Vca Lake Shore Animal Hospital

Our puppy developed bright red between her pads in her paws and was licking them and pretty uncomfortable. after her spaying at another hospital in Mentor OH. We were told by the vet tech that her paws had been unusually pink the day of the surgery when she clipped our puppy's nalis . No one told us that. They proceeded with the surgery and she got the redness and it got worse. It spread to her stomach and her ear. We were told that she should have the stitches removed in ten days. We set the appointment and then the DVM who did the surgery told us that no vet would be present when they took out the stiches the following Staurday, He had to go to a CE and his other vet was too busy to see our little puppy. A vet tech would remove the sutures. We took exception to the fact that no vet would be looking at the surgical site to be sure that the sutures could be removed and when we tried to set up an appitment with the vet, we were told that the staff were not to set up any further a more

I am in a dog service business and have many dogs myself. After more than 20 years in this area, I have concluded that Dr. Ting is one of the smartest and most talented of the veterinarians in northeast Ohio. She is also very conservative and will not spend your money unnecessarily or unwisely. Her staff is also top notch. Always nothing but pleasant and very knowledgeable. \r \r There have been more than several occasions when Dr. Ting correctly diagnosed obscure malfunctions with my dogs, and then helped me make the correct decisions for them when I was in panic mode. I trust her completely. more

Dr. Ting is a very hardworking and caring vet. She and her staff have always done a wonderful job taking care of our cat. They have been professional, courteous and accommodating on every visit. I recommend them. more

We have been taking our animals to Dr. Ting since I can remember! The staff is always over the top notch nice! There is a whole lot of great things to say about Dr. Ting. She won't hesitate to shows love to my Irish Setter inside or outside of the office! And she always has an encouraging word for us to keep moving ahead in our adventures! I have been going to Lakeshore Animal Hospital for at least 30 years. I have always taken my cats to Dr. Ting and I could not be more pleased. She is always very conservative with her treatments and did not hesitate to refer me to a specialist when my cat had an illness that was not in her area of expertise. I have had to put two of my cats down due to illness and the staff was unbelievable both times. I love the girls behind the desk and I take my cat up there just to say hello to them. I highly recommend Lakeshore Animal Hospital to anyone that will listen. more

We took our cat to Lake Shore Animal Hospital to be spayed and declawed. Right off the bat, I got a strange vibe from the receptionist. She seemed rude and made the visit a bit awkward. We were told that it would be over $400.00 and that she would have to stay for two nights. After the first night we tried to call and couldn't get a hold of anybody. The first time we tried calling we thought maybe they were out to lunch, however after 2:30 we figured that there was no reason not to pick up. We called about 5 times and still can't get through. I no longer feel that it was a good decision to send my cat to Lake Shore Animal Hospital. The situation is making me very anxious.\r \r After all of this however, I do have to say that the doctor was very nice. She seemed very compassionate. Although, I still would not recommend this vet to anyone. more

We have not had the best experiences with Lakeshore Animal Hospital. There have been times when they were less than compassionate with our dog, as well as really not seeming to have her best interest at heart. One one visit, they implanted a microchip into her shoulder blades which was very painful for her instead of just waiting a month or two until she was fixed to do it while she was under anesthesia. For a long time after that she would not let us touch her shoulder blades or apply her Frontline. She also had some gastrointestinal issues for a short time and the doctor told us she had a food allergy and would have to switch to (their) special food. We followed up with our breeder and resolved this problem quickly (she still eats the same food she always has). We would really like to feel that we can trust our vet with our pet's health and well being, and we do not feel this way about Lakeshore Animal Hospital. more

We have been going to Lakeshore Animal Hospital for many years and even continued with them when we moved 40 minutes away! There is a local vet down the street from us but we can't imagine going anywhere else. They saved the life of our puppy 4 years ago, after we bought him from a pet store and he was immediately ill.We'll never go anywhere else. J & T more

I have been taking my pets to this animal hospital for over 20 years. I called to see if I could get a refill on my pets meds which I just see the doc in the last 2 months. I was told that the doc would have to see my pet. I told them I didnt have the 40 dollars for the walk in fee, you would think they would let me waiver that one fee but NO the receptionist didnt care and said there was nothing they could do. That was just plain ignorant. I am telling friends of mine to not bring their pets there and go somewhere else where the doctors and workers are more compassionate for the owners especially in todays economy more

My dog had dental work done today, and all went well. The doctor was compassionate, thorough, and they have very reasonable prices. This is my third time here, I am completely satisfied, and I plan on returning, (changing from my current veterinarian, who I might add is very expensive!) I highly recommend Lakeshore Animal Hospital. more
