THE NEW VILLA MARCELLO\r \r My niece had my Sis Surprise 50th here March 16th and Everyone had a great time.\r \r I was Skeptical about this place but had already called after reading all the neg/Old reviews when the Owner Fozan called me back, I shared my concerns/ he said he's the New Owner, took it over last november, fully renovated it/ told me to come check it out. So I went, met with Mary and liked what I saw, the place is reformed and looks great. Fozan was in contact with me and we agreed on a package deal and he stayed in touch with me after paid in full, through all the planning. \r \r Food, A-OK All Tasty no complains from anyone! well as long as I say its good, its good, I tasted everything, I'm a food snob ;)\r Music and Service was Good\r \r So 3stars because of Just two kinks! Was Disappointed with, drinks issue which caused me some unease that could have been avoided! And all the food/ coffee was put away after the guest ate which shouldn't be cause people always wanna pik not to mention I didn't eat since I wasn't feeling well and when the party is over you want Fooood/Coffee, we always eat after drinking/dancing the nite away! from bar to diner in the am.\r \r Anyway I'm Still a Fan of Villa Marcello and would book my events there cause Fozan is cool, willing to accomodate and the Food was Good which is The Big Plus for me when catering and you don't know what the food will taste like. \r \r So I Highly Recommend Villa Marcello more

I have no clue why these people are saying such bad things about this catering hall. Ive had not one, but many good experiences at this place. Ive tried their italian, soul and Caribbean food. It was all delightful, i felt like their chefs really knew what they were doing. Besides that, all of the employees that i ran in to are always trying their best to see to it that you have a great time. more

This place is DISGUSTING. My fiance's mom was going to book this place for us as a surprise for our wedding reception in December 2012. We finally saw the place this past Saturday and was appalled. The bathroom is dirty..this woman's ""office"" is located in the BASEMENT and is just as dirty as the rest of the place. Then we go into the ""ballroom"" that's when my fianc? lost his mind. To make a long story short, we basically told her that this is not going to work and would be an embarrassment to us to invite our guests to such a disgusting place. She tried everything in her power to try to get us to keep the booking, even telling us that she has decorations in a BOX in her BASEMENT that she could use to create our vision. A box in your basement? Really? Classy. Then when we told her to just keep the deposit, she started threatening to collect the balance for an event that didn't happen trying to dispute what it clearly states on the contract. ""In the event that payments are not paid, this will automatically cancel this contract"". Selina is a money hungry, scam artist. She is trying to charge over 4,000 for a place that looks like it is worth a hundred bucks, if that much. If you are looking for a classy place at a reasonable rate, go to Villa Russo, located in South Richmond Hill, NY,where we ended up booking. That place is FAB-U-LOUS! If you want dirty, ghetto, visually horrifying, go to Villa Marcello. Selina you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to bribe people into booking such a low class piece of crap. BOOOOOO! more

I had a party here recently. Catering Hall is nice for the price. Food is good, my DJ was great, hall is wheel chair accessible this is a plus. Despite the owner not being very good at following up after the final deposit is made her staff is very professional. I would recommend this place. more

I would love anyone who has had a bad experience with this catering hall to email me back at bleedingeyezzz@aol.com. I previously had an affair at this location as well and was scammed. The owner and staff are rude and money hungry. I would love for us all to stand together and get what we deserve. We all work hard for our money and it is not fair for someone to rip us off. All the good comments are def written by Selina and her staff because I know alot of other customers who has had horrible edxperience there. more

I recently had my parents 40th Anniversary party here. It turned out absolutely wonderful. It was such a big moment for them both and Im happy with the way everything was done. From start to finish everyone was great and treated me with respect. I was very demanding and they had all the patienc in the world for me. I am very thankful to the banguet manager selina and he sister nina for making everything perfect. I hope to be throwing my parents next big anniversary party here more

I had my wedding reception at Villa Marcello and also the wedding ceremony. I could not have been any more pleased with how my day turned out. My wife had the time of her life and felt that everything was perfect. I would like to thank the owner and her staff for creating such a masterpiece. Everything was done exactly to my wife's liking so ofcourse I was happy. The food was amazing and our guests had a great time. It couldn't have gone any better and I recommend it to anyone who is looking to have the perfect evening. Again, thank you so much for everything and I hope to have another memorable day at Villa Marcello someday soon ! more

So I jus wanted to say that I just had my sweet 16 here a couple of weeks ago and it was AMAZING ! I had the best night of my life with all my friends and family there to share it with. My mom was especially happy with how everything came out because obviously she was the one paying for it. Everyone was so nice and attentive. The food was great, the lights were great, I dont even have words for how good everything went. We had a strss free night and we are defnitely appreciative. I will always remember that night =) more

