Villa Rose Pizza & Grocery

I drove by the place a few times and never went in. A few days ago I saw their advertisment on this site and said what the heck lets try it. I took my family and this is sure to be a place we come to a lot more often. The prices were very fair, pizza was outstanding and the service was quick. We will be going back soon thats for sure! more

Amazing, authentic Chicago-style thin crust pizza!! I was born and raised in Chicago until a few years ago and was so happy to find this place. The pizza here reminds me of Barnabys and I love it! If this place existed in Chicago it would have a devoted following, that's how good it is!!! more

Tried this place for the first time after seeing ad on this website and man am I happy I did. Pizza was delicious, service was quick, very homey atmosphere. Bringing my family back here soon! more

If you like Chicago style pizza, you have to go to Villa Rose!\r I've been going to Villa Rose for 15 years and I have never had a bad meal. Try their Greek salad and their pepperoni pizza. Ask for some Greek dressing on the side and drizzle it on your pizza.......YUM!\r The waitresses are the same from when I started going 15 years ago and they are very friendly and as loyal as their patrons. \r PS - at times they have homed rice pudding that is out of this world! ENJOY!!!!!! more

This restaurant is timeless has been in business since 1957. This pizza is a true American original Chicago thin crust . This is quality not quantity it can take some time to get a pie but when it comes nothing can compare. Service was great. Perfect balance of crust cheese and topping's. more

My dad would bring me here on Sunday and it was a real treat. \r \r This is a very small restaurant that is big on charm. There are no gimmicks, there are no frills. You are sitting in a restaurant filled with the aroma of fresh baked thin crust pizza. This isnt' your ordinary chain restaurant thin crust pizza, but a pizza that is covered in topping and so full of flavor that it has kept me coming back for decades.\r \r I would recommend a pizza, but i will be honest, they are all spectacular! When my sister came into town, I took her here back in July because she misses it just as much as I do.\r \r Give Villa Rose a chance. Been going to Villa Rose for 30 years. If any one can find a better pizza, please let me know! This place is what I call a true pizzaria. The ovens are completely separate from the kitchen, which seems strange yet some how makes sense. Staff and cooks are very friendly, and seem dedicated to their craft. But the real star of the show is the super thin crust Chicago style pizza. Never have I tasted a fresher, crunchier, authentic homage to Chi-town. Wafer thin crust gives way to a thin layer of freshly prepared sauce. Topped with some of the finest sausage, pepperoni, peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc. Or try James' favorite... fresh garlic, fresh tomatoes and sauce... WOW! You wont find any thing fancy here. One small TV, about 10 bar stools, and enough seating for about 40. Salads are prepared fresh right when you order, and the soups are prepared daily. Other pasta dishes are available but... it's all about the pizza. A few selections of draft beer are available as are some bottles(even a Greek beer I am not familiar with). If you want to experience true thin crust, fresh pizza, Villa Rose IS the place for it. more

We work at Value Tire & Alignment and order quite a lot from here. The food is always ready, hot, and amazing every time. We need to keep our guys happy and full and this is where to it. The best thin crust Pizza I've ever had. The crust is crispy, delicious and it's not greasy. They call it Chicago style Pizza, but I always that was that really thick, deep dish style pizza, but they say that depends on what side of town you're on. I don't care what they call it, I just like it. more

Outstanding pizza, especially for displaced Chicagoans. Crisp, tangy, and they cut it in squares!! Even better than most thin crust pizza joints back in Chicago. You will never experience anything as tasty as the Villa Rose Special. I have traveled all over the world and U.S., this is the best pizza I have ever tasted bar none. The establishment is 50 years old, so you know they have been doing something right to stay in business that long. The service is great and the toppings are fresh.
