I met Howard at a business fuction. I was a new business owner and decided to give him a try. I used him/them for 4 years and boy was I sorry! He "offered" assistance but was never available. He insisted on filing a tax extension every year and I owed taxes every year. For the 4th year filing he informed me I owed $36,000.00!!! Plus penalties and interest since I wasn't told till after the deadline. I had to tap every financial resource to pay the IRS and FTB. When I talked with him about it he blamed me! Needless to say I dumped his sorry a**. I requested he surrender all my records and he sent me a minimal amount of half-usable information (mind you he kept all payroll records!) I found myself a new accountant (referred to me by a successful business owner) who amended all former returns and got ALL my money back. I have since talked with other's who've used Howard and they tell a similar story. Now, I'm telling you -- Beware! more

Howard made it all better, I have been using him for years. While I do not think the experience is as personal as it once once, they now want you to pre-file much of the information with him via the web its still a positive experience and I think you could do much worse that doing business with him. more

I have been using professional tax service companies for 24 years and Tri-Valley Tax is by far the BEST company that I have dealt with. The staff is friendly and professional and when they commit to getting a return done, they get it done. When I first started with them 10 years ago I brought them my tax return from the previous preparer and Tri-Valley Tax found errors and saved me money. Not only have we chosen Tri-Valley Tax for our tax preparer but also as our Financial Service company, i.e. investments. I truely believe that you can not go wrong with Tri-Valley Tax. Pros: They are friendly and accurate! Cons: Have not found one as yet! more
