help fast, give good deals 1/18/2011

This place really stands out when you are driving on Mcguinness blvd. I noticed it when I was going to work in the morning and decided to get my inspection sticker there on my way back. So the inspection was pretty fast and not painful for my wallet, he started checking my car right away! While I was waiting for that I noticed they do oil changes too and you get a complimentary car wash! This is really great. You can get a bunch of stuff done just in one right place - safes you time and nerves dealing with those auto shops that never heard of customer service! more

decent service!!! 1/14/2011

I got my civic towed over here, which was pretty easy and they didn't give me any stories like the other places. the problem was with the alternator and the battery. well, I never actually replaced them and I have this car for quite a long time...so, they called me with a quote before doing anything ( thumbs up for that!) and after I approved the job, they started to work on it. I got my car up and running the same day, later in the afternoon! good job!! more

so the engine light came up on my 04 honda crv and i came down here to get a diagnostic. shortly the mechanic explained what is causing the problem and he actually showed me all these parts in the car. Also he told me which parts can wait to be fixed until approx next month, which is perfect for me , cause i'm low now. This guy really knew what he was talking about, straight and reasonable - that's what i respect. so i ended up getting my car fixed in this place, and now it's running perfectly fine, don't see any issues. thanx a lot. more

my battery died just when i was going to work, what a lucky Monday! I live by Mcguinness blvd and there are lots of autoshops. So I was walking down the street, trying to get smb to take a look at my car. I just didn't know people are so lazy even to get some business for themselves! i was furious!!! besides that I was late to work!!! long story short, I got to Two guys, they helped me right away - got the jump start, their mechanic checked the car, replaced the battery (well, it was about time...over 5 yrs..) and i was only a little late to my job!!! more

There are honest Mechanics out there 1/8/2011

I believe I had exhausted all options and places in search of an honest mechanic. But fortunately I found these guys before junking my car and hopping on the train. The funny thing is, they were right down the street the whole time.. I just thought they were just a car wash. But it turns out their place is huge and they don't only do just about everything, but they also are the nicest bunch of guys. more

Everytime we get a problem with my old good Volvo or my hasband's Subaru, we are coming to see these guys! They are always honest and straight with me, and definetely do a great job, because I never had to come back with the same thing. Lately I had a problem with the heater, so I dropped my car off at two guys, shortly they called me and said I need to change a heater core. I called a few places just to compare the prices, because we are a little bit tied up right now, but everywhere else was more expensive. Anyways, I wouldn't go to another place for even a hundred dollars difference, you need to really trust the mechanics to leave your car and I trust them in two guys! more

our fav autorepair place! 12/14/2010

I'm familiar with this place since we moved to Williamsburg. We changed 3 cars already and always come back to two guys! My wife loves their car wash ( obviously, women...what u gonna say) and I really appreciate their work on all repairs. Moreover, since I started to get service over there, I became literate about the cars, cause everytime I brought it in, they'd put it on the lift and showed me what had to be done and explained to me why. more

fast good service 12/13/2010

I was here last week for inspection, came early so the inspector was not available yet and i was told to come back either later on or in the afternoon. I had to go to work and it wasn't really convenient for me.... So I came back after 4pm and my car was inspected right away, I checked my e-mails, fb(they have free internet use inside) and was out of there shortly with the new sticker on my windshield. that's it. thank you guys. more

Unsatisfactory - beware 12/11/2010

I had a bad experience getting my car serviced there. I was given an estimate of over $2000 to repair something, and when I decided not to do it and take my car elsewhere the manager became visibly angry. Eventually it only cost about $300 to do the needed repairs at another mechanic, and they were (surprisingly) totally different from what I had been told by Two Guys. And I also got an oil change thrown in. more

Professional, fast & reasonable 9/16/2010

I've been getting my car washed there for the last year since I work nearby, and I must admit - they do a fantastic job. I know all the guys by now and they are not lazy to clean smth extra if I ask them, free of charge of course. Recently I felt that the brakes are not working properly and steering had a problem, so I asked their mechanic to take a look at my car. Even though they had a lot of cars inside the shop, he checked mine and then put the car on the lift to show me exactly which parts are not working properly and what needs to be replaced. So I left my car there since I got a reasonable estimate on repair. And I started to cry that I really need the car for tomorrow morning..but guess what?! it was ready later on the same day I dropped it off!!! This kind of service is exactly what I need!!!!!!!! more

Pride driven 9/12/2010

Out of all the repair shops I've been to, I like the way these guys work. I've never seen anyone quite like them. I notice they have such pride in everything they do. Not only the mechanics, but even the car wash guys. I stood there watching the mechanics put in a combination Solar Hybrid / Vegetable oil running motor into a Volvo. They were happy to let me watch. So after one of the guys inspected my cars, I decided to hang around till they started up.the Volvo It was amazing to listen to the owner run the calculations and measurements to the guys on how the electric and oil needed to be adjusted. Later I was told they hold classes on many different topics and alternatives concerning green energy. That's would certainly be something interesting to attend. more

DISHONEST, SLOPPY, Worse Shop in the Whole Area 8/15/2010

When I went to TWO GUYS LIERS for NY state inspection they said that need new brakes and tune up.. 3-4 weeks before going to TWO GUYS LIERS I had new brakes (rotors and brake pads installed & complete tune up done at at PepBoys. Once I told them that I had that done 3-4 weeks ago/maybe I drove 800 miles litte guy come from the office and tryied telling my that they were bad quality... and agian how he new that... I had front & rear ceramic brake pads which are one of the best. The car didn't need anything. I went to shop 2 blocks down and car passed inspection... They try to sell you stuff you don't need... I used to work in the repair shop for 14 years before opening my business but I never saw anything like this.... more

One of the best out there 2/18/2010

Two Guys Autoplex I found to be one of the few out there that is truthful to the customers and would go out of their way to help. I got stuck on the Pulaski Bridge one evening just as they were closing. I walked over the bridge to find someone to help. 2 other shops refused to help once they heard that I was not interested checking out the problem or repairing it but to only push it off the bridge and park it somewhere. But the owner of Two Guys Autoplex drove me back and pushed the car off the bridge and into a parking spot for me for nothing. Well, the next day when it was time to do something about the car , of-course I chose Two Guys Autoplex to make the repairs. Pros: Truthful and pleasent staff more

On the ball 2/4/2010

These people are great. I didn't have to wait for anything. I went there for an inspection and even as busy as they were I was in and out in 20 minutes. All the other places I've gone to I needed to make an appointment first and go back and then still wait an hour or 2. Two Guys Autoplex is really on the ball. Pretty good repair place 12/30/2009

I must say, these guys really impressed me with their professionalism. The way they check my car to find the problem that was not found by 2 other shops was pretty interesting. They were going over wire and computer diagrams and testing wire for particular signals for about an hour. And they found the problem. Rain water had gotten into a connector which was shorting the system. it was just a matter of drying the connector and sealing it. So I got off cheap. The guys are really good at what they do. The only thing I wasn't so thrilled about was the way they cleaned my windows when washing my car. Otherwise their great.
