Pleasant atmosphere, lovely people, & beautiful results.

Worst

I had went to VitaStile about 3 times and I had both Stacy and Jackie do my hair and I found these ladies to be EXTREMELLY snobby. They really made no attempt to make conversation...

Awesome salon! I have gotten my hair done by Gay, Candace and Stacey and they are all excellent! I have been going there for years and I highly recommend this salon. I also have extensions for fullness and love them. They do an excellent job! more

I loved it! 5/13/2012

I was referred to VitaStile by a friend looking for a new salon and stylist. I went to Stacey her stylist and she is excellent! I showed her a cut I wanted, and she did it perfectly, also she put highlights in my hair. My cut and color is my favorite style and color I have ever had done before! I found a new salon and stylist! I am so happy I was referred and visited VitaStile! more

What a Sweet Place 1/28/2012

I was looking for something new and I think I found it. I was ready for a change so I went looking for a new hair style. I was unsure as to what I wanted. I decided on VitaStile because of the reviews and the 5 star rating. Stacey was great and she had such great ideas about changing my style and color. I ended with the perfect hair. Excellent! 11/21/2011

I went in for my first visit to VitaStile and was pleasantly surprised. VitaStile was the first salon I decided to give a try instead of my usual one in Pittsburgh. I am a student at Slippery Rock University and was happy to see just how close the salon was to the school. I walked into an extremely clean, well kept, and cute salon. Everyone was friendly and very informative. I was also pleased to find that you get a complimentary hand wax! I loved my hair cut and how thorough my stylist was. She not only listened to my ideas and concerns for my hair, but explained everything she was going to do and I felt very comfortable. My haircut looked great! Overall I had a great experience and will be back to VitaStiles hair salon! more

I go here to get my hair colored, and the girls that work there are very helpful to help pick the right color that is perfect for you!! I have never had any problems after getting my hair done here, and the girls know what they are doing!! Very Pleased! more

Personality Plus 10/21/2011

\r I have had curly hair my whole life, and yet I've never really had a cut or style that gives my hair a personality. I always figured that curly hair does what it wants and typically, what my hair wants to do is frizz. Thanks to Vita Stile, all of that has changed! Not only did Candace suggest a Deva Cut and a bold new color (Cinnamon), she also spent a great deal of time and patience teaching me to use the Deva Curl products. What a difference! My curls are so much more managable and the style is easy to maintain. The color that Candace chose compliments both my complexion and eye color so much better than my previous highlights, that people have asked if it's my natural shade. I could not be more pleased with my hair's new personality! more

Love my hair! 9/20/2011

I've been going to Vita Stile for about a year now and I have always been pleased with the results. Both Candice and Stacy have styled me and they both did a great job. \r \r However, on my most recent visit, Candace outdid herself with the Deva cut. I love, love, LOVE my hair! The cut, the color, the highlights...it looks great!\r \r To all the girls with curly hair: you know that feeling of dread when it's time to get a haircut? And after spending much time and money at a salon, you leave hating your haircut and your curly hair? Go see Candace at Vita Stile. It will change the whole salon experience for you! Vita Stile is 35 minutes from where I live and it is so worth the drive! more

Perfection! 9/9/2011

I went in just for a trim and somthing different. I hadn't had my hair colored or anything for about 7 years. Linda was my stylist and she was amazing! I gave her free reign to do what she though would look best. (I think she was a little excited at that prospect) We ended up cutting a few inches and highlighting for the first time ever. It turned out beautifully! Everyone I see comments on how great my hair looks. Linda was such a great girl and she really knows her stuff. I will most certainly be back! more

Another Happy Happy Customer! 8/10/2011

Just like the reviewer before me, after moving back to the area I was trying to find a new stylist. I too went elsewhere with horrific results. Linda spent a lot of time explaining to me what the best course of action was, what it would take to get there, and how she was going to do it. She made sure I understood everything she was going to do and that I was okay with it. She really listened to what I wanted in the long run and discussed what would work best for me. The salon is really nice and I love the complimentary paraffin hand treatment! more

