Has It Been 12 Months Since Your Last Visit? This Is Something That ""YOU"" Need To Know Before Your Return Visit. I Have Very Little Confidence In The Front Office Staff Here...The First Faces Of The Office So To Speak. They Mailed Me A Flyer Informing Me To Call In To Schedule An Appointment, So I Do That. After Arriving For My Appointment, Checking In With The Front Office Staff And Sitting For A Little While, It Began. From There A Tall Blond Female Representative With Glasses Lead Me Back For The First Stage Of The Exam. This Rep Asked Me A Question, And Because It Was Not Clear What She Was Asking; I In Turn Asked A Question: “What Does That Mean For Me Today, Do I Need To Do Something?” Her Answers: ""No. You Are Fine."" So I Took It That I Was Fine. So I Move On To Dr K And He Ask; ""Did She Tell You...(some of the same lingo from the first person)"" Yes, She Told Me. I Replied. Then He Continued On With The Check Up. Now That That's Over I Move Along Back To The For Desk This Time I Am Asked The Same Question Followed By A Request For Payment. What? I Have Insurance And Should NOT Have A Balance From Today's Visit! Well You Came In Before The “12 Month Period” Of Your Last Visit Someone Finally Tells Me In Plain English. Wow, Are Your Seriouse?\r My Great Disappointments Are: 1.) They Mailed Me A Flyer Requestion That I Call And Confirm An Appoint, And Having Done That I Showed Up At That Appointed Time. I Came To The Office Because, You/ Your Staff Said It Was Time For Me To Be In The Office. 2) When I Got To The Office, Instead Of Having It Made Clear To Me (even after I asked) That I Had Actually Come In Before Time; The Representative Made A Monetary Decision On my Behalf And Continued On With The Exam Anyway. (My Response To Her Question Was, ""No I Did Not Know That; What Does That Mean? 3.) I Left The Office Responsible For A Balance, And After ""2"" Ignored Letters To The Doctor, I Received An Inflated Invoice In The Mail. They Didn't Even Offer To Waive The Bill Or At Least To Split It. Hello, “I Am Only Here Because You Mailed Me, Then I Called You, And You/Your Staff Scheduled Me.” The Examination Representative Should Be Responsibe For The Bill. She Is The One Who Said, ""Oh It Will Be Alright"". Umm, No It Will Not Be Alright If It Translate To Me Being Responsible For Payment (when I have Insurance to cover the service) Or Me Having A Balance. Not Even An Apology Was Offered. \r Anyway; I Will Miss John And Rick, They Are Two Of The Absolute Best At Assisting You In Choosing Frames And Glasses To Both Suit Your Need And Your Face. \r more

Super Doctor - Caring Staff 3/14/2012

I've worn glasses for almost 50 years and as a new patient, found Dr. Moore's office and staff kind, caring, and just super. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable. Best of all - a very thorough exam plus no sales push to buy new glasses. I needed no change, but before the tech knew that, he offered to write the prescription for me so I could go elsewhere for less expensive glasses. I'm so looking forward to next year - I'll probably need a change and am pleased to say I'll be seeing Dr. Moore and her staff for my ongoing care. more

Great place for amazing glasses 4/12/2011

As a committed eyeglass wearer I love this place. Because my job requires exact color matching and lots of detail work I avoid contact lenses. I have ordered glasses in the past that I just didn't like once they came in. Not since I found this place. I am so nearsighted that I have to trust the people who are showing and fitting the glasses on me and that requires them to have a really good eye for face shape, and fashion. My current pair is an orangey, metal-rimmed pair that I would have NEVER picked out by myself but it looks so perfect on me and I'm currently waiting on a pair of brown tortoise shell with thicker frames. They have a great selection of frames at all price points and I've been able to splurge a time or two and found the perfect pair for less money when I'm on a budget. If you are looking to get a pair of glasses that really makes the most of your face I would recommend Vision Park. more

