Tutor Time / Learning Centers Corporation 9/18/2009

Tutor Time is a corporate business trying to make money via childcare and marketing that they have a 'private Kindergarten'. I have been a teacher for 20 years teaching 8th, 7th and 7 years pre-K. In my experience, Tutor Time looks great on the outside but on the inside no one is experienced in child development, education of early childhood children, degreed/certified teachers, etc. the list goes on. It is definately NOT a place for quality early childhood education. Bottom line it is a business of getting more money, not getting more quality education for your child. more

Think twice before taking your baby to this place 7/4/2008

I would not recommend anybody to bring a child to this place. I took my baby to this place for about one week and I still feel guilty about it. I could never meet the person taking care of my baby, it was a very cold place: no love for kids, just for money. I still remember how frustrated my baby was while being there. That was a very sad time. Thank God that I realized it before it got worse. Now my baby is in another place where he is treated with love. more

I was happy for a while but now feel that the center is going down hill. 11/16/2007

My daughter has been attending this Tutor Time for the past 6 months. She started going here when she was 18 months old. The first week was hard for her to adjust to being away from me (and hard for me too) but after the first few weeks I could tell she really enjoyed going here. But in the past couple of months there has been a LOT of staff turnover. Even worse, there is a complete lack of communication from the staff to the parents in my opinion. I would not know that my daughter's teachers had left if I hadn't asked them directly about it. Now that she is without a teacher she is shuffled from class to class. I never know which room she will be in when I pick her up. Also, they do things with the fees and such that they charge that they do not communicate to you either. It is extremely frustrating. I have tried talking to a manager about it but have been told she is not available. I am sad because this place started out so great but the past couple of weeks when I drop her off my d more

Tutor Time in Smynra, GA 10/8/2007

Reading all of this stuff is making me smile, and not because I agree. Because I find it funny. My 3 yr old daughter has been attending Tutor Time for a little over a yr now. I had her placed in a private daycare in Smyrna. Turned out to be a nightmare. In talking to co workers about places in Smyrna; my husband and I went and met the directors. There was no decision to be made. We both felt good with the place the minute we pulled out of their driveway. My child has been there ever since. She loves her teachers. Who are more like famliy to us now, after being there this long. \r My entire family has been pleased with the amount of things Tutor Time has taught our child. \r We have had a few minor issue with a couple of different things. But as soon as my husband or myself address them with the staff; it was taken care of. It is my personal opinion that we will never think our child is 100% taken care of the way WE would do it oursleves. But I also have a great deal of respect for people more

Tutor Time Experience 5/16/2007

I first enrolled my son at Tutor time when he was 1 1/2 yrs old. This was the third daycare I tried so I had some comparisons. I think the classroom setup is great that divides the toddlers into 1 - 11/2 and 1 1/2 - 2 and the same for the 2-3 year class. This makes a tremendous difference with toddlers because they develop so rapidly. I also appreciated the fact that there is more than one teacher in the room. Previous daycare centers I tried did not have this same setup. My child has always had difficulty transitioning from classrooms and teachers as he becomes very attached to them. What I appreciate at Tutor Time is the teachers immediately pick him up and give him attention when he is having difficulty transitioning. This is something that I had problems with at previous daycare centers because they did not give as much attention. I have daily conversations with the teachers and directors here and my questions and/or any concerns I have are always addressed and answered in more

getting suspicious 3/6/2007

It's only a few days for my a year and half old daughter, but the way she seems to be scared to death when going in there doesn't suggest this to be an adaptation thing. This only happened before with another bad daycare (YMCA) in another state. When we sent her to Montessori, she'd be happy everyday. \r \r The toddlers in Tutor Time seem to be trained to be emotionless, numb, and scared. \r \r I saw, from a distance, a teacher hitting a child using a cardboard or something the other day... more

Tutor Time Child Care/Learning Centers 8/7/2006

My grandchild went to Tutor Time Child Care/Learning Centers for a while but when they moved in a different place, they have to quit taking him in this place too. I am just giving them 3 stars because they did not really impressed me. My grandchild wasnt really excited whenever I take him over there. If this is one of the place you are considering taking your child, you might wanna check the place out first. more

Bad experience - bad teachers and filthy place 4/24/2006

I found it diffcult to rate this daycare with one star. It doesn't deserve any stars. The teachers are inexperienced, rough with the kids, and the place is a filth. Children are not well taken care of while there. I feel it is my obligation to warn other parents who care about their children and may be considering this daycare. Consider yourself warned. more

Tutor Time Child Care 8/26/2005

Before I decided to become a work at home mom. I took my 4 month old little boy here after removing him from a previous day care after 3 weeks. This child care facility really impressed me. The staff was so very nice and caring and always invited you to drop in at any time you like. They are very safe also because you could not get in the door without a card to release the lock. You brought your own crib sheets so that you know they are clean. I really got the feeling that my baby was really being taken care of. He only went for 1 week because my job at the time went out of business, which I consider a blessing now because I choose to stay at home with him and I'm loving it. more
