I have always wondered about the salon on 3rd Ave across from Shuff’s music store, but I hadn’t ventured on over. However, that all changed when I brought my teenage son to Unruli. I wish I had thought to try it sooner! I was curious to see both the salon, and how their new talent Kaylahn would handle his not-so-easy head of hair. We received a grand tour and everyone was very nice and made us feel welcomed. The owner Uli was wonderful, and Unruli outclasses its competition in all areas, but especially in ambiance. We have been all over Franklin for years searching for a stylist who can create a cool individualized look on a teen without it being a “cookie cutter” style. Kaylahn gave my son a keratin treatment, followed by a really cool cut that looks like it was styled just for him. Two weeks and a kayaking trip later, his hair still looks awesome. I can now report that a great stylist can hold her own against the ravages of nature and the Outer Banks! Our search is over and we couldn’t be happier! Kaylahn is so sweet and Unruli exceeds all expectations.
