This is the worst place and I would NOT recommend it to any one. The reviews are true! The staff at VIP 1 is untrained and unprofessional. They expect the children to be like robots and then try to bully you into following their directions. They have not training in teaching social skills in a group setting and there is no oversight of the classrooms. The office manager takes no action and the high staff turn over is terrible for children who need consistency. Instead of helping parents work with their kids they put no plan in place to support the child at the facility. I can't wait until my child is done there and I will NOT send my baby there. Sorry...just lost 27000 for the three years my baby would have attended! Find a nicer place for your money! more

I placed my child in the after school program and without notice they stopped the program. Not only did the director stop the program in the middle of the school year - she had NO REGARD AS TO HOW DIFFICULT IT WOULD BE TO FIND ANOTHER PLACE ON SHORT NOTICE AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR - I agree with Girlie1 that they are only concerned about MONEY - so you know what 2 of my friends asked about the NEW location and I told them to RUN TO THE HIGH HILLS!!!! as they would likely close the center on a Wednesday and expect you not to complain or have issue with it!\r NEVER AGAIN... NEGATIVE STARS FOR YOU VIP ! more

The staff is wonderful, but the Director and New Manager is a major B----h, has no respect for staff and absolutely no respect for parents. The only thing they worry about is MONEY!! I suggest choosing a smaller scale daycare where you feel welcomed, NOT this place where they think they are Gods.... more

My son goes to VIP II and he absolutely loves it and his teachers. He has learned so much in this last year its amazing!! The end of the year show was great!! The staff are absolutely great!! The Director on the other hand is something else. Why she keeps choosing to bring up her family and introducing them to the audience is beyond me!! She should be introducing her amazing staff to the audience not her family. I have seen the Director twice once in the xmas show and once again at the end of the year show. She really did sound nice and sincere but I can read behind her BS. Please take care of your staff and treat them with respect that they deserve if it wasn't for them you wouldnt be with 3 VIP's right now. Yes the director is all about the money but I can honestly say that the staff are there for our children and take very good care of them. But she should treat her workers better with respect and a raise and health insurance!! If she would do that she wouldnt have that huge turnaround with employees. more

Well what can I say about VIP??? My kids were 2 and 3 when they started there. I must say I was very impressed by this school. I loved it. However, from the time they started there, they would come home and just be very out of control. I discussed this with the school several times, but they kept saying, no the kids are well behaved at school. This behavior only started when they started at VIP. Admittedly, they learned ALOT being at VIP. that is one good thing i have to say about them. But manners, they didnt teach the kids any manners, or how to behave. My kids and most of the other kids in there were jumping up and down as if they were indeed in a zoo. Then, in my son's class, there was a boy who was very rude, and never listened, and behaved really bad, and every single day, the teacher would tell me that my son is following this boy, and that i had to talk to my son. But they never did anything about the other boy. They never moved the other boy to another class, or even suspend him from the school. So i had to deal wiht the consequences every day at home with my son adapting the rude behavior and attitude. The school is very expensive, and still you have to provide your own food and snacks for the kids, alot of other daycares charge less and supply your kids with lunch and snacks. This place is just a money making business. They are in it to make a profit from us parents. I never got a discount for taking two children to the school, and other places offer discounts. But the last straw is this year, when i had to pay for registration for summer school there, and notified that the kids will be taking off one week and will be back the following week. Do you know what they did? They gave my kids spots out to other kids, even though i paid my registration fee. So the following Monday now, i drop off the kids as usual, and the receptionist, yes, the rude woman that answers the phone, called us to pick up the kids, saying how they dont have space for my kids, who have been going to VIP 2 for 1 whole year, and when i had paid my registration fee already to save the spot. You tell me what was I to do? I had no where to place my kids. These morons didnt have the decency to even pick up the phone to say Ms. are your kids coming back next week, as we have other kids that need the spot. NOTHING!!! The teachers are all out of school, and arent even experienced enough to take care of our kids. I even caught one of them making out behind the school. What the hell are they doing whilst we are working? For those parents out there that think this place is great, open your damn eyes! they are only out for your money! more

