Two Guys Autoplex

NYS inspection in Brooklyn,, there only one place. Two Guys Autoplex.. Seriously. I've been to so many other places in Bklyn, Queen, even Manhattan, and I've always got screwed somehow. But these guys are the best in every way. I was in and out in 10 minutes and everything with my car was cool. I was so surprised when the mechanic came to me and said ""all done"". The other places around just always tried getting me for something. What I really liked, was that they went over the car with a fine tooth comb, (which I admit, I really need at times) and still found nothing wrong. I'll be using them from now on. Perhaps you should too. Thumbs up...... I hope you guys see this... more

Okay, now that I've moved out of the area I feel safe to tell my tale. Second, I'd have to say that the majority of these '5 Star' reviews are probably written by the owner or his staff. I had a VW Jetta that needed some work on the transmission so i brought my car in. The owner, Steven (I think thats his name) tells me the transmission is shot and need to be either rebuilt or replaced. His recommendation to rebuild it. Okay, fine. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! They had my care for two weeks and charged me $1200.00. When I picked the car up it died. Why you ask, the car ran out of gas. I never left less than a quarter tank of gas in my car, I have my guesses. The owner and his mechanic came and helped me push it around the corner to my house but seriously, no gas in the car? Within days the transmission started slipping again so i brought it back, they had my car for 5 days. When I got it back.....same thing, transmission slipping. This went on 4 more times until finally one night, just hours after I picked the car up from Two Guys for another 'fix' the car COMPLETELY shut down on the 495 (L.I.E.) , electrical system and all while my PREGNANT wife and I were sitting inside. The car then turned back on and we pulled over at the first exit where the car died again and left us with no heat on a winter night. Again, my wife is PREGNANT. After waiting for an hour for a tow truck provided by AAA were towed by an outside company and they told us that the transmission should be replaced and the wiring should be checked, the car was grounding/shorting out. When I confronted the owner Steven and told him I wanted my money back he said bring the car in again. I told him NO WAY and explained that he had multiple opportunities to correct the problem and now it was becoming a life threatening situation for me and my PREGNANT wife. I explained to the owner Steven (i think thats his name) what the other shop told us and his response was 'shops talk bad about other shops all the time and I'm not giving you your money back'. As I then tried to explained further the owner became belligerent I left his shop never to return. We ended up getting rid of the car and I left this situation to karma and now City Search. I may have the owner's name wrong but I am talking about the correct shop. more

Bklyn Auto Repair Shop that's honest, reasonable and friendly. These are really some helpful hardworking guys. Two Guys Autoplex is now the only place I'll go for anything and everything. You have no idea what I've been through searching for a place I can trust. I've been to so many other places before, just to have my car sit there for weeks or to eventually get ripped off. I was so frustrated. Anyway,, I found this place that takes care of everything on the car. The place is huge. They do mechanical repair, computer repair, body repair, glass, and they even have a full service car wash that raps around the building. And I found them to be more than reasonable with there prices. But most importantly,, the owner and employees are actually honest, and are the friendliest people around. After what I've been through with other places, you can't imagine how relieved I am to have found this place. Thanks for listening. more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! I went here to get a window repaired since my car was broken into. At the time, seemed like a decent job. Here's the catch: a few months later, my car was towed. I had no idea why: it was parked in a legal spot and I had no outstanding tickets. Or so I thought! Turns out that after I had dropped off my car at the Two Guys Autoplex, they proceeded to park it on the sidewalk outside the shop, where it had amassed hundreds of dollars in tickets. These crooks didn't even have the decency to let me know about this. When I confronted them, I was told that ""we are not responsible for your car after you drop it off here."" Total bill for my visit to this junkyard: window repair for $200, tickets and towing fees $850. UNBELIEVABLE!! It is my opinion that this sort of practice crossed that line separating shoddy business practice into the bounds of outright criminality, and we will be pursuing a case with the King's County DA. Save yourself the time and aggravation and DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! more

It used to be a rip off anytime I head to a repair shop. As soon as they see a woman, they are trying to take me for a ride. Well, not the Two Guys, though! When I brought my 2001 Corolla to them with the check engine light on, they patiently explained to me what sensors and WHY they needed to replace on the vehicle. I watched them having done exactly what was on the invoice, nothing more and nothing less. They did it and the following week my car passed the inspection with flying colors. I was totally satisfied. more

I usually go to this place to change oil on my Subaru. Everytime I am there, I am treated like an old friend. The service is fast and there are computers with Internet in the waiting area. Few days ago I had to change the struts on the car. The repair was done within the same day. Nice and efficient. more

For a long while I was searching for a reliable mechanic who I could trust. I think I have finally found one. The guys at ""Two Guys"" :) did much more than initially promised. They fixed the bumper on the car (this is what had to be done) and they also replaced some light bulbs without charging me for that. Well, I understand, that most likely the price quoted for the bumper repair allowed them to do that for free, however, it was a very pleasant surprise for me that they just ""threw this in"". Absolutely great people work at Two Guys! Courteous, always with a smile, polite and informative about what you need to know about your car repairs. I was there last Saturday with my Volkswagen Beetle and they performed a wonderful job on my exhaust. Wonderful, because I spent less money than I initially expected. Finally my car sounds right (not like a machine gun) when I drive. more

I was able to save money having brought my Audi to this shop. Somewhere else I was told that the car needs a computer module to be replaced. The price quoted was outrageous. At Two Guys they let me know that it was possible to just reprogram the module at a fraction of the price I was getting at a different shop. They did it and I had my car back, having saved the amount of money that would have been enough to spend a weekend at Miami Beach! more

While a lot of repair shop owners are sort of friendly, this one is not only friendly, but also he is a a very knowledgeable mechanic. He was able to explain to me in plain language what was the problem with my car having ""Check Engine"" light on. After that the shop mechanics fixed the issue within a few minutes. Thank you, Two Guys! more

I do my oil changes at this location. Naturally, when my Honda Accord needed to be repaired (front brakes and rotors) I brought her to the same place. It was superfast! The job was done while I was sitting and surfing Internet in the waiting area. At the end they even washed the car for free! These days it is difficult to find a reliable mechanic and I am happy I did. more

I recently fixed my car at Two Guys Autoplex. I got there following the advice from a friend of mine. The job was done professionally and on time. To my satisfaction, they did few extra things on the car without charging me. That's what I call a good service! more

Dishonest and shoddy, Go elsewhere. Skip this place. They did a lousy, lazy job of what should have been a simple break work and cost me a lot of headaches High reviews on here are suspect. I called this place to ask if they are open to change the battery, since my car didn't start. I got a jump from my neighbour, but when I was talking to him ( he's good with the cars), we noticed that the problem was not with the battery, actually it was a thermostat, and I know, cause it was overheating lately. So when I got to Two Guys and ask just to change the thermostat, they did it with no selling bs, no freaking stories and no other repairs popping-out like mushrooms after a rain. Rarely you can find a place like that. Definitely coming back for a battery change in few weeks. more

Last snow storm these guys helped me out A LOT! my car wouldnt start, and they were literally the only one in the area who was open that day. I knew I had a problem with the battery, but I wasn't ready to fix it just then...so I got a booster. But today I had enough of it, brought my to these guys and got everything done in about 10 min! looooovely! more

I always come back to this place! They did a very good job 2 years ago, when there was an oil leak on my Subaru Outback. Then last year I came for inspection, got to fix the front brakes, and it really felt much better after I did! Just recently I came back for this annual inspection again - passed and left to work with no worries. Thank you guys! more