I recently had my big 50th birthday party here. The food was great, the manager was great and the workers were respectful. I wouldn't have chosen to have it any other place. Im sad that some poeple are giving a bad review because it's nothing like that. In all respectfulness, people sometimes blame others for their own faults. I had no problems with villa marcello. Me, my family and my friends all had a wonderful time. I hope to have another big party here in the future, do not hesitate to have an event here. more

I just hosted a party here not too long ago for my daughters Sweet 16 and I have nothing but great things to say. First off, the owner and her workers were helpful and polite. From planning the party to the day of the party there were no issues. Everything was done just the way my daughter wanted and she could not have been happier. Even afterwards all I got from our guests were compliments. Thank you Selena so much for making that day beautiful ! and thank you to your staff also ! more

My friend hosted a surprise party for her mother here a few weeks ago and honestly it turned out amazing. From the moment we walked in things went smoothly. The place was decorated beautifully, no one was rude or nasty with us, and the workers were always helpful. We enjoyed great music and food, which was cooked to perfection. The night couldn't have gone any better. I recmmend this place 1,000 times ! more

This people do not even deserve 1 star. The second you sign a contract and give them money they will not return your calls or meet with you. They will offer you things and not keep their promises. They cancelled our party 3 days before the event because they wanted to book a slightly bigger party on the same day, then they tried to charge us more because according to them we had extra people when everyone had a seat. All the good comments here are written by them, what a coincidence that they get a bad review on 12/28/2011 and on 01/07/12 they get 7 good one. Don't do it to your self this people are NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! more

My friend and her new husband celebrated their wedding and reception at THE VILLA MARCELLO, and it could not have gone more smoothly or taken place in a more lovely setting. This intimate restaurant allowed their approximately 70 guests to celebrate a joyous occasion in a cozy space. ' I cannot rave enough about the staff. the manager, Selina, was incredibly professional. She was so sweet and answered every one of my annoying emails promptly. on the night of our reception, everything ran so smoothly. the servers were all so polite and friendly. she made sure that everything we wanted was done right.HIGHLY RECOMENDED more

Do not think twice about having a wedding here. Selina and the entire staff were amazing from start to finish and we got tons of compliments on how nice everything was. The service was flawless, the food was really good, the room and the view were beautiful, and we truly appreciated all the extra special little touches they did for us throughout the day. This place made our wedding day perfectly beautiful and special. It was exactly what we wanted. more

Been to my niece sweet sixteen here and i loved it The staff was friendly and attentive. They even brought a round of shots over to our table for us. Everything we needed was well taken care of. I wasn't too sure weather the food was made there or ordered either way it turned out spectacular. They really went over the top in presentation. The steak that I had was done just the way I asked for it. It was tender and flavorful and the sauce over the top was so good I'd have asked for the recipe if it was appropriate! If you want the perfect sweet 16,wedding,elegant birthday's (with the price tag to match) the Villa marcello is the perfect place to make sure that everyone remembers your special day! more

I've been here twice for weddings and each one was more beautiful than the other. This place is magnificent! The rooms are large and very spacious, the staff were very attentive and paid very close attention to detail...and the FOOD, it's amazing!!! Most of the time when you go to weddings and such; you'll get your normal run of the mill choices or steak, chicken, or fish...well you get that here as well...but in so much more of a gourmet way it's sort of hard to put into words. If you can afford having a wedding or plan some sort of occasion here...I say do it. It will definitely leave you filled with great memories! more

I've had my sweet sixteen here last weekend and it was as ideal as i dream it would be since i was just a baby girl ! Everything about this place from the venue to the staff to the food deserved an A+! Besides enough food to feed several struggling nations, it was all perfectly prepared. I really don't know how a feat like that is accomplished. Big kudos goes to the staff here. I think they had a contest to see how little time a used plate could spend on a table. I swear I was trying to find spots that they didn't cover, I failed in this attempt.Overall, I found the decor of the catering hall very beautiful, service was good, and the food was absolutely delicious ...VERY SATISFIED more

I had my wedding here and i spent over $8,000 for a 120 people! So not worth it! This company is ran by two sister Nina and Selena. They play good cop bad cop. Selena is the nasty one she is very money hungry. I have visited over a dozen times to make deposits and to just review what i wanted on my wedding day, i was promised so much and then once they recieve their money they turned into devils!Selena yells at her employees and even her sister! more

I just wanted to say that our wedding day was the happiest day of our lives, and you are all responsible for most of it! You had everything perfect and everyone enjoyed themselves - most of all, us!