Children get sick often the cleaning isn't done properly.\r The office manager is horrible to the employees which makes them unhappy and quit or ignore the kids more.\r They drill letters and such so you believe the children are learning but the kids are not learning what is important at this age which is to learn through play that includes trusting caring adults.\r It is not the teachers that are at fault...it comes from management they hire these young inexperienced ladies whom are trying to do their best despite their lack of education and experience. \r As, I waitied for my child to be ""released"" from care I saw the office manager screaming at one of the young ladies because a child was hurt. \r She then proceeded to tell her that everything was caught on camera and now they would have a real problem. The young lady began to cry and said that the camera would show that she was properly supervising the children it is just that she has been overwhelmed caring for 24 children all by herself because others keep quitting. \r How can a young person or any person care for 24 children if they do not have a degree that will enable them to do so in a safe manner....this place breaks the law everyday!!!!!!!!! My son started attending this daycare facility in September 2006 at the tender age of 21/2 years old. Before this, i had a babysitter at home. My babysitter was excellent with by son but yet he never wanted me to leave him...with ANYONE. It was always very difficult for me to get to work on time because i couldnt leave him crying like that. This was my main concern when enrolling him in VIP 1. He cried there too, but his teacher and the school aid would come to the door to get him from me in a very calm and colleted manner. They would hug and comfort him so that i could leave with a peaceful heart. Within weeks, my son was giving me hugs and kisses and saying his goodbyes to me and going into the facility following his normal routine of washing his hands before he goes to his classroom and putting his things away. I was so proud to see him learning so quickly the things that we have been trying to teach him for months. I especially enjoy their shows and the very creative crafts that he brings home. It always touches my heart to see Alice (director) crying at every show, especially graduation. She is so attached to the children. At the last show, as we were leaving, my son saw her and insisted that i go to her so that he can give her a hug. I was touched to see the way she expressed her pride in him. I have recommended VIP1 to several family and friends...some of their children now attending VIP1, and next year, my now 1 year old baby girl will also be enrolled. \r There are only a few negatives...PARKING...i got so many tickets already. and the late fee i think is too high and strict because sometimes there are extenuating cirumstances and should have a litle flexability. Also the outdoor playground as mentioned by other reviews is too small BUT they make up for that by having a large indoor playground.\r To parents who are looking for a daycare for their child..Bare in mind that nothing is perfect BUT VIP1 is as close to perfection that you will find. i highly recommend vip 1 my daughter has been in vip 1 since age 2 when i put my daughter in vip1 i saw the different in my daughter in 3 months she was talking more was singing and starting learning alot. the staff are very nice and helpful.\r they alway answer my questions. my daughter is now 5 and is still attending vip1 \r she is so happy there, one thing i can tell you is if your child is very happy in a daycare and they tell you they are happy with the teachers it makes me feel good knowing that my daughter is happy. believe me if my child would not be happy at vip there is no way she would be there. the staff are so wonderful, and helpful\r they take good care of her and they do keep me inform of her daily activity\r she is adding subtracting and learning to read and spell and i think that is wonderful i highly recommend vip 1 Cons: no parking more

My daughter attended VIP 2 from 2005 until 2008. She started 5 days after her 2nd birthday. I of course was devastated that I had to go back to work and trust someone else to take care of my precious little girl. But I quickly got over it when I saw how much the teachers cared for my little girl. They sincerly loved her and cared for her as well as all the other children. My daughter has learned so much from attending this daycare not only educationally but socially. She made so many friends and had so many play dates outside school and developed relationships to treasure for a long time to come. My daughter graduated from VIP and her last day of school was filled with tears for everyone. My daughter, the teachers and myself. I will always be greatful to the loving staff. more

