Two Guys Autoplex 2

I had an auto repair done at Two Guys Autoplex 2 in Astoria recently. It turned out to be a positive experience for me. The repair was a simple one: I just needed to change my belts. What I liked, however, was the attitude from the manager and the mechanic. See, usually auto repair shops try to avoid small jobs like this. Well, these guys at Two Guys Autoplex 2 definitely think that no job is small for them. They treated me as if I was their regular customer and as if I was doing a major repair. It is a very rare instance these days. Here I just wanted to thank them. Most likely, I will become their regular customer. more

Two Guys Autoplex 2 are great diagnosticians. I had a serious computer issue with my relatively new BMW for the last few months, where the car would die out the moment I came to a stop. So at first I thought to bring it to the dealer. I wound up pulling the car out of the dealer because 3 times they told me everything was fine and that I just needed to drive the car so the computer can reset itself. It was so frustrating, until one day it broke down on the corner close to Two Guys shop on 38st in Astoria.. When I saw the shop and the name it sounded familiar. It turns out I had gone to their other shop in Greenpoint about a year ago for a noise I was hearing and was pleased with their service. So I left the car over night. By noon the next day they found the problem and gave me a printout of the diagnostic report. But to my surprise, they told me that I shouldn't look to do the work being the car is still under warranty for the next 2 1/2 months, and that the dealer is responsible. Also Two Guys helped me force the dealer to make good on the faulty computer before the warranty ran out. Nice Guys,, Really... more

A few days ago I had to get a regular oil change, so I went to the place I usually go to, close to my work place, I leave the car in the morning, I pick it up before I go home - very convenient. BUT this time these guys just pissed me off. When I came back they told me I can not get my car, cause I'll get into the accident - it's so bad, the brakes are bad, oil leak, transmission leak, the racknpinion and some other BS. I said its impossible, cause in the morning everything was just fine!!! I got so angry that I left immediately. When I came home and calmed down I started to think that maybe they did messed up my car and decided to get a second look. I googled any place close to my house. there were a few of them, the one with really good reviews was Two Guys Autoplex 2, and its just few blocks away, so I tried my luck here. And I'm so happy I found this place! They checked out everything and amazingly the car didn't need all those repairs. The only thing I needed were brakes, which I knew about, cause I could feel it while driving. And I'm so happy that there are still honest people out there and I saved about $1500 just checking out with these guys! Now I'm driving perefectly fine and still can afford vacations!!! more

Recently my car was sooooo loud, I cld actually see people staring at me when I was at the light. But I just didn't have time to give it to mechanics to check it out, and it was still driving fine,so no rush. Finally I saw this place on the corner of Steinway and Northern blvd, I live just a few steps from there, and decided to check these guys out. They told me its the water pump, everything else was fine, thnx God. But it gets even better - they told me it will take only about an hour to fix it! Great, this was exactly the best timing! Now it's driving so quietly that I can work undercover. lol. definitely coming back!!! more

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Two Guys had a branch here in Astoria. Before I always used to go to their Greenpoint location. I love those guys - they are really experienced mechanics, honest and customer-friendly! they always find a minute to talk to the customer! the only problem was that they are too far from my house, cause I live all the way up in Astoria, but the problem is fixed now!!! I can easily access them by Northern blvd! It's so convenient! more

Great guys, what can i say! i decided to try them out, since my mechanic went for vacations, and i'm totally satisfied! they did a tune-up for my honda and now it feels so much better! also they heard the noise in a steering wheel, which i did have for a while, but just didn't pay much attention...so i'm definitely coming back for this check-up, i'm sure i can trust these mechanics!!! more

helpful and good mechanics!!! I'm happy I was introduced to this place, even if it was by my bad luck. I got a flat tire just when I was on my way to a VERY important interview in the city. I stopped by 2 places on Steinway st. - in one place nobody came to actually talk to me, in the other place they told me that it's gonna take them some time(cuz they wanted to put my car on the lift, and all the lifts were busy) - so I left imediately, u know, if I'm a woman it doesn't mean that I'll believe u that to pump some air or patch the tire u need to put the car on the lift !!! more

I didn't see this place before, I think they opened just recently, but I was happy to discover it. I needed just ordinary brakes job and i needed it done fast. I dropped the car off, the dude told me to come back in about an hour, so I went to have lunch, and when I came back - everything was done! I double checked everything (nowdays it's hard to trust anybody) - it was all right. Coming back with other repairs for sure! more

These guys are the greatest. When ever i'm in a rush they take me right away. Whether its for an oil change, auto repair, or, NYS inspection, there fast, thorough, and honest. And their prices are not so bad either. more

I just stopped by for an oil change, I was in the area and just had to get it done. First of all I was surprised by friendliness of the workers over there and their understanding, since I was in a rush. When the car was ready, they advised me that its time to do some repairs...yeah, I know, i've been trying to take care of that for a long time, but my problem is, I cannot leave a car for more than an hour, and this type of repair needed like 3-4 hrs - at least, this is what I was told in another mechanic shop in mnh. These guys were really surprised, they told me they will finish just over lunch. So here I am, still enjoying my lunch at P.B., and I already got a call from them that it's ready and I'll get a free car wash!!!! hoorey!!!!! more

I like this place. I first found them when I ran out of gas on my way home from work. They were nice enough to push my car 4 blocks to a gas station and never charged me anything. I later when I saw the name on the building it was clear. These guys are the same as the one in Greenpoint. It just a 2nd location. And that place has a great reputation. Since then, I've been using them to take care of any of my car. Just recently I went there to have them look at why my car was shaking. They were quick about checking it out and fixing the problem. It was great, I was in and out in 20min. And they washed my car for free. more

These guys are the ones to see if you have any issues with your car. Even though I moved from Greenpoint to Astoria I still drove over to their other location in Greenpoint for an oil change or if I needed them to check out the car. Now I see they opened another location here in Astoria which makes things so much easier for me. I've been going to these guys for years. And I would never go anywhere else. more
