I LOVE Unruli! I received a Keratin Treament by Uli. My hair needed all the help it could get and boy does it shine now! And it's so much healthier looking and easy to manage! Plus Uli gave me the best haircut. He spent time on my hair and knew the latest hair styling techniques! I am super impressed. I love the atmosphere. It's very relaxing and calm. I can also recommend the Air Control hairspray! It's awesome! I have been looking for a salon and stylist for a long time and at last I have found what I have been looking for! more

OMG, the Brazilian Blowout is the most amazing hair treatment. It's almost too good to be true. I recommend this to anyone who has major frizz and damaged hair. So listen up ladies... Prior to the BB, my natural hair was pretty much a full-time frizz festival. I had to blowdry (major frizz), then flat-iron, and sometimes use the curling iron. This lengthy process sucked up way too much of my personal time, not to mention adding more damage to my already damaged hair. Believe me when I say that the BB was worth every cent because now it only takes me 10 minutes to do my hair. Or I can just let it dry naturally, and it's frizz free. Seriously, I never thought that this was possible. I always envied girls with naturally silky and frizz-free hair. It's amazing that I have that now, and my hair feels SO healthy. Sometimes I feel like I'm wearing a wig...cause I'm like, this doesn't feel like my hair!!!! Uli is amazing. He also gave me the best haircut I've ever had in my life. And Frasier is amazing with color. I won't go anywhere else now. :) more

I moved last year to the Franklin area and put off for as long as possible finding a salon. With my curly, frizzy, hard to color hair, I've run across many who have made mistakes. I tried coloring it myself and ended up making a bad situation worse. Thank goodness I found Unruli! Valerie fixed my color in only one session. BUT that curly, frizzy hair that I thought was a given??? Uli fixed it ALL with an AMAZING Brazilian Blowout. There is no way I would have made it through this summer in Nashville without the treatment. What would have been normally a hair nightmare turned out to be no big deal, just wash and go. My hair is soft and shiny and absolutely NO FRIZZ. I just got my second one today after 4 months. It really lasts! While, I think all the treatments the salon does are fantastic, nothing surpasses the people there who are really so caring and so much fun. I recommend this salon to everyone! more

I have been going to Unruli for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it. I go to school in Bowling Green, KY and I drive to Franklin, TN just to get a trim. The people there are so amazing and the environment is upbeat and unique. I would recommend this spa to absolutely anyone! I get so many compliments on my hair and you best bet that I hand out one of the stylists' business cards right after. I recently got a massage there while they were 40% off. Gail is absolutely amazing! She took such great care of me. I would get massages all the time and I must say that the one I had last week was the best I have had BY FAR. My whole life I have wanted long hair. Beautiful long flowing locks that reached down past the small of my back. Each year passes and I never seem to reach my goal. By no means is my hair close to being that long yet, but I can consistently and visibly see results in my hair length and hair health since I started getting my hair cut at Unruli and using the Aveda products. Since seeing Uli and the Unruli team, I have learned things about my hair that no hairdresser cared to tell me in the past. Uli, the salon owner and Godfather of hair, is quite possibly the lovliest person I've met and it is to no surprise that the rest of the staff follow suit. When any of my friends move to town or tell me that they are looking for a new hairdresser, I send them straight to Unruli, where I am more than confident that they will experience a royal treatment, nothing short of the red carpet. With great prices and amazing products, mixed with an incredibly warm atmosphere and lovely people, I am positive they will walk out completely satisfied and excited to come back again. more

I've been to the higher end salons in the area, but this is where I stopped looking for the perfect place. Unruli has a great vibe and superior service. The aveda tea is always available (complimentary), and If you are unsure of trying a new stylist, go to Uli first--He's the incredibly talented owner. I've never had a better haircut in my life! When you get quality like this, you can go a lot longer in between trims. I always get 2-3 months out of a cut from here (read--money in my pocket!). I've never seen so many techniques to cut hair, but it sure pays off in the finished product! Give it a try...you'll be happy you did :) more

