Cover-Ups 10/15/2017

This center has mostly excellent staff, however many things are out of date and borderline dangerous, watched a hand sanitizer machine fall off the wall when doing a walk thru. There were also many sharp edges... Not very child friendly. The director seemed to be on the verge of yelling most of the time. If the director can barely control her emotions with potential parents, what does that say about how she treats her staff? I can't believe that any real licensed inspections are happening there, since I could see all of these things from just being there for a short visit. Interesting too how "Tesia" is on here as a rave parent review and also under a review saying they terminated someone. I hope this can give you some insight online, but if you need to see for yourself, it's clear if you do a tour. more

People right reviews when they are very angry or very happy. It's generally emotional driven. My son loves it there. Yes, they have rabbits and they are adorable. They treat them well and let them out of the cage sometimes. But every evening when I pick him up they are sterilizing and cleaning the place extremely well. My son surprised me when he showed me he was learning how to swim, love it! The other kids and parents are also great. He has been to 2 birthday parties already and many of his friends attended his as well. If you are over protective and/or rigid with your children then a private daycare like this would not be the way to go for you and that's ok. But we are very pleased with how happy he is there and he is excited to get out the door in the morning and go. Thanks Moppets! more

Excellent Daycare Center! 4/17/2014

Both of my children attend Moppets and we couldn't be happier with the care that they receive. I can't say enough good things about the Director and staff. They always cater to special requests and carefully listen to any special instructions or situations. The teachers are very knowledgeable and caring. My toddler who has attended since he was 12 weeks old has thrived and is so excited about going to "school" every day. My infant is always playing with toys or with a teacher and in a great mood when I pick him up. The building itself is a great environment, it is meticulously cleaned and promotes fun and learning. The outdoor play spaces are great and they have separate playgrounds for the different age groups. I toured many of the other Woburn centers and they really didn’t even compare. I am 100% confident that my kids are safe, happy and well taken care of at Moppets. more

THE BEST, 5 years and two kids, from Parents and Kids, the BEST!!! 12/17/2013

We moved in 2013 and had to go to another daycare. Moppets, formally named TurtleFuns, is by far the best you will ever find. In short, they have a great staff, some still write us to check in, great facility, great location, and are by far the best value - we learned the hard way that most daycares make you pay for diapers, bring lunch, and close every possible holiday or hint of snow. But NOT Moppets, they take care of diapers, lunch, are always open, and are SUPER nice. Holly runs a tight ship, anyone that has written negative posts clearly has their own issues. I am a real parent and we would go back to Moppets in a second if we did not move so far, and by the way, they have better prices than most. Also, they do have real pets, enjoy the holidays, and have fun (summer BBQ, with big slides, graduation, etc.). After knowing what other daycares are like, I would give Moppets 100 stars if I could. more

Good reviews written by director and staff!! 11/15/2013

Any good reviews for this daycare are written by the director using a fake name. Also she forces her staff to write good things to try and cover up her poorly run daycare. Animals are allowed to roam freely through the classrooms and defecate on the carpet that your children will play on. Please protect your children and look for a REAL daycare. more

Not a proper daycare 8/12/2013

Moppets, previously Turtlefuns, is a horrible place. My husband and I pulled our son out of the preschool classroom in June because the teachers lied to us and were racist. more

careless school 7/13/2013

They ae ver careless. My daughter told that she was hungry when I picked her up and she did not have lunch. I never recommend this preschool to my friend although it is a little bit cheaper. more

WE'RE CHANGING OUR NAME! 6/14/2013

For years we were known as Turtlefuns. We provided high quality, safe and caring infant and toddler care as well as preschool and pre-k. We were never quite happy with our name, it just never seemed to fit. Finally, we are making the jump to a name that is in harmony with who we really are and what we really do. We offer the same great curriculum, the same great services and the same Best of Woburn teachers. Our corporate structure has not changed, our reputation will not change. We'll continue to do our best to meet your expectations and provide the best child care in the area. more

Very good daycare 5/24/2013

I disagree with the negative comments. The staff is really nice and accommodating, we have some special requests regarding our daughter food schedule and it has never been a problem. The center is very clean. Our daughter is always happy when she goes and happy when she left. A happy baby says it all! Laetitia more

