Video Technics

You want to avoid this shop like the plague. Not only are they bad in returning calls about the status of your repair, but also their work is shoddy and poor quality. I took a stereo receiver to have it repaired by John, the technician. He kept telling me that it would take a couple of days to clean. Well it took two weeks to get it back, and that was only when I personally went to the shop and asked what was going on and why no one was calling me to let me know the status of my unit.\r \r When I got the receiver home and hooked it up, it didn’t function. In fact, it was worst than before I dropped it off. I returned the unit and it took them another two weeks before I got it back – still not working properly. I spent a month going back and forth with these people. They wouldn’t call me, so I either had to show up at their doorstep or phone them myself. Long story short, I took the receiver to another repairman in Lake Forest and he had it properly diagnosed and repaired in a week. I took the broken parts that were supposedly removed from my receiver to the Lake Forest repairman. He told me that most of them (transistors, diodes, etc.) weren’t from my unit. The technician from Lake Forest was a little more expensive but well worth it. Stay away from Video Technics. They will cheat you.\r more

We called to have service done, said they would call back around 9 the next morning. They never called, so I called them around 1 to see what was up. Said I was to far to come out. I asked why they didn't call to tell me that, said they called the warranty people, so i called the warranty people.... warranty people said they never called. Don't waste your time, call some one else. I wasted a whole day. more

Very informative and knowledgeable about repair. Called Video technics and had service tech to my home same day. Repair took only a few hours.Pricing reseaonable more

Poor Customer Service. Did not receive timely estimate on repair. Called twice to see if estimate was done. They said they would call back in 1 hour. They did not return call for several days. Owner is very rude and unprofessional. Take your electronics somewhere else that will appreciate your business. There are a lot of other business that want and deserve your business. more
