My new little rescue dog Mika had a fatty tumor on her leg. I took her to see Dr. Jeff Eliot at VCA Marina. Instead of just saying of let's keep an eye on it, he immediately did a fine needle aspiration. Unfortunately it turned out to be malignant. He was very compassionate, and Dr. Stephen Thatcher did her surgery and did a wonderful job. She has clean margins, he got all the cancer, and I am hopeful for the future.
I also took my dog, Lacy, to Dr. Eliot. She is afraid of strangers, particularly men. Instead of just muzzling her, he gently sat down on the floor with her, and she was putty in his hands. She loved him.
I am very grateful to VCA Marina and highly recommend them.
I haven't priced a lot of vets so don't know if they are high, low or in the middle.
PROS: Compassionate, majority of the desk employees and techs are great also
