No Limit to TLC 4/22/2010

With a big ""thumbs up"" in the May 2010 issue of Los Angeles Magazine (cover feature, ""The Ultimate Pet Guide!""), now everybody will know about Two Hands Four Paws. The thing is, they do much, much more than rehab miracles for worst case scenarios. They have helped me with two of my canine companions, one who was dying of cancer and one who was a rescue and had soft tissue damage from being locked up in a crate for nine months. In both cases, not only did they not help my hounds through their troubling medical issues, but I also felt a profound sense of personal support throughout the whole process (in one case, improving the end-of-life experience for my dog, and in the other, getting my dog's life back to what she'd lost). Pros: Compassionate and knowledgeable staff more

Where miracles happen... 4/15/2010

If dogs could speak, this is where they would ask to come. All you have to do is look into the eyes of any fuzz kid who comes here to know. What the staff offers at Two Hands Four Paws, can't be taught. It begins in the heart and every outcome grows from there. The difference lies in every single member of the staff truly loving what they do. You can't fool a dog, they know. It can be a tough road, but with the expertise offered here, the journey, the bond you share and the relief your dog gains, is priceless. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at Two Hands Four Paws for giving my dog back his freedom of mobility. The bright eyes, sloppy kisses & tail wags I've received in thanks, are all I need to know that miracles can & do happen. I've seen it with my own eyes & will forever be grateful. Thank you! Pros: gifted, dedicated, caring people more

Always There To Help 3/23/2010

Two Hands Four Paws is amazing. They are there for you when you need them. The therapists work canine muscles so they can improve with gentle and supportive exercises. Then the lucky dog gets a wonderful and relaxing massage. It is great to see the doggie stretch and relax... sometimes even snore! I can not say enough about how they helped my dog and ME. more

A Rear End Revived 3/21/2010

After a ""successful"" hemilaminectomy on the 5th and 6th lumbar discs of my Dandie Dinmont Terrier, to correct herniations in January of 2005, he returned home, unable to walk with his hind legs. Not wanting further surgery I found Leslie, and Two Hands Four Paws. Swimming, exercises, and massage therapy produced a 100% fine walker within two weeks. It's now March of 2010 and Conan continues to run around happily with his brother and sister. Leslie, her staff, the entire experience was beyond all expectations. She knows her stuff and truly does care. Pros: Caring, professional, knowledgeable, successful Cons: NOT ONE !!! more

two hands, huge hearts 3/15/2010

we brought our dog in with a diagonosis of ""a partial tear in each acl"". the knowledge, concern and love that everyone on staff here puts into the work is absolutely amazing. we didn't do surgery and now 7 months later our dog is doing fantastical. he has built up scar tissue thru extensive exercises, swimming, massage and lasering. the staff did amazing work on our dog and i was also taught how to work with him at home re icing, walks, exercises, feeding (keeping his weight down). they communicate so well as to make all this information incredibly ""user friendly"". supporting all their knowledge is their unending geniune love for all the dogs that come in. they truly want to heal every dog there and i personally have seen some miracles there!!! Pros: best physical therapy for dogs more

Caring People, Terrific Service, Great Results 3/15/2010

When our female shepherd mix developed severe over-calcification in her joints, we were dismayed. She had such difficulty in getting about, we were certain she would have to be destroyed. Thanks to the wonderful folks at Two Hands Four Paws, and their regimen of massage, swim therapy, gentle exercise, and common sense, our dog became healthier and moved with greater ease and comfort. I heartily recommend their services to anyone whose dog has a mobility issue. more

Two Hands Four Paws is Amazing 3/14/2010

I will always be grateful to Leslie, Shawn, Valerie and the entire staff at Two Hands Four Paws. Sammi, my beloved bichon, was 12 years old and having difficulties walking and would continuously fall. I took him to a ""specialist"" and was told that Sammi needed a risky surgery that may or may not work. Upon a recommendation, I took Sammi to Two Hands Four Paws. He went once a week for a masage, swimming and exercises. We also did daily excercises at home. Within a few months, Sammi was racing up and down stairs and back to his playful self. more

LESLIE IS WHO I WOULD WANT HELPING MY DOG! 3/13/2010

Leslie rehabbed my dog after his FHO surgery. During his rehab tenure I saw how much Leslie cares and works wonders on her doggie patients. I learned to admire her tireless effort in championing the simple as well as hard to solve cases. I will forever be indebted to Les for her work with my dog and will always use her services should the situation arise. She is someone you would want in your corner helping you!!! Pros: TENACIOUS, CARING SPECIALIST more

Helped my paralyzed pug 3/12/2010

My dog Jake injured his back when he was eight years old, resulting in his hind feet not working properly. He would drag on his knuckles, particularly when he got tired. Eventually, he lost use of his back legs altogether. After consulting with a surgeon -- who advised against surgery, given Jake's age -- we began swimming Jake twice a week with Two Hands Four Paws. The difference in Jake's overall strength and attitude was impressive. He couldn't relearn to walk, but in the water he could swim freely, even using his back legs to some degree. Leslie McMahon helped get Jake fitted for a wheelchair cart, and with it, he was able to take walks around the neighborhood again. Disabled dogs are a lot of work, but it was great having the Two Hands Four Paws staff as a resource. We lost Jake at 14. I know his last six year were much better for all their hard work. Pros: Friendly, caring and knowledgeable more

