The Best Value In Vegas 5/31/2010

For the money, you can't beat Twin Creeks at the Silverton. Their Classics menu offers dinners in the $20 plus range, including salad and two sides -- it's cheaper than a buffet, a lot healthier and a lot better. We've been there three times and think it's the best value in Pros: Incredible Prices Cons: A bit far from the strip more

Bargain priced tapas 1/28/2009

05/11 Twin Creeks is one of our favorite restaurants, offering high quality food at reasonable prices in a refined atmosphere, but tonight we were there for the tapas. On Tuesday through Thursdays evenings between 6PM and 8PM, all tapas and specialty drinks are available at ? off menu prices. We were offered a choice of seating in the bar area or restaurant proper, choosing the latter. Our first order was bacon wrapped dates sprinkled with blue cheese in a red wine reduction ($3.50, 3 stars) and roasted paquillo peppers stuffed with a garlic cream cheese that were beyond delicious ($3.50, 5 stars). The second order included calamari with a delicious chipotle aioli ($4, 2.5 stars) and 6 mini meatballs in an amazing sherry tomato sauce ($3, 4 stars). Our last order was the delicious paquillo peppers.($3.50, 5 stars). Note: we were told that beginning in June, happy hour seating would be confined to the bar area. 12/09 The restaurant was not as busy as on past visits and I now suspect corners are being cut to bolster the bottom line. We were served a basket of artisan bread and each ordered the prime rib, medium rare, along with asparagus and a baked potato. The prime rib was cooked as ordered, but it was exceptionally fatty. The baked potato was overcooked and even the asparagus spears were not as tasty or crisp as in the past. To put the nail in the coffin, our server was a bit too lackadaisical. As silver card holders our entrees were ? off. 09/09 As their advertisement states, this restaurant offers ?Strip quality dining at stripped down prices?. We were served a basket of artisan rolls to start off. Both of us ordered the queens cut roast beef, medium rare, off the Classics section of the menu. Our entrees included a very good house salad and two sides. Ann chose mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. I selected broccolini and asparagus while requesting balsamic vinegar which our server indicated would have to come from another of their restaurants. Our prime ribs were more than ample, perfectly cooked and the best I have had in ages. Given the quality of our entrees, the attentive service, reasonable pricing and overall ambiance, it is difficult to beat Twin Creeks, but it got better. The Silverton has a long running a 2/1 dining special for its Silver and above cardholders. The total bill charged to my wife?s slot card was only $20 plus applicable tax. 04/09 Update: This restaurant has proven to be one of our favorites in terms of quality, price and service. We received a basket of mixed rolls followed by a salad of spring greens lightly dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette. My wife ordered the 6 ounce filet mignon medium rare while I chose the fresh fish of the day, sea trout over a very dense broth with roasted yellow and red pear tomatoes and red peppers. Both entrees included mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus. My wife said she did not have room for a dessert, but I ordered a tiramisu which we both ended up sharing ? go figure. I used a $50 certificate purchased from a local radio station. 12/09 The restaurant was not as busy as on past visits and I now suspect corners are being cut to bolster the bottom line. Pros: Beautiful restaurant, prices reasonable Cons: Possible decrease in quality more

Best restaurant outside of the LV Strip 6/5/2008

TwinCreeks is a wonderful surprise. The Silverton is not a well known hotel/casino in Las Vegas and well off the strip. I was very pleasantly surprised when Twin Creeks opened, as I thought I could finally get a decent bottle of wine and good bourbone at the Silverton, where my company puts me up. I was even more surprised when I ate dinner there for the first time. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is excecllent. Try their lobster bisque, as it is different from most bisques I have had and absolutely great. I have eaten there about four times now and never had something I didn't totally enjoy. Pros: Great ambience and staff Cons: Expensive more

Amazing food, atmosphere and service 4/14/2008

As a local, I tend to be a bit picky when it comes to restaurants since there are so many options here in Vegas. After visiting Twin Creeks, I can say that it is truly a hidden gem off the beaten path of the Strip. The food is to die for (be sure to try the roasted monkfish), the room is gorgeous (highlighted by a stunning rock wall) and the service is excellent. At the bar, the resident mixologist (John DuPont) is both talented and friendly...willing and able to discuss the inspiration behind several of his liquid creations. Pros: Ambience, Quality more

Great in Comparison 6/7/2005

I have eaten at almost all local steakhouses. Twin Creeks is by comparison the best value and 'bang for the buck'. The prices are very reasonable and my friends & I enjoy the 'sides' coming with the steaks. This is an added plus that reduces the bill by over $10 from a comparable steakhouse. I haven't had a bad experience at this restaurant and will continue to frequent. more

Best deal for quality steak 3/28/2005

corn fed beef with great atmoshere and reasonable priced. terrific Pros: value, quality Cons: casino location more

Needs help but close to perfect 2/7/2005

I has Oysters for an app and I am so picky about oysters and these were perfection. The raw bar guy schucking those things needs a raise. The horseradish they make there is incredible and wasabi hot! This was the highlight, now I go on. I had a NY steak, it was beautiful and thick. I ordered med rare and it was beyond rare. I was getting full so I did not send it back. My husband had the Osso Bucco which I realize is a fatty piece of meat but meat was missing and he ate none of it. So I oredered creme brulee for dessert and the top was crispy and wonderful but what was underneath was runny and yucky. I would go here again, I think they can do better and will. My server Brian was awesome and so was the Thai bus guy, very nice man. Pros: PRICE!!, oyster shucker, add ons Cons: distance, dessert, hotel reputation more