Happy, happy customer 7/20/2011

After moving to the area I had the dilemma of finding a new hairstylist. After one unpleasant visit to another salon, I found VitaStile. I'm so glad I did! Linda was my hairdresser and talked to me about what would look best for me and really listened to what I wanted and worked with me on what we could do. It took 3 hours for her to do my hair and she never seemed upset or in a rush, she took her time and made sure it looked the best for me and was exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely be returning. more

The place for curly girls 6/21/2011

At long last! A salon where a curly girl can get a great, personalized haircut, that suits your curls, your face shape and your lifestyle! I was a little nervous, after a lifetime of really bad haircuts, but Linda was terrific. She took her time, made me feel comfortable, and made my hair look gorgeous. They offer the full line of Deva Curl products and have been trained in the Devachan method of cutting curly hair. Girls, if you have curly hair, run, don't walk, to VitaStile. Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is relaxing, and my stylist, Linda, is great. I've found my ""home"" at last! more

Best Salon EVER 5/25/2011

I have never in the entirety of my life had a salon cut that I LIKED, let alone LOVED. But now I have. I have naturally curly hair and it has always been botched no matter where I've gone. My appointment was initially with Linda but as Gay was there and free she did the actual cut (because my hair is so long, I think Linda was a little intimidated by it & my nervousness) while Linda watched on. Gay was amazing! She knew more about my own hair than I did, talked me through every step of the process, and told me what I should & shouldn't do with my hair. My hair is a little shorter than I'd like, but that's because of previous bad hair cuts, which I am assured I will never have now because of VitaStile. They also sold me another one of the amazing DevaCurl products--B'Leave In--and I love it already. I'm going back in 4 weeks for a Biotin Keratin Treatment which I'm very excited about. Overall I would recommend this salon to anyone and everyone, but especially to my fellow Curly people as we rarely find someone who can cut our hair properly. =)) more

Very pleased 5/12/2011

My husband and I have been looking for a local place to get our hair cut since we moved to this area a few years ago. We were both VERY pleased with Linda S., and feel like we've found our salon and stylist. My husband went to her first, and suggested that I try her out. I'm so glad that I did! The salon is very unassuming from the outside, but warm and inviting inside. Linda listened to what we had to say about our hairstyles, and took her time to make them right. I had our girls with me when I went, and she was AWESOME with them! You can tell she loves what she does, and that is SO important! I enjoyed her company as well. She is very easy to talk to. We are also both pleased with how our hair is growing out. Thank you, Linda! more

Definately Impressed!! 3/25/2011

This is the first time I have ever had a stylist redo my hair because it didn't turn out the way we had hoped the first time! I have naturally wavy/culy hair and this is the only salon in the area that offers a product that actually works and a stylist that is willing to do what it takes to make her client happy. I will for sure go back and will make this ""my salon of choice"". The only downfall was that it is a little pricey and I would like to go back soon to get my hair colored but can't really spend $200 on my hair in one month! Otherwise a great experience. THIS IS THE ONE! 1/5/2011

The way I judge a good hair cut is not how I look when I leave the shop, but how I look six weeks later. When I find a hairdresser that can make a hair cut look good for that length of time, I tend to hold on to him or her. I kept my last hairdresser for ten years, but when he quit, I had to find someone else. A year ago I got married and moved from Pittsburgh to Slippery Rock. My challenge was to find a local quality hairdresser that could compare to what I was used to having in Pittsburgh. After going to three different salons and not wanting to go back, (they weren't terrible, I just wanted something better), I read the reviews on CitySearch and decided to give VitaStile a chance. I had my fourth cut at VitaStile yesterday. Gay and Jackie have cut my hair and I haven't been disappointed once. And so, it is with pleasure that I write another great review! Love the salon, love the girls, but most of all, love my hair! more
