Editorial review from Citysearch 10/3/2013

My daughter has been a patient for 6 years, and we are very happy with the care received. Be careful about letting online reviews guide your decisions. Not everyone will always be happy with a provider, and folks post reviews for many different reasons.\r more

Shocked by bad reviews 4/20/2012

The two negative reviews of this practice shock me. I cannot, of course, speak to the experiences of these families who felt that the staff at the office were rude. I can attest, however, that in the five years we have been patients at Children's Dentistry, Dr. Venezie, his wife/office manager Michelle, and the hygienists have always been courteous to me and very kind and supportive of my children. We have had excellent care and compassionate service. I have had to cancel last-minute and have never had the experience described in these other reviews. I guess I would just suggest that potential patients see for themselves what kind of people run this office and remember that courtesy is nearly always a two-way street. more

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTISTRY PRACTICE!! 4/2/2012

Do not go to this practice if you are looking for an office that cares about the health and well-being of your child. We needed to cancel a filling for our 3 year old because he had severe congestion from allergies and a cold and chronic nosebleeds that will require cauterization from an ENT. The case notes from our pediatrician were not enough. They wanted to either charge us $400 for not canceling within 5 days or make us still bring him in first thing the next morning to have the dentist assess this. Having had our child sedated before for MRIs and having one canceled by Duke Hospital for congestion, we know the high risks for sedation of such a small child. This office did not care if they had a parent this upset about the possibility of their child being sedated with such terrible congestion. The staff was incredibly rude during this process and would not put the dentist on the phone for us to discuss this with. I've never dealt with supposed child focused professionals who had this much disregard for a child's health and well-being or a parent's obvious distress. more

Not Family Friendly 10/19/2011

Do not go to Children Dentistry of Apex if you are looking for a family friendly environment. For a practice that specialize in children I was very disappointed in our experience. I understand the need for the dentist to work individually with a patient but when your 1yr, 2yr 3yr old is crying obviously there is a problem if you are told flat out to not interfere & they cannot calm down your child especially mine who does not cry getting shots for example. In a last ditch effort I told Dr Venezie if he explains what he is going to do & why before he does it eases my child more
