Visionworks Columbia Crossing

Do not ever use Doctor's Visionworks at 1315 North Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs, Colorado because they do not take care of the customer after they get your money. They have a ridiculous 30 day policy limit on slight corrections to your contact lens prescription! After you pay $108.00 for your vision testing and your fitting they will work with you to get your contact lenses for 30 days only after they write a prescription. Kaiser Permanente has a much better 90 day policy on this. Any place in Colorado Springs has to be better than this place. Doctor's Visionworks will charge you $70 if you want a slight correction to your contact lens prescription after 30 days! They do not take care of the customer's needs at all. Please do not use them because they will rip you off and leave you hanging and will refuse to help you after they write you a prescription if 30 days has expired. How ridiculous and rude can a company be towards their customer's anyway? They also have old antiquated vision testing equipment there and it keeps you coming back over and over to get your vision successfully corrected. Your time is valuable and you need your vision successfully corrected on the first or second try not the fifth try. They never had the same doctor there twice either and I had to deal with someone different each trip. How awful is that? Very awful treatment. One of the young male doctor's there was very rude. Very unprofessional and degrading towards me. This place needs a class on customer relations to say the least. If you do not believe me go ahead and use them for contact lenses. You will end up feeling ripped off and left hanging out in the cold and upset to say the least. If your chart shows to many trips to their store they will start to mention it to you to make you feel inadequate too. Contact lenses are hard to fit and these people seem to have too much else to do to help you. Please do not use this company for your vision needs. more

The doctor at this location is terrific. She takes time to explain the exam procedure and results, and seems to care about her patients. Unfortunately, the caring attitude is confined to her, only. The staff is rude, short, and spends more time chatting with each other than providing customer services. If you call and do not want to schedule an eye exam, you are put on hold and forgotten. Complaints to the manager do not work, as the uncaring attitude starts with her. I have found ti worth the money to get my exam done there, and then take my prescription elsewhere for real service. I recommend you do, also. more

I've used the Columbia store many times and generally had good service. They have also repaired glasses that needed a fix, several times for me. The staff was generally courteous. But now they are past the 2 week delivery date for my current pair of glasses and when I called they said something about broken equipment and would be available at 2PM today. Why didn't they call when they passed the due date? I'm going somewhere else next time because their selection of glasses seems a little tired to me. Also, the place is really dirty. The plastic chairs are filthy and the carpets look like they have never been cleaned. Disgusting! Actually this is my real motivation for writing this review. It's completely fixable-- just complete neglect. more

I made an appointment hear. The staff was rude, told me I was late when I was five minutes early. Due to that I was told I had to wait. I waited for a hour then left. Pros: Nothing to report Cons: Rude, talk on their cell phones before doing their jobs, staff talks about patients in the open (not nice comments) more

I had GREAT visit today with Dr Hollie Straka. It has been ten plus years since I last had an eye exam; the help and knowledge the staff provided was top notch. They explained everything about my vision test in great detail to help me understand the evaluation process and health of my eyes are. I would highly recommend a visit with Dr Straka!! Excellent contact fitting!! Pros: Helpful, courteous and considerate. Cons: located in Annapolis and I live in Baltimore :( worth the trip though.. more

I had a horrible experience with the staff at this place. I wanted a contact lens exam. They charged me for both a contact lens and a spectacle exam. When I brought this to their attention, they said for first time customers both exams will be done even if the customer only asked for a contact lens exam. I said that they should have told me that before I went in for the exam, since I was a first time customer. They refused to acknowledge their mistake, were rude, and did not apologize. They asked me to call the 1-800 number to complain, to which I replied, I would. I just paid them $100 ($50 of which came out of my pocket) and I had to call the 1-800 number?
