love Dr. Coon, but the staff is the pitts. The blonde receptionist is rude. I was in for an emergency injury last June. I had primary insurance and medicare as my secondary. The claim with medicare was filed improperly three, maybe four times. I called each time, telling them that info and medicare number were wrong on the claim and each time it was refiled exactly the same way. I filed with Medicare myself trying to get it paid. Medicare stated that Urgent Care has to file the claim and if UC will call, Medicare will help them file the claim. Instead my account was turned over to a collection agency who is now threatening to ruin my credit. more

Rude condescending treatment by staff. Receptionist must really hate her job. Be prepared to get abused if you go here. more

Dr. Coon is THE BEST Doctor in Oxford! 1/26/2011

Dr. Coon has always made the time to listen to his patience. He is very caring, very smart, and professional. He works hard for the people in Oxford and the surrounding communities. I'm sorry Kl b, but I have been a patient there for the past 12 years and I have NEVER EVER seen him be rude to anyone. I don't think he has it in him to be rude. He's too kind. Perhaps you were just having a hard day. more

I'm generally pretty aware of my shortcomings. I'm certainly not without them, but being the "rudest doctor" seems way out of character. Kl B, sorry your visit with me feel short of your expectations. Unfortunately the anonymity of these kind of sites doesn't allow me to understand any of the circumstances of your visit. i only see one dr at urgent care and that is dr will dabbs to me he is the best in the world. he takes time with you and answers any questions you ask..he is wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Great Place-Just what Oxford needs! 5/1/2009

The office is very professional, personable and friendly. Yes, you usually have to wait, but I guess that's the norm when it's walk-in only. My family and I have always had the best experiences with the doctors. I've dealt with the billing department a few times and they really know their stuff. more

Urgent Care 1/22/2009

My family has used Urgent on many occasions. Yes you need to be prepared to wait, who doesn't, you have to wait on other doctors even when you have an appointment, but when your turn comes, there is no hurry, cause it is your time. People are just too rushed. We have been nothing but satisfied with each visit. Dr. Dabbs is the greatest. more

Not so nice. 2/18/2008

I have been unsuccessfully treated for a simple infection. I have been put on many different medicines, but none have seemed to work. I called in to ask if I needed to see the doctor, or if there was anything else they could do for me, and was rudely spoken to by the Nurse Practitioner and hung up on by this woman. I think this was the worst moment that I have ever had with Urgent Care of Oxford, MS. Dr. Coon is nice, but that will probably be the last time I rely on the "not yet a doctor" that works there. more

Urgent Care 11/21/2007

this is a great place to have in town when you need to see a dr. after most offices have closed or on days that others offices aren't open. yes, there is usually a wait since they don't take appointments, but if you're sick, you'll stay. the doctors are extremely nice and make you feel like you're what's important to them. more

Not so urgent 9/11/2005

I had to report to urgent care for a mandatory drug test when my workplace was taken over by a new company. I showed up at 7:40 AM and sat outside for 20 minutes waiting for them to open. I was the very first person to walk in the door and was told I had to wait. There were at least 4 people who walked in after me who were taken before I was. I finally got in at 9AM. So much for arriving early! more
