I don't know where these reviews are coming from! Maybe people that couldn't get their own way, despite state laws and federal policies? People have to realize they are not the only patient, especially when a practice is as busy as Upstate Neurology. They also have to realize that there are federal and state guidelines practices have to follow ... especially a specialty practice like Neurology.
I have been dealing with Upstate Neurology Consultants on a daily basis for a few years now. I have NEVER experienced any problems what-so-ever. Whenever I need to leave a message, my call is ALWAYS returned within 24 hours (which is a guideline for most offices by-the-way). If I ever have a question, the receptionist is always willing to help, or take a message for a nurse to call me back - which ALWAYS happens.
The few times I volunteered to drop radiology reports off to the office, I was always greeted with a smile and asked how I was doing, and the office staff didn't even know me. I even witnessed the receptionist assist someone in a wheelchair to her car.
The last thing I have to mention is the fact that the waiting room was always full - and EVERY patient had a smile on their face because the office staff was doing their best to make them comfortable.
Pros: Excellent staff, great communication, caring doctors
Cons: VERY busy practice, but staff is excellent
