BEST Salon EVER!! 9/1/2011

I have been going to Vici at Brookfield Square for a few years now and have to say it is the BEST salon I have ever been to! My hair is considered a bit tough to work with as it is thick and wavy; I kept going to different stylists at different salons hoping to find one who could make me look good. Three years ago I found Dalaine - she came recommended by another client who is a friend of mine. Dalaine took the time to work with me and my type of hair and I finally have a style that I am happy with!! I have never had any problems scheduling appointments. Even when I have to reschedule due to a conflict the front desk staff is always polite, professional and willing to work with me. Vici staff always go out of their way to make sure I am happy - if you are looking for the BEST salon, this is it! more

Worst!! 9/20/2010

After the front desk wouldn't help me in picking out a stylist which suits my needs, the girl who answered the phone said she didn't think it was fair to recommend someone. Really? Thats your job to make sure the clients are fixed up with the stylist who best suits there needs. I looked at the bio of each, which didn't help b/c instead of writing about training and what they excel in they write about what leisure activities they like to do and what they like to eat......go figure. I ended up picking PATRICK........ MAJOR MISTAKE!! I need some highlights just 2 levels from my natural hair color. In his consultation he told me 1 color Partial highlights would be $90 and that didn't include dry or style. If I didn't wanted to walk out of the salon with wet hair it would cost me an extra $30. Not only did he charge me $35 over the amount listed on the menu for highlights he wanted to charge me an extra $30 to finish the job. How can he check his work when he lets a client leave with wet hair? This guy is a master?? I will never go back to this salon, its a joke. more

I also have had a great experience with Tori, only to find out she is no longer with the organization. There seems to be little concern about the customer when a stylist leaves. I have no idea where I am going to go for the same quality care. If anyone out there knows where Tori went, please share the news with me. more

Great stylists , bad desk n scheduling. 9/2/2010

I have had great hair for three years from Tori and Nicole, both are really warm easy to work with people that excel at making me look great and stay comfortable. The service is not cheap , but the results are top notch. I have had several schedule issues with the desk however where they forget to schedule my appointment or enter it on a day when I was not actually scheduled. These were not handled shall we say gracefully. My only concern at this point is that both Tori and Nicole have left the salon and I have no idea who would be a good person to try. The desk has not been helpful at looking for someone with the same skills and maybe even a similar awesome personality. I am not sure what is next if anything at this salon . Amanda more

It was my first time here, and I was so happy with my service! My stylist Tori made me feel so comfortable as soon as I sat down. She discussed products and showed me how to style my hair, which I am now excited about! I will definitely come back! Pros: best haircut I ever had! more

Not good customer service 5/16/2010

I have been going to Vici Capilli for many years. I found a stylist there that has been the best stylist I have ever had. Unfortunately, 70% of the appointments I have with her get rescheduled. I complained to the assistant manager and all I get are apologies. They tell me they would be more than happy to put me with another stylist. That doesn't help me in the least. I can always schedule an appointment with another stylist, however, when you have one you like, it is a shame that you need to continually reschedule. Perfect Blonde Finally! 5/5/2010

I have been going to Vici in Brookfield since I was 15. Im blonde, and Im always looking to get the perfect blonde color with perfect color highlights. Ive had multiple stylists, designers do my hair. Ive also been to other salons, such as carenza, and hair xperience(HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!) Well everytime I go somewhere else, I always end up coming back here because they KNOW their stuff and there prices are low(depending if you get a GTS.Stylist.designer.master.or artist. I got my hair done yesterday, all over real light blonde color, with light low-lights. Dana was my stylist! She was awsome. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair, and she knew exactly what colors I wanted. She made it happen. I finally have the Blonde Hue Ive been looking for. If your blonde and looking for that perfect blonde hue. Dana is your girl!! Will definatley keep her as my stylist for a while as long as she keeps doing a great job!!! good service 3/29/2010

Perhaps because its so difficult to write a review, they tend to be negative. My daughter and I have been going to Vicis for two years and are very happy overall. I have been seeing Torrie who is now a master and have never been happier with my hair. My daughter will see anyone who has the time and her hair always looks good, and they are very accomodating with a quick bang cut when she needs one. Additionally I had an excellent wax with Soci (sp) and am going back for another. The front desk is manned by young women, but if anything, I tend to mess appointments up. In the two years we have been going, only once I was double-booked, and that was due to a mix-up I helped create. Pros: fast appointments, nice staff Cons: none so far more


An inside tip 3/28/2008

The ""front desk"" which the previous reviewer refers to is not the same group of people who answer the phones and make the appointments. Vici uses a call center. I agree the call center is unreliable and often rude, but onsite staff is 90% terrific! Pros: Nice atmosphere, skilled stylists and estheticians Cons: Call center is not up to par more

Have some great stylists, but terrible front desk. Went there for over a year. In one 6 month period,had three messed up appts. Front desk rude over the phone and in person. Best Stylist Ever! 8/13/2006

At Vici Capilli or at any salon for that matter it's not about the price or the atmosphere--it's about the stylist! The stylist will either make it or break it for me. I am very picky about my hair and have had some of the worst cuts ever from the most expensive salons, but when I called to make my first appointment at Vici Capilli Salon the front desk hooked me up with the most amazing stylist ever. If you are in the market for an excellent cut, color and style Trisha is your girl. She has been with the salon as a student and has made it to the title of Master Stylist throughout the years. Trisha has a superior personality and takes her time to make sure that her client is completely satisfied. She is trendy and knows hair well. I came to her with a short haircut mess and she made it managable and showed me how to get it the way I wanted it for everyday perfection. I never need to tell her what to do or how I want it she just knows what will work for my hair type and I let her go for it. I have never left unhappy or with an uneven strand. Trisha is not a product pusher, but if you ask her she will let you know what will work and what to stay away from. I had her do an updo recently for my wedding and I got rave reviews from everyone who saw it. Trisha needs little to no direction and can perfom miracles if you ask me. I have been going to her for three years now and if she left Vici Capilli I'd follow her anywhere to get her services. It's not about the salon people...it's all about the stylist. It just so happens that Trisha belongs to Vici Capilli Salon, but she could be employed at a Cost Cutters and I'd still give rave reviews as long as it was Trisha touching my blonde locks. I will say that Vici Capilli is a lovely, but busy salon though. There is always some juicy gossip to get in on. It isn't exactly relaxing, but it's clean, smells good and Aveda products RULE, but in all honesty I just go there for Trisha! She's a cut above the rest! Time heals all wounds 5/21/2006

I've been in the past few years and had some bad experiences (terrible, terrible colors and cuts). Finally was hooked up with Nadret (sorry if that is spelled wrong!). She is fabulous at wax and blowouts and cuts. Wow! Also, Saksi (another I'm not sure I'm spelling correctly) is great at facials and wax. I'm loving VC now! Added bonus, they worked very hard to get me booked for multiple services I needed. more

The desk help are lacking brains 8/24/2005

Purchased a gift card for someone's birthday, they never sent it. Called and talked to the manager and she re-issued the gift card which took over a week to get and they were to cancel the first card. They ended up sending both cards out (the original one took 3 weeks to get to the recipient for her birthday) and then they ended up charging my charge card twice. Everything was at my inconvience as well. Also had a bad experience with one of the stylists, very cold and impatient. Will not go back there. Cons: some bad attitudes more
