The crew was very nice and they did not make a mess or scratch my furniture. I do recommend to everyone to use them if they are moving.

Von Sydow's stored our possessions in their facility for two years. Prior to taking delivery of the possessions a sales rep came to our house to do a moving survey. Part of this meeting was to let us know what we could store and could not store at the facility. We had 46 bottles of wine and the sales rep told us that they would be OK to store at the facility because it was climate controlled. When the wine was delivered, the bottles of wine were all ruined due to high temperatures. We found out later that the facility was not temperature controlled. The sales rep acting as an agent of the company should have been aware that wine could not be stored at the storage facility. Von Sydow's tried to use the excuse that it was an Act of God. High temperatures during the summer months are expected and the results predictable if they knew the facility was not temperature controlled. Von Sydow was not willing to reimburse us for what we thought was a fair amount. I was just asking for them to take responsibility for what their sales agent committed to us. more

It's amazing how much stuff a person can acquire over a time. Having to move all this stuff is a bigger job then I want to handle. I don't mind buying but I hate moving. I must say these guys took the stress pain and aggravation out of the moving process. more

""Those are delicate!"", ""What do you mean, convenience fee?"", and ""I should've done this myself"", were just three of the phrases that I regretfully uttered during our nightmare of a move twelve years ago, so I was not looking forward to what would happen when we bought our house a few months ago. Luckily, my friend had just used Von Sydows to move into her new apartment and she gave them a glowing recommendation, so I cautiously agreed to try them out, and I was simply blown away by how great they were. more

I never thought that our family would move. What I expected would turn out to be a nightmare, really went better than I could have imagined. Von Sydow's Moving and Storage was professional and patient. The staff knew just how overwhelmed we were, and they went out of their way to makes the process as simple as possible. They helped us to create a schedule that made certain we were out of the old house in time. I am absolutely floored by their attention to detail. Not one single piece of property was damaged during the entire process, and we had more furniture than you could ever imagine. Thank you so much, Von Sydow's. You really came through for me.\r more

When my job unexpectedly transferred me across the state last year, I was overwhelmed. I did not know how I was going to move all of my belongings in time to begin my new job. It is amazing how much better I felt about my situation after contacting Von Sydow's Moving & Storage. I knew that I wanted to rent a small apartment for awhile before buying a house, so the company took care of storing my large furniture and other items. The movers carefully wrapped the furniture to avoid damage, and the storage facility was climate controlled. When my items were delivered, they were in great condition. more

My family and I moved from Chicago to Des Moines, Iowa, last year. Our budget for moving was pretty tight, so I contacted several different moving companies. We chose Von Sydow's Moving & Storage because the company offered reasonable rates. More importantly, Von Sydow's offered high quality services even though their prices were low. The customer service that we received was top notch. We had never completed a large move before, so we had a lot of questions. Each time I contacted Von Sydow's Moving & Storage, I was able to speak with the most helpful representative right away.\r more

Awesome company. They did a fantastic job. They moved quickly, didn't damage any of my items, and when my couch would not fit thru my new hallway they even held onto it over the weekend and redelivered the couch the following Monday when someone could come disassemble/reassemble. Awesome experience! more

WOW, I look back on all the other reviews on here and I question if they are talking about the same company. I had a GREAT move with Von Sydow's Moving & Storage. Their price was better than all the other quotes I had gotten, their men were really nice and super helpful, and their employees helped me through the whole process from beginning to end. They are definitely a 5 STAR company. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a move in the future. more

A big thanks to Von Sydow's Moving & Storage for moving me on such short notice! I was recently transfered jobs which required me to move from Chicago, IL to Jacksonville, FL. I was given 4 estimates by local moving companies and Von Sydow's had given me by far the best deal out of them all. Their office staff kept me updated if there were any changes. The workers showed up on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently, and made sure everything was neatly put away where I wanted it. I would definitely use them again! more
