I wouldn't have normally gone to village repair but I had a coupon for $10 off and my wife's car needed an oil change. Boy was that an expensive mistake. To my own discredit- I should have asked how much they charge but I smoothly took out a $20 and the $10 coupon thinking $30 should surely cover it-not at Village Repair! I was shocked to see the total: $46.95 for an OIL CHANGE! I asked if there was a surcharge on this oil, surely this was a mistake but was reassured, this is their standard price to change oil. (This was for a standard sized car, no additional oil or fancy synthetic) I had to pull out the credit card on this one. I am going back to my $26 oil changes at Walmart in Leicester. Feeling defeated, I left with my receipt in hand and my wallet lighter.