They Saved my Dog 3/11/2010

I walked into Two Hands Four Paws, carrying my injured dog. I was in tears. I was greeted with warmth and kindness beyond words. The owner, Leslie, talked me through how to care for my sweet dog, Sascha, and from that moment on, I felt at ease. I went home with specific exercises for her. In the days, and years to come, I continued to take Sascha to her for therapy. Her staff is amazing, and I don't think I could have handled the problems with my dog without their support. I highly recommend that anyone with a dog with special needs have the pleasure to experience their unconditional love, knowledge, and support. Even though Sascha is no longer here, her spirit will forever be grateful for all their care and kindness. Pros: Best in Los Angeles more

Amazing care and love for pets! 3/11/2010

When my 2 year old chihuahua, Oscar, had double knee surgery for luxating patella's, I brought him to Two Hands Four Paws for therapy and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Leslie and her team are so knowledgeable and helped my little guy build up his strength and muscles after not being able to walk for two weeks due to the casts around his legs. They put Oscar at ease right away and after our sessions, gave me exercises to do at home with him. And the love that he got every time we had an appointment was priceless : ) We had a great experience and I highly recommend their services. more

Expert and nurturing care for your pet 3/11/2010

When the vets shrugged and told me my 12-year-old German shepherd would just have to endure the discomfort that comes with being an aging shepherd, I called Leslie. She and her team gave my dog, Gypsy, two years of mobility and a quality-of-life that she could never have otherwise enjoyed. Leslie cares for these dogs as if they were her own. She works with passion, commitment, and expert knowledge. When everyone else despairs and gives up, she finds a way to make a difference in the life of your pet. Pros: Leslie and her team are caring and knowledgeable more

Great Care and Love for Your Dog! 3/11/2010

After my 4 month old black lab had knee surgery, we went to Leslie for rehab which, after the very beginning, consisted mostly of swimming. Four years later, we still go for swim therapy to keep her toned and limber and the arthritis at bay as long as possible. She knows when we turn into the neighborhood and can't wait to get out of the car and in the pool for her work out which is intense, although she doesn't know it. Over the years I have observed Leslie and her employees work lovingly and successfully with many dogs with many problems and I can't praise her operation more highly. If your dog needs rehab, this is the only place to go! Pros: Caring professionals more

Leslie is a miracle worker 3/10/2010

I had the privilege of bringing my aging Pit Bull to Leslie a few years ago when his hips were beginning to fail him and he was faced with decreased mobility and increased pain. Leslie swam with him, massaged him, gave me exercises to perform with him, pet him, and made him feel like he was loved and wanted even more than he already was. As a result, he had a happier last two years of his life and lived to almost his 17th birthday. If your dog is suffering from any kind of injury or age-related limitation that is causing pain or loss of function, you'd be doing your pet a disservice by not reaching out to Two Hands Four Paws and asking them to perform their magic. It's worth every penny. Pros: Working with someone who loves your dog like you do more

If you love your dog, you must visit Two Hands Four Paws 3/10/2010

Leslie and her incredibly trained staff are the absolute best at what they do. Their dedication and devotion to your animal immediately puts you at ease and let's you know that you have come to the right place to improve the quality of life and rehabilitate your dog. We were so fortunate to have found them and Los Angeles is lucky to have them based here. The only downside is that I can't go there for my own bad back. Pros: Complete dedication to the rehab of your dog. Cons: I can't go there and be treated! LOL more

Fantastic PT for dogs 3/10/2010

I brought my beloved german shepherd to 2H4P when she was diagnosed with degenerative mylopathy. I had been trying all of my ""medical options"" and was referred to them by my veterinarian. ""Audrey's"" prognosis was for 6 months no use of her back legs what so ever. She lived 2.5 years after that prognosis and I have 2H4P to thank for that. It was the only treatment (and I tried everything) that made any difference. Perhaps the best part was it improved her quality of life, as her mobility deteriorated she thrived on her bi-weekly swims. I also depended a great deal of the support from Leslie and the staff to walk me through the last 2.5 years of her life and help me make both her and MY life and easy as possible. Pros: compassionate and knowledgeable more

A True Godsend 3/10/2010

Not only did Leslie make the last years of my arthritic Bichon's life infinitely happier, healthier and more comfortable thanks to Two Hands, Four Paws' weekly therapy and love, but it was through her that I had the joy of adopting my precious special needs dog Dude, whom she rehabbed for a year after he became paralyzed from the waist down. Four years after she worked her magic he's as playful, active and joyful as my other three challenge-free dogs, and Dude still lights up like a Christmas tree at the sight of his ""godmother."" She's an essential member of the family and always will be. Pros: Reliable, Honest, Caring and Brilliant Qualified more

TLC for pets 3/10/2010

Caring for our beloved 14 year old Newfie mix proved so easy with the generous love and massages given by Leslie and her amazing crew. Apache lived to a ripe old age and I credit the last few of those to 2 Hands 4 Paws! Pros: extending the life of a beloved pet more

Great, great people 3/10/2010

Leslie and her staff are wonderful. Our Bichon has received great care and made excellent progress from an ACL tear. They've had him in the pool, on a treadmill and on balancing boards. They even gave me homework so can continue to improve on the days we're not there. He'd go all the time if he could! Yay, Leslie, Dr. Fox and the whole crew. Pros: Loving, individual care Cons: Can be tough to get an appointment more
