This company has helped raise charity money for http://www.takethatjunk.com 's marathon fundraiser in DC. They posted as anonymous which once we dug into who sent that large sum, turned out to be them. We used them in the past and they were good as a moving company but just as good as a donation giver. I just moved on January 10th and http://www.unionofdcmovers.com made it so smooth! Andy was very responsive to all my emails prior to the move. They quoted the best flat rate. The day of the move, they called to say they were on their way and they arrived on time. The move went smoothly and the guys were very nice. Nothing was broken and the whole 5 1/2 hour move went by very smoothly. (We had great luck with parking spots at both locations which certainly helped!) I would definitely use these movers again. I heard of Union of DC Movers through a friend and decided to use them for my move from Adams Morgan to Dupont Circle. I had some issues with my move out date (DC landlords!!). Union of DC Movers was very responsive to this and adjusted my date/time three times and could not be more polite about it. The recommendation for a provider of packaging materials on the website saved me about $100 compared to the next best that I saw through my own research, which I liked. On the day of the move, the truck arrived on time and the two guys started loading in from my 3rd floor walk up. I have to say that I was probably their favorite kind of client as I had everything prepared and labeled in a very 'Type A' manner. They packed up my stuff and then also carried my old bed to the kirbside to put in the trash, which I though was nice of them. The unpacking was as quick and problem free as the packing, although this time we had the help of a freight elevator. They were done in an hour less than I had budgeted and even rounded down a few minutes for me when we came to settle up. I will definitely use this company again. They did what they promised, took good care of my stuff, were well priced, and seemed as if they wanted my repeat business in the future. Used Union of DC Movers for my move in last week. These guys were great, running up and down a move from a 3rd floor place to a 2nd floor place (and being their 2nd move of the day). They beat their estimated time. Good value and good thinkers on alternative plans if you run into snafus on your moving day. Plan to use them next time. Thank you movers. more
