Valley Equine Veterinary Svc

I've been a loyal and satisfied client of Dr. Mcmillen for over 13 years now. He's done everything from lameness evaluations to dentals, to breeding my mares and foal exams, in-field castrations, colic treatments and emergency visits to our home. He's an amazing doctor and he's always kind and compassionate, going above and beyond what I would ever expect. He's truly a dedicated and caring individual who loves not only the animals he's treating, but the client too. And, the staff in the office is soooo helpful!! I cannot express enough how very, very grateful for all the times I've called in for advice or help, and Lorie is always patient, kind and compassionate with me. She has tons of experience with horses and is invaluable to Dr. McMillen. I give them 5 stars for sure!!! more

I just wasn't overly impressed by this veterinary facility. It's location is very very difficult to find and access. Parking is ok at best. When I called to make an appt. I was put on hold longer than I actually got to talk to someone. I felt they were just too busy for one person to handle, which made me as a customer feel that they were too busy to take care of me or my animals. My appt was made, not a long wait, but there was almost no follow up at all. I called and left messages, but was told they were really busy and didn't know how much the surgery(s) would cost and they'd get back to me. After more un-returned messages I finally just called another vet to come out and we started over. I wouldn't have been so upset except that they fact that my animal remained sick and in pain wit home at home trying to do what I could while they were too busy to return my calls. Definitely did not feel like I was a priority at all. Have many other vets that I would recommend before this one... going back here would be a last resort at best. more