If you want to be talked down to go here 7/26/2010

My old optometrist closed and I needed contacts, so I went to Vision Park. I had a recent Rx, but not an official one, so I had to retake an eye exam. Ok, fine, charge me for an eye exam, no problem. NEXT they wanted to do a $90 contact fitting for contacts I knew fit! What BS. I knew the Rx worked for me, as I'd had these lenses for over a year.. Ok, fine. I pay for the exam and the fitting. I call today to let them know the contacts fit perfectly and to order more, and they give me a BS run around, saying that I need to come in for YET ANOTHER unnecessary visit to follow up on the fitting before they would order my contacts. I felt the Dr was quite condescending in his response as well. I don't care how long you went to school, I'm the client, and that's who you are there to serve. It was obvious that the Dr cared more about making money off another appointment than helping me see clearly. At this point I called Eye Care Associates and setup an appointment there. more

Nope-I was wrong 2/26/2010

I have to take back my earlier 5 star review. While they got me in quickly and put the "smudge free" lens coating or whatever it was, it didnt work. I told them about it once, it was waved off as nothing. When I went back again, the woman who works there was a total B. I had overheard her talking to other customers before and she was really rude. So, what it comes down to is that they were so anxious to get me in because they knew it was a rip off and quick easy money. I will never return there, I can not stress enough how Horrible the woman who works on the sales side is. If she worked for me, well, it wouldnt be for long. more

it never fails that when we go out of town my husband will lose a contact and of course he doesn't have a his glass w/ him, great place for quick stop. more

I Feel Like a Rockstar! 5/8/2009

I just got two fabulous new pairs of glasses from VisionPark, ordered during their ogi and JeeVice trunk shows recently, and I love them both! I feel like a rockstar in my new sunnies and love the sleek, modern look of my titanium frames to wear while driving. The staff is great - very personable and genuine - and take customer service to the next level. When I picked my new shades up they gladly tightened and cleaned my old sunglasses (not purchased from VisionPark) free of charge. Highly recommended! Pros: Great selection, personalized service, attention to detail more

As a photographer, my eyesight is everything to me. 5/4/2009

As a photographer, my eyesight is everything to me. I don't settle for average or OK when it comes to choosing an eye care practice. They have to be absolutely top-notch. It is critical that I be able to trust my eye doctor and feel confident in their ability to care for my most valuable asset - my vision. I have used the services of both Dr. Moore and Dr. Kuchenreuther (aka Dr. K) and both have exceeded my expectations. I have never felt rushed, or that I was just another patient. They take the time to answer my questions and explain the procedures and why they are necessary. I wear both glasses and contacts, so I've had the opportunity to work with their opticians and contacts specialists. They have always been knowledgeable (I ask a lot of technical questions), friendly and professional. I love that they keep up on all the latest trends in eyewear -- both in fashion and technology. As a regular patient, I've been invited to several special events in their practice as well. They often have reps from various frame designers set up trunk shows in their showroom to let people see and purchase the latest cool frames that are not always available in the showroom. I also noticed that the events are sometimes tied to charitable efforts - always cool. Pros: Clean modern office, courteous, professional staff more

They really take care of your eyes! 4/23/2009

Dr. Moore was very helpful in explaining to me my options in contact lenses. I have a very difficult prescription and she made the best recommendation for my circumstances but not after explaining all my options. Her chair-side manner is great. The wait in the office for the appt was short. They do excellent follow up and provide any additional help you may need with your contacts. I needed them to be worked on some more at the lab and they took care of that quickly. Pros: knowledgeable and thorough doctors Cons: none that I have experienced more

