You want to avoid this shop like the plague. Not only are they bad in returning calls about the status of your repair, but also their work is shoddy and poor quality. I took a stereo receiver to have it repaired by John, the technician. He kept telling me that it would take a couple of days to clean. Well it took two weeks to get it back, and that was only when I personally went to the shop and asked what was going on and why no one was calling me to let me know the status of my unit.\r \r When I got the receiver home and hooked it up, it didn’t function. In fact, it was worst than before I dropped it off. I returned the unit and it took them another two weeks before I got it back – still not working properly. I spent a month going back and forth with these people. They wouldn’t call me, so I either had to show up at their doorstep or phone them myself. Long story short, I took the receiver to another repairman in Lake Forest and he had it properly diagnosed and repaired in a week. I took the broken parts that were supposedly removed from my receiver to the Lake Forest repairman. He told me that most of them (transistors, diodes, etc.) weren’t from my unit. The technician from Lake Forest was a little more expensive but well worth it. Stay away from Video Technics. They will cheat you.\r
