I heard of Union of DC Movers through a friend and decided to use them for my move from Adams Morgan to Dupont Circle. I had some issues with my move out date (DC landlords!!). Union of DC Movers was very responsive to this and adjusted my date/time three times and could not be more polite about it.
The recommendation for a provider of packaging materials on the website saved me about $100 compared to the next best that I saw through my own research, which I liked.
On the day of the move, the truck arrived on time and the two guys started loading in from my 3rd floor walk up. I have to say that I was probably their favorite kind of client as I had everything prepared and labeled in a very 'Type A' manner. They packed up my stuff and then also carried my old bed to the kirbside to put in the trash, which I though was nice of them.
The unpacking was as quick and problem free as the packing, although this time we had the help of a freight elevator. They were done in an hour less than I had budgeted and even rounded down a few minutes for me when we came to settle up.
I will definitely use this company again. They did what they promised, took good care of my stuff, were well priced, and seemed as if they wanted my repeat business in the future.