My daughter has been attending VIP1 since 2007 and my wife and I are extremely happy with her development. She was attending another daycare center since she was 6 months, so we were concerned how she would adjust to a new center. She loves VIP - her teachers and classmates. She comes home singing songs she has learned, with artwork she has done and sharing with me if she had a good day or bad day (like we all have). I was concerned about the cleanliness and security of the center. VIP does a very good job in both areas and I should know, this is what I do for a living. VIP 1 has been a true blessing to my daughter who was in need of attention and tender care. She has learned so much since she first started to attend VIP over two years ago. My daughter use to be shy and quiet, but now she is outspoken and bright. At the daycare she has learned to spell and write her name. She is taught history and about current events in preparation for her transition to kindergarden.\r \r VIP1 , in my mind, is one of the best daycare centers around and I have recommended it to all my friends. I recommend VIP1 Day Care Center to all the parents because it is a very good Center. I found VIP1 Eight years ago for my son. Of course"" at the beginning you don't know or you have doubts about the center, however everything went well. My son learned English in no time. He graduated from VIP at the age of 5. Everybody, from the lunch lady to the director knew my son and till this day they recognize my son. \r \r All kids get sick especially after been entroduced to a new environment. VIP have shown me that they do their best to keep clean and desinfected. That is why, once again I have chosen VIP for my daughter, who's now four. She started when she was 3 and ""yes"" she got sick at the beginning but then she got better and now she hardly gets sick. My opinion is that when you see something that you don't like you say something. There is no such thing as perfection. My daughter has been going to VIP2 for the past 4 years. In the beginning , like most moms I was so afraid of sending my child to a day care, but I had no choice.So after looking at a few places, a few people had recommended that I send her to VIP2. All had wonderful expericences with the day care and staff so I felt a little more confident in sending her, especially since it was through word of mouth. I was impressed with their very clean and very safe enviorment. They were worth every penny! The 1st day, my child was nervous and reluctant to enter the doors as alot of children are at 2 years old, but the staff was warm and caring. She attended the daycare 3 days a week and on the days that she didnt go she would question when was the next time she could go? She looked forward to each day which gave me confidence & peace of mind! Aside from all of that, she has learned so much. Alphabet and writing her name at the age of 2! Reading by 4! I know alot had to do with my daughter and her ability to learn, however VIP2 played a very prominent & important role in her education.They have given her a wonderful educational start. I felt that the staff as well as the director were very open to any questions and/or concerns & i had so many in the beginning! They handled each of my concerns thoughly and professionally. I would, as most concerned parents might, ask her about her day, and she always had good things to say,how they kept her busy and how much fun her teachers were.I asked her about their form of dicipline if she acted up, she never had anything more than a ""time out"" to report . \r We do not live in queens anymore, however will be sending our second child to VIP2. After extensive research for a daycare and visiting VIP I, we decided to enter our daughter. At first I was worried about her almost everyday since I never take her out from our comfort zone which is home and never have any outside family member take care of her, it was hard on both of us. My daughter attended VIP I for five full days a week, after the first two weeks my daughter loved it she has been there for over a year now. She learns a lot, she knows her letters, numbers (in English and Spanish), she is three years old when she first joint VIP I and already knows how to write and spell her name. Now she is learning how to read and spell. VIP I is a wonderful center that provided a good learning environment and the staff has always been good to my daughter, myself, and my husband. I was overwhelmed with the thought of having to put my 2 year old in day care full time 5 days a week, but the reality was we had to. I did extensive research before even visiting places. we just moved back to queens from Long Island and quite frankly I was nervous about the schools in the area. For about 3 months we looked and visited many day care centers and just driving down Crossbay blvd one day we saw VIP II. I made an appointment for a visit and immediately felt a bit at ease. The environment was very welcoming as were the staff. After two visits we were sold and decided to send our son to VIP II. It was the best decision we could have ever made. The staff are so loving. They treat each kid as part of a big family. My son loved the atmosphere and the teachers. They proivde a great learning environment and foster indepence in the children as well. My son learned a great deal there and I would highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a safe, warm, clean learning environment for their child. I never cried when I had to leave my son there for the first day, but we cried when it was his last day! I wish there were teachers and staff like those at VIP everywhere! Enrolling my daughter in daycare at the age of 2 was one of the hardest things I had to do. I was overwhelmed with the thought of other people ""raising"" her. For three full days a week my daughter attennded VIP II and after the first two weeks{ which were hard on both of us) my daughter loved it, and I trusted this staff with the most important thing in my life. My daughter has been there for over a year now going three full days a week. Academically and socially she has grown tremendously and her love for her teachers is evident. She knows her letters, numbers, and all the children's songs you can think of. VIP II is a wonderful center and the staff has always been great to my daughter, myself, and my husband. They also have a summer program available that is great. I'd reccommend this center to everyone. Pros: Academically rewarding more

3 years ago I walked into VIP 2 without appointment to see the school.Everyone was really nice they gave me a tour inside.The place was really clean the children were sitting nicly at the tables .I left with the great feeling and a few days later enrolled my daughter.She spent 3 years there she loved it.She learned so much that now in kindergarten is going really easy for her.They also have a great summer program which is important for working parents.I wish they would take in children younger than 2 years old.I wolud defenatly recommend this school.Great staff.Cons.hard to park more

I currently have a 3 yr. old in VIP II and my 4 yr. old just left there to enter into Kindergarten. I have nothing but great things to say about this Daycare/School. I say school because not only are the staff watching our childern but they are teaching them as well. In my experience the staff/teachers are very loving and very nurturing as well as excellent teachers. My 4 yr. has come out of of VIP II with such a great head start for Kindergarten. And my 3 yr. old is on the same path to learning. In the beginning like most parents I felt guilty to send my child to daycare but I have no regrets because it has helped both of my children not only education wise but socially as well. I highly recommend VIP II! more
