Van's Bakery

I just moved to this area and came across the positive reviews of Vans on the web and decided to try them out. They have rectangular slices of almost every flavor of cake you could want displayed in a long case. they also have several sizes of round cakes and ice cream cakes. I was told that the ice cream cakes have a layer of cake in them, no crunchies (like Carvel) or fudge (like DQ). There is also a vast selection of bulk dried fruit and candies. Everything is labeled in Vietnamese so if you are not familiar with the language you'll have to guess at what's in the bins. I bought four slices of cake and they were average at best. Two words; light and bland. The icing and cake is the same on all varieties. Only the flavorings and colors are changed. The cake was extremely light, spongy and basically tasteless. The icing was the consistency of cool whip. The pineapple filling in one of the slices was the low-grade cornstarchy type that is typical in low-end pastries. I was pretty disappointed because everything looked so inviting in the case. Oh well, I will be back for an ice cream cake and to try my luck at the bulk candy. more

Van Bakery is a cool place to get all kinds of different snacks and foods from. The place has great pastries that should fulfill whatever you're looking for. The place also sells great dried fruit that you can take for a snack later, and it's pretty healthy, so you should stock up. more

Van Bakery probably is the biggest and well known bakery in the Westminster area. They have practically everything to pick from. My favorite item that I buy there is got to be the dry fruit and beef jerky. They always have those two items in stock and every time I go there, those are the two items I would pick. They also have a great deal of cake to pick from. They will even write the name or occasion for it. more

Van Bakery is probably the only bakery that does not carry bread. But it ok, because their store is packed with all sort of goodies. I love their muffins the most. They make it look normal and plain but once you bite it, the taste will hit you and make you want more. That what happen to me the first time I step in Van bakery for some Moon Cake. more

Van Bakery sells allots of goodies. They specialize in cake, muffins, and dry fruit. I always go here for their cake for a birthday party cake. I loved their French bread and French cake. Their French cake always had drawn my attention. Van Bakery is the place I would go for a birthday cake or any other cake. more

I love the sweet desserts that they offer there! Love their drinks and superior cakes! They are cheap but amazing!! They are the best bakery in town!! P.S they also do wedding cakes! They also have dry stuff like preservatives and all types of candy. They offer the best service at a reasonable price. You must try this place! more

During my last birthday, my friends join together and brought me a cake from Van Bakery. The cake was so good that I went back a week later and got another one. It took me 20mins to check out all the style and size. They offer plenty of choose to pick from. For around $20, you can buy a big cake for a birthday or any event. more

Their price are normal, but they just got more selection to pick from. They also got plenty of cake to choose from. I always buy moon cake from them every moon festival. Van Bakery is a great bakery. They are located in the middle of a crowd Vietnamese favorite place. They sell from dry fruits to all sorts of cakes. Whenever I walk by Van Bakery, the smells always draw me in. Each visit, I spent at least $10. Their display are awesome, so you should dress by and check it out. more