I am new to the area so I was very nervous about selecting a new salon. I found Unruli on the Aveda website and called to make an appointment. Someone spoke to me on the phone in great detail and eased my anxietyand once I got there all anxiety was gone. The entire staff is amazing, reception, massage therapist, stylist, everyone! If you are looking for celebrity treatment at an affordable price, go to unruli. I have been several times now for different beauty treatments and will never go anywhere else. I can personally recommend the Brazilian blowout, hair cut, color, and a relaxing massage. I will be trying other treatments in the future. I have always wondered about the salon on 3rd Ave across from Shuff’s music store, but I hadn’t ventured on over. However, that all changed when I brought my teenage son to Unruli. I wish I had thought to try it sooner! I was curious to see both the salon, and how their new talent Kaylahn would handle his not-so-easy head of hair. We received a grand tour and everyone was very nice and made us feel welcomed. The owner Uli was wonderful, and Unruli outclasses its competition in all areas, but especially in ambiance. We have been all over Franklin for years searching for a stylist who can create a cool individualized look on a teen without it being a “cookie cutter” style. Kaylahn gave my son a keratin treatment, followed by a really cool cut that looks like it was styled just for him. Two weeks and a kayaking trip later, his hair still looks awesome. I can now report that a great stylist can hold her own against the ravages of nature and the Outer Banks! Our search is over and we couldn’t be happier! I am always pleased with my haircut by Uli at Unruli. I am especially pleased that my medium short cut looks great when I leave the salon and still looks good six weeks later. He has gotten to know me and so each cut is slightly different and I like the variety. He kept my hair long for a while and when I wanted a change, he complied and it turned out better than I had hoped. My hair has always been hard to color and Val has found a formula that works consistently and it doesn't turn brassy in the sun..even at the beach. Now that she determined the formula, I know others would get the same results when she is out for her baby. Uli just put a kerratin treatment on my hair and it looks very smooth, shiny and healthy, as well as more finished. I can feel stylish and keep cost down with less frequent cuts. Uli has given me the best haircuts ever. He asks questions but more importantly he listens. He suggested a Brazilian Blowout. Best idea yet. I have a new head of hair. I got it done in April, and there still is no frizz. I live in Kentucky and this June was one of the hottest and most humid on record and still no frizz. Caring staff. I am ecstatic to write something about this place - ever since I found it one month ago I've been back 3 times!! I was soooo happy after my first hair appointment at Unruli. I was expecting another half-attempt at a good hair salon but finally I found Unruli and it's seriously the real deal excellent hair salon. To me, a half-attempt at a good hair salon has staff that ask you what you're looking for and then provide you with the minimum so you don't leave crying and to make room for the next customer; it's also one that is not detail-oriented in the maintenance of their facility. I have to say Unruli truly impressed me as people who are in this business for the passion of it because they are damn good at what they do. Lauren cut my hair and it was the first time I left totally stoked - and I have long hair, every other stylist has wanted to layer it, etc, and she had the experience and skill to grasp what I was looking for and deliver. Love you Lauren!!! Secondly, their facility is a chic salon-HOME, not a facility. I immediately felt comfortable and literally at home the entire time I was there. It's so clean and well-decorated. I knew I was going to come back. And I did, for their complimentary bang maintenance cut, eyebrow waxing, and a massage and facial. Speaking of massage and facial, their new masseuse and facial expert is phenomenal. I highly recommend her! She was so nice, skilled, and relaxing. We moved to Nashville about a year ago and I had really trouble finding a good new salon. A friend of mine recommended Unruli and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I`ve never been to a better salon. The staff is so unbelievable friendly. They are absolute experts and do exactly what you ask for. I get my hair cut from Lauren. She is one of the nicest girls on earth and ALWAYS doing an awesome job with my hair. Frazier does my color and seriously I`ve never had better color before. What I like the most about him he does exactly what you want but is also trying to experiment new things with your hair if you want to. He is a Genius when it comes to color. I LOVE LOVE the Aveda colors. It still looks so fresh and shiny after weeks. And I love all the Aveda products Frazier recommended to me. My hair never felt better and healthier. If you like your hair as much as I do, you have to go and check out Unruli. Ask for Lauren and Frazier and I promise you won´t be disappointed. more