Not just the best care also an awesome price 6/6/2012

Both my children went to Turtlefun and absolutely loved it! I looked at dozens of places before choosing TF and was feeling terrible b/c I hadn't seen anything I liked even a little, then another parent recommended TF. I l loved it on site. The teachers were wonderful, the place was always spotless and my kids didn't even get sick very often b/c they were so diligent about cleaning. The piano(which are a small additional fee) and swimming were terrific and my son is still taking lessons in both and is 2 years ahead of other kids his age b/c of TurtleFun. I can't believe there is a single negative review posted here b/c we know and socialize with many of the children and parents and I've never known any of them to be unhappy. The curriculum is excellent. My son who just finished kindergarten had already completed most of the kindergarten curriculum before he went and loves school b/c Turtlefun always made it so much fun. I would recommend it to any parent for all age levels. more

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME 5/15/2012

I currently have two children enrolled here, one in Pre-K and the other in T1. Every morning when we arrive we are pleasantly greeted by the director and staff. My children learn new things everyday (my older child has learned how to write the entire alphabet, his name, numbers, and how to swim). The teachers in my children's classrooms are very friendly and easy to talk to. The biggest draw for me to Turtle Funs was that my children are able to be children here, not minature adults like I have experienced at other child care centers. Overall, Turtle Funs is a happy and fun place to be, and I highly recommend it! more

I am more than willing to respond to concerns about my center. Anytime. The negative "guest" comments seem cowardly and silly. We were voted Best in Woburn, have had 92% staff retention for the past 5 years, have terminated one family for stealing, six families for non-payment and one family for pushing a child. Other than these issues, we only say goodbye to families when their children are off to kindergarten. We do not hide our rates or services. Our fees are listed on our website. If you are offended that we charge for piano lessons or toothbrushing, feel free to find a center that doesn't. If you feel you can get the same service for the same price, feel free to sign up at that center. But, honestly, leaving negative feedback because you don't like our fees?????? So, I say to the haters, if you have an issue, be mature enough to discuss it with me and be honest about who you are when leaving feedback. more

Beware 2/7/2012

The owner Holley has again posted a response to negative comments and under same name is a pleased parent that put their child on waitlist. All negative comments should be taken seriously they are from concerned parents unlike positives that come from the owner. All positive comments should be questioned. more

Very understanding staff and VERY CLEAN!!!!! 2/7/2012

I was at this center when their licenser came in to renew their license. My husband and I watched the license process and were impressed with the detailed inspection. This center is CLEAN, organized and busy. The kids were busy and working on projects and playing. I talked to the director about the negative comments others have left and her response was that sometimes people are asked to leave the center and they are usually the ones to leave negative feedback. She even showed me the dates she asked people to leave and then the immediate posting of the negative stuff. She told me to judge for myself. All in all I think the center is a good place and I put my baby on the wait list. Also, check out the 'GUESTS" negative comments. They aren't too proud of their opinion if they can't even show their own names. more

Concerned parent says beware 12/10/2011

Please don't believe the positive posts you read director reads and responds to negative posts if you read them carefully and under same post name is a happy pleased parent. we toured the place for our child to attend but found its really dirty the education is far below other centers and don't be misled by pool and piano lessons-no swimming lessons are provided and piano lessons are additional cost. teeth cleaning only provided for excessive additional charge which is probably against state regulation. more

Wonderful curriculum, great staff 11/7/2011

Good: The curriculum they use is truly terrific. I have an undergraduate degree in education and I'm super picky about what is being taught to my child. Plus they offer swimming and piano lesson for the pre-school & pre-k classes. We used the childcare for our son when he was an infant. The staff was so caring and attentive.. Bad: Nothing!. Other: The place was so incredibly clean it impressed me all the time. I don't know how they kept the kids from passing around many of the usual child ailments and germs around but they did! Mine had so few viruses even my pedi was amazed.. more

Dirty place and rude director 8/19/2011

We sent my kid there because of the lower tuition. But it is really the dirty place. The director is a very rude lady. She gets irritated very quickly. Plus they didn't teach a lot of knowledge there. The tuition is keeping raising right now compared to the low quality of school. It loses its comparative advantage right now. more
