Walgreens is my favorite store 7/30/2008

I'm a Walgreen's junkie. I use the store for as many purchases as I can manage because prices are good, variety is amazing for having so much under one roof. I take advantage of discount and bonus programs, use the Walgreen's card for cheaper prescriptions, and use the rebate program to cut prices even lower. I prefer the Milton Avenue store. I've only had one or two negative interactions with staff, and frankly, that's just the "people" aspect of it all. Anywhere you have people there will be some who will strike sparks off you. I am hooked up with the automatic prescription reminder which is a real boon because sometimes I just plain forget. All in all the store is well run, well stocked, efficient (particularly in the pharmacy) and the staff by and large helpful and considerate. It's a great store. more

Walgreens Needs to Learn Customer Service 4/25/2008

The pharmacy manager at the Walgreens Pharmacy at 1717 Milton Ave., Janesville, needs a few refresher lessons in customer service, especially with respect to that store's drive thru service.During my lunch hour today, I sat in the drive through lanes 15 minutes before the attendant had been able to service only a second customer. Several people behind me drove off, unable to get service. After another 10 minutes, and after the person in front of me drove off in disgust over her wait, I got my chance only to find that the medicine that had been faxed over to the store was still not ready 3 hours later. I complained and demanded to see the pharmacy manager. Instead, I was given an intern who of course could do nothing but listen. As I was complaining to her, I notice that, finally, they had a second person to assist the other customers. \r This lackadasical attitude towards customer service is unacceptable. I understand when the staff may be overwhelmed from time to time. But this isn't t more
