Oceanside, CA 1.0 star rating 10/29/2011 I wish I could give 0 stars. My wife brought her ring (brand new) in to be resized and was told "" I think I can do it"". Not the answer she was looking for from a ""Jeweler"" but she went through with it anyway. The ring was picked up the following day and it looked like the guy let a 4 year old have at it with a grinding wheel, vice grips and a blow torch. I've seen better metal work wrapped around a Hershey's Kiss. There was a great deal of pitting where the ring was soldered and quite a bit of the original white gold was removed. The removal of the material would make sense if she were needing to go up a size. However, she was sizing it down... To top it all off the ring has multiple dents around the edges where it appears to have been held (unprotected) with a vice and there are small scratches ALL over. I took the ring to another Jewelry store today and they couldn't believe that the ring was given back to us in the condition it was in. I am planning on standing outside of this store and distributing flyers about the miserable experience. Terrible customer service and even worse- they are totally content with destroying your valuables and making you pay for it. I can't believe they are still in business. more

Well, I should have listened to the previous reviews... I brought a nice watch that has never been worn into the store for a battery replacement. I gave specific instructions not to scratch the watch. I did get the watch back in a timely fashion but...\r there were scratches on the surface, the sides, and the back. I know for a fact that there were none when I brought it into the store. I am extremely disappointed to say the least. The repairman was nice and cordial but a "hack" and refused to accept responsibility for the damage. My advice is to take it to a "real" store and get it done right. more

Do not use this shop! I brought my great grandmother's engagement ring here for a new band. It was returned with the new band welded on crooked! The welds were sloppy and even filled in some of the filigree. The original setting was misshaped after smoothing the welds. When I told them that this was unacceptable, they actually said, "Well, you didn't say you wanted it to be perfect!". Horrible work, horrible service - very rude. Take your business elsewhere!\r P.S. - The only reason this shop gets any sort of a star rating in this review is because they won't let you post without one! more

This store is one very few can compare too. The workers are friendly, the prices are great, but the best thing about the store is that they can repair most jewelry while you wait specially watch repairs. They changed my band and battery within 5 minutes. My ring was sized within 30 minutes too. I hardly got a chace to really look around when they told me it was ready. Really one of the quicker jewelry repairs I've ever had. more

Just like it name, Valdivia Jewelry Repair While You Wait, they will repair your jewelry or change your battery while you wait. It took a less than five minutes. Their watches price is expensive but their watch repair and watch repair is really good. I would recommend anyone who need their battery change to drop by Valdivia Jewelry Repair. more

This store is pretty much your basic jewelry store that specializes in rings, wedding bands, loose diamonds, batteries, and watch bands. They also do jewelry repairs and watch repairs. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a very nice store to shop in. more
