Like others have said before, going through infertility is a very stressful time. I was looking forward to our first visit with Texas Fertility to help ease this stress that my wife and I were going through. Unfortunately, we were treated as a number only, pushed in and out as quickly as possible. \r

Our doctor was Dr. Silverberg. We saw him several times, and we had the same experience on each visit. He did a couple checks on my wife, prescribed Chlomid, and sent us on our way. Of course we had lots of questions for him, like why is this happening, what can we do different, and he always seemed like it was a burden to answer them. Knowledge-wise, he is obviously the best and knows his stuff, but he did not make us feel comfortable and did not console us at all. I was always very intimitated to ask him questions and felt like we were wasting his time if we stayed longer than 5 minutes.\r

The last straw we had was when we were scheduled to do an IUI. My wife and I had waited a long time for this moment, and after several months of treatment, her body was finally ready. We arrived and one nurse gave us a sample cup with instructions on how to fill it. We did, or I did, and we then went back for the IUI. We dropped off the sample and waited several minutes, but we were never called back. After waiting impatiently, we asked the nurse what the holdup was and were told we were not scheduled for the IUI today, but we could come back next month for the IUI. Were they serious? Did they make us go through all this, and now crush our hopes after they made a scheduling mistake? Why did they give us the sample cup in the first place?\r

We took my sample and never looked back. We saw Dr. Youngkin at austinfertilityclinic one time and got pregnant immediately. Perhaps it was Dr. Youngkin's warm, compassionate atmosphere, or perhaps it was the relief that we did not have to go back to Texas Fertility Clinic or Dr. Silverberg again. \r

I believe you can get positive results from \r
Texas Fertility Clinic. And if you go in expecting just the facts and not the best human experience, then they are the best. But for my wife and myself, we needed to be treated with a little more compassion and hand holding.\r

Pros: what other choice is there in Austin?
Cons: Patient treatment is very poor