i absolutely love going to unruli. you walk in the door and immediately feel relaxed. it is a beautiful building and there is always great music! the staff pay great attention to detail- taking extra time to massage your scalp during the shampoo and even your hands. i have been getting my hair cut there for years. today, i got the brazillian blowout. what an amazing experience. i am so thankful for my shiny and smooth hair!! go and experience this wonderful place! If you have hair then you MUST go to Unruli! This is hands down the happiest I have ever been with my hair in my 29 years of life. Lets start with the Fabulous Brazilian Blowout...one of the best decisions I have ever made! I've dealt with the the misery of my frizzy curls, that no matter how hard I try always look like a bad 80's perm, for as long as I can remember. I've spent hours blow drying and flat ironing and then pulling back into a bun...forget the pool or the beach, I never could pull off that swim suit model look. Now I have wash and go hair thanks to Uli...I get compliments daily and it only took me 5 minutes to fix. Ive been to the beach, the pool, camping and hiking and my hair has never looked better. Each treatment has lasted 4-5 months and I swear I will never give this up!!! Second, Frazier is a Genius! This color guru is inventive, thorough and will do exactly what you ask. I doubted his abilities very much due to my stubborn gray roots. He took the challenge and conducted what looked like a science experiment on my head...and to my great surprise it worked! I attended a party for a friend moving away and met her neighbor who had a Brazilian blowout. Her hair was so beautiful, she could have been a model in a hair commercial. I asked where she had it done and she said Unruli in Franklin. I thought "WOW" a hair salon named after my hair. Gave Unruli 3 tries; unfortunately, they struck out. Chose Valerie for the color because she's their top colorist. Paid "top colorist" prices and received beginner service at best. My highlights were patchy and didn't cover my roots. Had to pay another $130 dollars a week later to have the color finished and my roots covered. Completely unacceptable and extremely unfortunate. Pros: Great location. Cons: Horrible color and mediocre cut. more

I was tired of dealing with my big poufy hair and frizz. After seeing the brazilian blowout on two people I knew, I thought I would give it a try. I did a lot of research and Unruli seemed to be the best by far. I'm so glad I went. Uli, the owner was excellent at putting me at ease and answering all my many questions. He's extremely knowledgeable and so kind. He even made sure to squeeze in some extra time to give me a trim at my last-minute request. It's been a week now since I've had the brazilian blowout (acai fusion) and I have no regrets. I now have the soft, manageable hair I've always wanted. Thank you Uli!!! Frazier and Tara are both fantastic! My hair looks so healthy and soft after Tara's cuts, and Frazier is a true artist when he colors. Frazier has done my blonde highlights twice and both times I have walked out feeling so happy with the outcome. He is the best! And try the tea, it is fabulous! Feeling that my hair was a bit unruli, I decided after my friend had amazing results with the Brazilian Blow Out at Unruli that I should head to downtown Franklin for a consultation. After Uli, the owner, spent lots of time with me discussing my hair, the techniique and the probable results, I was ready to go for it! As I sipped my Aveda Calming Tea, Uli worked his magic. When I was done my hair made me a whole new me! I did this about a month ago and believe me when I say, I can wash and go (without drying my LONG hair), I mean it! Liberating! That would be a good word choice. I am no longer married to 30 minutes of blowing dry and flat ironing my hair. I still have great body but no frizz. I will do it again and again for sure. I got my hair cut yesterday by Uli for the first time -- he is a magician! Seriously. 5 STARS FOR UNRULI! Pros: Attention to the details! more
