I've always used University Tire Inc. for my tire service. When I got in, they give me a price, which I feel like is a good price for their service. I've been to University Tire Inc. quite a few times. They stand by their work. If you go back, I'd say I've been a customer of University Tire Inc. for years. They're honest and have a quick turnover! more

Once again, when I knew I needed a professional diagnosis for my car's problem, the service desk quickly diagnosed the problem, gave me a price and told me how long it would take. It is a great feeling when you drive away and have the confidence that the problem has been fixed by people who know what they are doing, and have done a good job. Doesn't get much better than that! First visit for breaks didn't resolve the problem so Jerry Davis took it upon himself to call me and ask if there was anything he could do to resolve the issue and retain me as a customer. I was impressed that he took the time to call me and ask for a second opportunity! He and his team resolved the issue and won me back as a customer. It is never fun spending money on car maintenance but recently I needed new tires for my commute back and forth to Atlanta. Because I was looking to stay under a budget Jerry looked at my tread on my tires and said I could get by with just replacing the front two and so I choose two Uniroyal tires and his shop did a great alignment. They also fixed a wheel that had been bent by a rail road track in Atlanta at no charge. Though after a day or two I felt that the Uniroyals lacked handling and my car felt less nimble than it had. So looked online at tire reviews and called Jerry who was happy to let me exchange for a set of 4 Michelin Primacys. While they were more expensive, his price including the rebate was more competitive on them than on the Uniroyals. The Michelins are way more nimble and hold tight in rain or ice. The Michelins are some of the best all season tires, they are also some of the most expensive anywhere you buy them, but Jerry has some of the best prices on them. I just wished he had a few more brands to choose from like Yokohama which I feel like is close enough to Michelins for RockNRoll but cheaper. For now I feel safer with my Michelins driving with all the erratic drivers in Atlanta. Jerry is very concerned with customer satisfaction and is always asking how they are doing. Last time I was there Jerry's wife came by with there newborn baby and I could tell a lot of Jerry's character by how he treats his family. I have had other shops put aqua tread tires on backwards, overfill the oil enough to blow a gasket, and etc... But I feel confidant that the techs Jerry hires are of a higher caliber than most shops and Jerry is willing to go above and beyond to make things right. I purchased a full set of tires for my car and was so appreciative of the customer service I received. I was not pressured into getting a more expensive tire than was necessary and wasn't rushed into making decisions. Between my regular oil changes and tire rotations, I have had my car serviced at University Tire several times. Even though I have not needed to have serious repairs done to my car, I trust them in the event I will need assistance in the future. Due to the attitude of the employees and management at this establishment, I have recommended Univeristy Tire to my friends and family. I have turned nearly 5 or more people onto using University Tire for their new tire purchases, Brake service, air conditioning & Heating repair, and i'm sure other services as well. I can always believe what I am told about my car. Several times I have been told "no, you don't need done". Other might have done the wok anyway. I feel good about what I get for my money at Univ. Tire! more

I had a flat tire and a 3 year old and 1 year old when I came driving into University Tire. They quickly took care of my flat tire and replaced it with a used tire which was the best option for my car. I felt very comfortable there even though I don't know much about cars and was in a desperate situation. I would trust them again. more

On the recommendation of another large tire store in Athens we bought a set of Michelins for our suv. The dealer highly recommended the brand and stressed the 60,000 mile treadwear warranty. 5 years later and with only 31,000 miles on the tires they were completely worn out, despite routine rotation and alignment (it's also worth noting they were evenly worn). Frustrated and disappointed we sought help from the dealer where we purchased them. The story we got this time around was completely different from when they sold us the tires - the tire had no treadwear warranty, and Michelin they said doesn't stand behind their products and is one of the most difficult manufacturers to work with on defect claims. They would be happy to sell us some new tires at full price, but don't expect any refund from Michelin. A friend suggested we check with University Tire for a second opinion. From the beginning our experience at University was completely different. Rather than tell us whatever they could to sell us some new tires they were genuinely concerned with resolving the situation with our old set of tires first. Within 10 minutes they had placed a call to Michelin and gotten approval to sell us a brand new set of Michelins at 50 off. All that without having bought the tires from them originally, and not even having proof of the actual mileage on the tires. I love using University Tire to service my car. They have always been very helpful and have helped me to keep my tires in the best possible shape. I have never smelled smoke in my car. I have been treated only politely. I know that I can trust them to not rip me off. Once I was on the road in another state and had a non-tire problem I needed someone to ask about and I called them and they walked me through it. I do not know what happened to the rest of you but I have been going here for more than ten years and have never had an unpleasant experience. more

They not only will outfit your car with new tires, you can get a good deal on an oil change, too. Usually about $13 with a coupon.