Fit my needs 2/3/2009

Before I had heard of Visionpark, I had my eyes examined and had gotten a prescription from a separate doctor. Since they are my first glasses, I went to 5 glasses stores. Visionpark had the right combination of things I needed: they actually answered the phone, they are convenient to my house, they stay open late enough for me to go after work, they accept my insurance, and they take the time to help fit you to the right frames. Plus, they are all very friendly. My only issue was that, after ordering my glasses and paying half of my copay, I did not hear from them for 3 weeks, at which time I called them. Granted, the holidays fell within that time, but I was disappointed that I had to call them. Nonetheless, when I did go in, they spent a lot of time with me, fitting and discussing with me any questions I had, as I was a first time glasses wearer. Overall, it was a very good experience and I plan to go back! more

Incompetent, unorganized office and staff 12/10/2008

I was a new patient to this practice, and I will NOT be returning to this office next year. My appointment was originally for 9:30 on a Tuesday. 20 minutes before my appointment, as I was walking out the door, I received a phone call from the office telling me that the doctor would not be in. They offered me a 10:30 appointment the same day with another doctor, or an appointment on another day. Since I had already planned my entire day around this appointment, I took the 10:30 appointment. I arrived 5 minutes early, and ended up sitting for another 30 minutes, waiting on the doctor. Finally, I saw the doctor, who explained that the other doctor had called in sick. I told him I understood, but didn't understand why I was told only 20 minutes before my appointment was to take place. The doctor then told me that I had to submit to a ""contact fitting"" session to make sure that my contacts were the right fit for me. Nevermind that I told him that I had been wearing these same brand of contacts for over ten years. I know that other offices make contact wearers go through this process, but I continue to think it's just a money making scheme. And of course, this office didn't have my brand of contacts in stock. They said they would order a trial pair and have me come back in when they arrived, about 3-4 business days from then. SIX business days later, I still hadn't received a phone call from them, so called to inquire. The ""contact specialist"" informed me that the order hadn't even been placed!!! She said she would have the doctor (who is also the office manager) call me back today. I'm awaiting the phone call, but am not expecting much from this office who has already repeatedly demonstrated their incompetence. At this point, I'm considering filing a complaint with my insurance company to deny Vision Park payment, so I can take my insurance money and go somewhere else. Pros: clean office Cons: incompetent, unorganized staff and doctor, unnecessary ""required"" procedures more

Sarah 7/16/2008

I have been coming to Vision Park for a few years and just wanted to post a review on here to let people know that this is a very friendly doctors office. That is very hard to find. There are times that I have walked into a doctor's office and felt like the front desk staff wished I never walked in. This is not the case with Vision Park! The doctors also take TIME with you! Sometimes this causes them to run behind and that is frustrating but really when do you go to the doctor and NOT wait? I just wanted to review them as an established and ongoing patient. more

friendly, knowledgable, and efficient 4/9/2008

I've had some bad eye-doctor experiences, but I went to see Dr. K based on reviews I found here and elsewhere. Friendly staff is highly important to me, and these folks couldn't be any nicer. They all know what they're doing and they all take the time to talk, which is rare to find, especially in doctors. I never felt rushed...and I felt heard. The men in the glasses shop were great about finding the right frame for me. I honestly couldn't have had a better experience! Pros: friendly and knowledgable staff Cons: range of available frames was good but not excellent more

Worked me in! 1/9/2008

I had an issue with my contacts and wanted to be seen. I was pretty sure it was nothing but just wanted to be sure before I went out of town. They were very nice to work me in and the doctors were so very helpful! I am so glad to have such caring doctors and staff. They really make you feel like part of their family! more

Helpful Staff, Caring Doctors!!!! 9/12/2007

This office moved from Capital Blvd to a MUCH more convenient location at the intersection of Strickland and Creedmoor Rd. MUCH more professional office and nicer area!!! The doctors are very caring and willing to accommodate my busy schedule. A friend of mine was even seen on a Saturday for an emergency appointment. (Something was in her eye) The staff was very helpful answering my insurance questions and not sour faced people that you see at some offices. When my husband was looking at glasses the optician's took SO much time with him, helping him pick the perfect pair. We will definitely recommend this office to all our family and friends! A great experience all around. Pros: NEW LOCATION! Friendly Staff! more
