This was our first visit to the Vizcaya. The salad, tapas, and Sangria were wonderful; however, the entree (Chilean Sea Bass) was served lukewarm and bordering on under cooked. I asked to have it warmed and it came back just slightly warmer (I felt a little more comfortable that it might have been thoroughly cooked). \r
The salad although good, was served on a black (contemporary) plate that reflected fingerprints all around the edges in the dim lighting...how romantic. (?)\r
I eat Chilean Sea Bass rarely (once a year tops) and am always so thrilled with this fish...Not this time!! There was nothing special about how this fish was dressed (consider a crusting,,,macademian/almonds??). The room temperature Sea Bass was a big white blob on my big white plate,,not appetizing.\r
My overall impression was that the Vizcaya typically does very nice Tapas and Sangria but lacks experience in the """"entree"""" side of the menu. If that is true, perhaps that is what you should limit the Valentine Menu to.
Pros: Tapas and Sangria
Cons: Entrees; cleanliness, and presentation
