Would fully agree with most reviews here - Move somewhere else. My son moved in to a filthy apartment - hair and mold all over the bathroom and a layer of thick grease over all kitchen surfaces that took a full day for us to clean to be livable - all the while waiting on management to come by and inspect. They never showed. His apartment later had bed bugs which took multiple calls over multiple days to be resolved. Was only resolved after I called every exterminator in town to find why it was taking so long only to realize when I finally found the one who serviced UC, they had yet to be contacted. Move out charges for my son included a bathroom cleaning charge - UNBELIEVABLE! Do not expect quality management from UC - after 6 months of communication because I could never receive an answer to my dispute of charges - we just received a collection notice in the mail. Better to pay immediately and move on and be grateful there are much better places to live in Baton Rouge. Save yourself some trouble and move somewhere else! more

Would NOT recommend University Crescent. Carpet and blinds were damaged/stained when my son moved in, and was noted on the move-in form, but we were billed 182.00 after he moved out for charges related to replacing blinds, cleaning carpet, taking out garbage (that was left behind by roommates after my son moved out). If you disagree with any of the charges, you have to send an official notice of dispute in writing, and there is no expectation that any of the charges will be amended. So glad he is living somewhere else this year! more

If you value your belongings/your life, DO NOT MOVE HERE. I have been here for two years and within that time span, there have been numerous armed break-ins, my room mates car got broken into, and my own car has been broken into. Though these incidents are reported, the staff takes no security measures what so ever. There is no gate to ward off people who dont live here nor is there a security guard. On top of the fact that there is a basketball court open to any one who wants to play on it and it just brings in the best types of people. (note sarcasm) No wonder the staff pushes renters insurance so much. Bottom line, DO NOT MOVE HERE. Pay whatever extra you have to to live in a gated community. more

not as bad as you think 11/22/2010

Obviously these past residents are taking their anger out on UCrescent through this website. I have lived there for a while and have not have any of these problems! There is an on site maintenance staff that can address any problems that you have and a VERY friendly office staff that is worried abou their residents,,,ive toured at other apartment complexes and they dont even acknowledge you when you walk into the door. And about the ""overpriced"" comments, I personally think that UCrescent is the best deal around campus: its very close to campus, on the bus route, includes a fitness center, computer lab and free tanning, and is a great price for nice sized apartments. And just to let everyone know, there is new management so everything is wayyy more oganized than past years! more

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! 9/15/2010

I LIVE HERE NOW IN A 3BD, 3BR. MY TWO ROOMMATES ARE LSU STUDENTS. THE MODEL APARTMENT LOOKS LOVELY, BUT ONCE YOU MOVE IN...EVERYTHING IS A MESS!!! THE FURNIYUER IS OLD AND RIPPED, THERE ARE HOLES IN THE WALL THE WATER TURNS BROWN, THERE'S PEST AND LOOSE ANIMALS RUNNING AROUND OUTSIDE, THE AIR CONDITONER NEEDS TO BE FIX, AND THE STAFF IS NOT VERY FRIEDNLY. THEY WEREN'T ALLOWING ANYONE TO MOVE IN UNTILL AUGUST 20TH, BUT YOU STILL HAD TO PAY THE FULL $535 FOR THE MONTH AND RENT WAS DUE AGAIN ON THE 1ST. IF YOU PAY AFTER THE 4TH YOU HAVE TO A PAY A LATE FEE OF $35 DOLARS PLUS $10 A DAY. THE ONLY GOOD PART ABOUT STAYING HERE IS THE POOL, GYM & THE COMPUTER LAB AND YOUR ON LSU TIGERS TRAIL BUS ROUTE!!! I ADVISE YOU ALL TO SATY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Mad from Gretna 8/12/2010

Apt. ok, old furniture, old carpet, of course after I moved out in 2009, they remodeled. Staff clueless, when I left had to pay my portion of the electric bill $60.00 twice! Just wanted to get out of there. NOW 1 year later I get a bill from a Collection Agency for $100.00!!! Fighting that ripoff!!!! more

Internet screw up 10/13/2008

First of all I would like to say that University Cresent is Highly overpriced, im living in the complex right now and cant wait to get out. The other person who reviewed this was complety correct to. Any how i just wanted to let everyone know that the internet that you get here does not let you play games online,, i just bought an Xbox 360 and i cant use Xbox live on it. and if you like to play World of Warcraft you cant do that either,, the internet server does not allow it. Pros: tanning Cons: pool is green on most days, its loud, expensive, pay extra for cable, and cant play games using the internet more
