk girl kept changing probably they don't treat /pay them right. It took months to receive the printed album too because they say they sent to Taiwan to get it printed. If you spend $8000 on your wedding package you expect high quality service; however, I didn't felt I was receiving high quality services at all. You will be pissed if you spend that kind of money and it took longer than 8 months to see your wedding albums. Do not bother with them. you will only get stressed & upset. more

we had wedding on 2010 July, our photography was really good! He took the best photography ! we love our wedding photos! I'm so glad I use their services, also made us very conformable and relax! The entire price package are reasonable. we highly recommended !! I also introduce my friend go there to compare the packages, and the manager also give her very flexible package deal for her own need. I think they have the best photographer in the Queens area. more

I am writing this review because I have had enough with this company. Can you imagine that we still haven?t gotten our studio album as of today (1/20/11) even we took the photos in July 2009, and paid the final payment in May 2010? Here is our story: We had our wedding in 2009, and we originally contracted this company to do our pre-wedding and wedding day services. They priced us around 8k at that time for the package. After we started interacting with the staffs, the service was so terrible that we ended up terminating half of the contract for the wedding day package. The staffs were so un-professional that we felt like we were babysitting their work and constantly need to be on top of them. Alright, back to the pre-wedding day albums. We submitted the final payment in May 2010 and thinking we could receive our albums within a few months to end this entire nightmare. As of today, 1/20/2011, we?ve only gotten one of the two albums. The lady in charge, Aggie Cheng, kept giving us all kinds of excuses. First of all, no one ever called us about the status of our albums after they cashed the money in May. In November, we called, they said that the albums were mis-printed and needed to be submitted again. In December 2010, they said the delivery could not make it because of the snow storm. This morning, I called again, and she suggested there had been a miscommunication with the vendor because of our similar names. At this point, I have completely given up and just don?t know if they would even be serious about delivering our last album. Just to be fare, the photos came out nice and we liked the photographer, however, that does not justify all the horrible things we are still going through with this company. more

I am happy with my photos and was happy with the service on the day of the my indoor and outdoor photos. However, the management left alot to be desired. I was told I could order certain photos for my album and another unique set of photos for the accompanying DVD. However, on the day I was picking the photos out they changed their minds and informed me that in order for me to get the photos I wanted (which were unique from the album, I had to buy ALL the photos they had taken. That was the rip off part. This happened over 2 years ago and I still rememeber. As I result, I did not use them for my actual wedding day photos as well as family photos which I had once my son was born. Too bad... Bad business management and they lost out on alot of potential business so they could milk me for another $700. I spent over $6K on business that I would have gladly given to them if the managers had been polite and respectful. more

If I have a choice again, I won't use Wedding Box for my wedding event. Honestly, the photographer and the makeup are good, that's why I gave them 2 stars, but the administrator is so poor. They provide a bad service and not professional. Their service was not worth for 6k and additional tips on top of the 6k. more

I had hired Wedding Box on the suggestion of a friend, not for a wedding but for a rooftop event. Lily took care of invitations, the photographer and assorted details; she was efficient, courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable. I cannot extol her qualities and company enough!!! our special day was made perfect because of all the service and advice that we received from Wedding Box. the girls were helpful in helping me pick out my gowns and bridemaids dresses. the studio, outdoor, and day of pictures were beautiful. all the limos were booked and on time. the makeup for both myself and my bridesmaids were natural and beautiful. the tuxes fitted the boys perfectly. they were willing to lend a helping hand when i needed it during the day. can't ask for more - except that even their prices were very reasonable. My fiancee and I started our planning process with Wedding Box last fall. Our big day was this past June 2009. Lily Wong and her team patiently walked us through the process explaining all of their services and options. They regularly responded to our phone calls, text messages, and emails as the event drew near. They were even willing to work within our budget and negotiate their prices. My fiancee -- now my wife -- couldn't have asked for a better event. All the details came together making for a magical day. I realize that everyone's experience may be different, but I had an extraordinarily bad experience with this vendor. Seems Citysearch is blocking some of my language, but to summarize - I wound up filing two separate complaints with the better business, one compliant to the dept of consumer affairs, and I took legal action. Again, everyone's experience may be different. So, if you still choose to use this vendor, I promise I won't say ""I told you so"".... i wish i had read the reviews on citysearch before i paid 4k to one of the worst businesses i've worked with and will be sending in a complaint to consumer affairs. They did my make-up wonderfully for my cousin's wedding and I couldn't ask for anything else that looks better. Then i went for a second time for my elegant 18th birthday for studio pictures. they don't just do weddings, but simple studio pictures that came out beautifully; later in my older years I can should my children or grandchildren that is how their grandma or mother looked back in her days. I recondmend this area for anyone who is interested in taking wedding pictures or just personal studio pictures in general. They take their job seriously and will let you pick out which ever one you like. Cons: parking more

My friend used them for his wedding this past saturday (10/29), and we were horrified about how the tux's looked and fit. Before we tried them on, they looked ok, but onced we put them on, some of us had shirt sleeves that were too short, others had pants that were too long or too short, and 2 of the groom's top jacket buttons fell off an hour before his wedding! I can't believe how bad the quality and measurements were. They measured everyone and we still came out looking very poorly. If you're reading this and need tux's, do not use them because I don't want anyone to experience something like this on thier special occasion.
