I went to True Blue for the first time and was greeted warmly, especially by Lydia who is an absolute delight to speak to while you're waiting for your stylist. My stylist was nice, and talkative and seemed to be listening to what I wanted and needed, but I'm less than satisfied with my hair cut. My wanting ""Some bangs, shape up the layers but keep it long because I'm growing it out"" translated to her that I needed at least 3 inches cut off, layers too short around the crown for me to do much with. I've never recieved a hair cut I didn't like, but this is definitely my first. And for $75, I feel ripped off. Pros: aveda, friendly service Cons: high prices more

Thanks to the True Blue Salon for turning an otherwise chaotic Friday into a relaxing/lovely day. I finally called a salon that had someone friendly answering the phone. Lydia was a delight to speak with and she was very helpful. She understood that most women would rather get a root canal than find a new hairstylist! The gentleman who assisted me when I arrived was smiling and made me feel comfortable. Brittany was my stylist, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She made suggestions... honest ones. Very pleasant conversation and then she gave me tips on how to maintain my gorgeous locks. It was truly a lovely afternoon. I only met three of them, but if the remaining staff are anything like the first few I came into contact with, I'm thinking of picking a fight with a lawnmower just so I can go back sooner! I love True Blue. I followed by stylist Brandy from West Tennessee to Nashville and fell in love with True Blue. It has a really chic atmosphere and great products. Brandy is an aweseome stylist (i followed her half way across the state!), Jessica is great with aesthetics and Lydia always makes you feel so welcome with a warm smile. I highly recommend it!!!!! I am a guy who is picky about his hair. I have been in Nashville for 7 1/2 years and up until 6 months ago, I had not been to a hair stylist more than once in town. I was recommended to check out True Blue and went to see Layla. I like the ""rockstar"" look and she immediately was apt to offer suggestions on what would work with my hair. I was honestly blown away and very impressed by not only the cut but the color too...True Blue (and Layla) is a very modern and hip salon to go to and I have been to see her for 6 months now...a first for me in Nashville. After moving to Nashville, i tried several salons and never quit felt satisfied, nothing like my NYC hairstylist. Then I came across True Blue.. All of the staff is friendly & I LOVE the Aveda products I got. They've managed to fit me in for my hair emergencies :) I am never dissapointed by any stylist there (yes i've seen them all) Each and every member there has helped me look my best, and I thank them...I highly recomend True Blue to everyone who truly cares about their hair & skin... I came in because I am new to the area and I saw you all on city search.com. I wanted a to set up an appointment and ask a few questions about my hair. My friend and I were looked at, but not acknowledged by a hairdresser at the first chair to our left and a hairdresser at the last chair to our left. It was not until we had been standing at the front desk for a minute, when an older lady with dark hair came from the back and finally said ""Hello"". I have been a consistent customer of True Blue's since I moved to Nashville 3 years ago. I originally found True Blue because I saw a lady out at a restaurant who had awesome hair and color. So I asked her who did her hair and found out she was a customer of Kim Hunter the owner. I have been a loyal and satisfied customer ever since. I am VERY PICKY especially with my color/highlights, and never have stayed with one stylist as long as I have with Kim. She's very professional, her staff is always friendly and attentive. I have never felt more at home at a salon. I have been to MANY because I've moved around alot, but I can honestly say that they really wanted me to feel comfortable. My stylist was Valerie, and she was so amazing. She cut my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it, and she asked me questions all throughout the cut to make sure that she was doing what I wanted before she did it. Honestly, I loved it and I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRUE BLUE!! Pros: Comfortable, Good Parking, Very Personal Cons: A Little Hard to Find more
