Village Repair is aces in my book 5/6/2010

I have lived here for 4 years now and have had several sveral services performed at Village Repair. I have found them to be friendly, honest, timely and fair priced. Unlike the experience I have had in other locations- I would unreservedly recommend Village Repair. more

I got my car back in worse condition, than I brought it in! 11/10/2009

I got my car back in worse condition than I brought it in! A Terrible, Terrible Place?! They kept it for over 4 days, when all I was looking for was an estimate. I already knew what was wrong with the car, I told them where and what the problem was. I brought it in with tail-lights not working, when I got it back The spedometer odometer and radio weren't working either. They wanted to charge me almost $300! and they didn't even give me an estimate! They also refused to give me my spare key back! Consumer BEWARE!! more

TIRES 2/9/2009

I had to have a flat repaired in town. They tried to sell me all four tires telling me they were getting down in tread. I reneged, went to my regular service tech for an oil change and asked them. He had me on those same tires another 10 months. Hmmm.\r \r The triple A contract with this garage however rates well as they are prompt and pleasant to deal with. more

I got ripped off 10/17/2008

I wouldn't have normally gone to village repair but I had a coupon for $10 off and my wife's car needed an oil change. Boy was that an expensive mistake. To my own discredit- I should have asked how much they charge but I smoothly took out a $20 and the $10 coupon thinking $30 should surely cover it-not at Village Repair! I was shocked to see the total: $46.95 for an OIL CHANGE! I asked if there was a surcharge on this oil, surely this was a mistake but was reassured, this is their standard price to change oil. (This was for a standard sized car, no additional oil or fancy synthetic) I had to pull out the credit card on this one. I am going back to my $26 oil changes at Walmart in Leicester. Feeling defeated, I left with my receipt in hand and my wallet lighter. more
