Just got back from a late night dinner at Voleur that was so wonderful I feel I have to gush. Ive had drinks here a few times before, and the atmosphere was so wonderful I knew i'd have to come back for dinner some night. I finally made it back tonight and had a wonderful meal. The spot is just beautiful: an old, old building with high ceilings, subtle lighting and classy decor without that slightly creepy homogenized Mcminnimins feel. The bartender/waitress was sweet and attentive without being annoying, and she offered great food suggestions. The 'Oregonzla' salad i ordered was wonderful: walnuts, gorgonzola cheese and thin-cut green apples over mixed greens w/ a pomegranate dressing that was not too sweet and not too vinegary. My boyfriend had a salmon entree that was cooked perfectly and come with a pretty generous helping of sides. We split a bowl of potato soup (not bad but nothing special!) and a plate of *super* tasty fries that came with blueberry habanero ketchup- so good, but we wished the small serving of ketchup was alittle bigger. The drinks at Voleur are great, they have an extensive list of infused vodkas, tequila, bourbons and gins. The hot toddy made with fig-walnut bourbon, lemon, honey and spices I had was delicious and my boyfriend loved his hot pepper tequila margarita (why he chose a margarita in the middle of winter is beyond me, but he said it was great). I cant wait to go back and try more!
Pros: wonderful ambience, an exciting menu, infused liquo cocktails
Cons: none!
