Same poor service also,I have no problem with what they took from me but they ripped my sister off. She's a single mother and can't afford this type of madness. We need to get together and shut this place down( legally). They are ripping people off. more

This place is was a nightmare. I am not sure where to begin. \r 1. If you are here, you are obviously doing your research (i wish i had)\r 2. This company has changed its name from Atlanta Certified Transmissions - if you look up Atlanta Certified Transmissions you will see it has a BBB rating of F, while Transmissions 4 Less has a C+ \r 3. They operate under 5-10 different phone numbers and a random call center that is not necessary. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach the person you'd like to reach. I had to drive them crazy on their personal numbers to get a call back. \r 4. The 2 year warranty is in place solely to keep them from having to give you your money back and let me tell you, you WILL be back as in my case 3 times. \r 5. The work will not be done right the first time. \r 6. They towed my vehicle for free which was nice, as soon as i drove it out I had problems, I turned around and went right back. They replaced a solenoid. I left. Drove for 2 days, the next time I had even more problems. They promised to tow it back for free (which was nice because it's still their fault it wasn't working) After 3 days and a $200 rental car later, I got the car back. I drove it for one day before I began having problems even worse than when I took it there in the beginning. All my transmission and check engine lights were on and the car was hardly driveable. I requested them tow it back for free since they had practically RUINED this car. The obliged and I said I needed it towed by 5pm while I was at work, they promised it would be done by noon. I left the office at 5pm after calling multiple times to try to find out where they were. They called me at 5:15 saying that Transmissions 4 Less had just called them about the vehicle 15 min prior. I said sorry I do not want the car towed now. They called me back the following morning asking to pick up the car. I refused unless they would pay for a rental car. Jose refused to pay for my rental car, cursed out my father. Spoke horribly rude to myself. Threatened myself and my dad. I said I'd give them one more shot the following Monday, they agreed and never showed up. \r 7. I filed a claim with Wells Fargo to get my money back and LOST because these snakes had a 2 year ""WARRANTY"" ... aka they will keep agreeing to ""fix"" your vehicle like you have 2 years to wait to have a driveable vehicle. \r 8. The last resort for me is small claims court, avoid this measure. \r 8. I took it to Sugarhill Automotive and paid double to have it done right the first time. \r \r THE LESSON HERE: I AM OUT $1870! PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS. THEY ""REBUILD"" YOUR TRANSMISSION BY TRIAL AND ERROR REPLACING ONE LITTLE PIECE AT A TIME AND GETTING IT WRONG EVERY TIME. IT'S NOT WORTH THE STRESS, HEADACHE, FOUL LANGUAGE AND THREATS. more

I think that you guy are the worst transmission place in the world! I had my car towed to your shop for so call free! and I was charged 150.00 because I decide not to let you guys do the work, this was a true rip off! I would tell anyone that asked me about Jose and transmission rip off to run for their life! and I am looking to report you crooks to the BBB! more

Awuful services, I do not recommended to anyone even if you don't know anything about transmissions , you definitely know more than the owner Jose Costas.\r He is the most rude person I have ever encounter. The so called 2 yr warranty is a scam. It does not include any electric work . After just 11 months my transmission started slipping I brought the car back to the Doraville location, which has the only nice manager, and because the work was done in snellville they took it there. After 3 days of repetitive calls they finally told me the car was ready I could pick it up on Saturday before 2:30pm. I got there at 1:20pm the place was closed, not even a courtesy call. The the owner, Jose, was in the office and came oustide as I approach my car. The car was parked in the back of the garage as if it was abondoned with a flat tire, which the car did not have when I drop it off.\r He treat me if I w there to still my own car, and rudely told he would not move the cars to give me mine, I had to come back on monday. It is not my fault that the work was not done correctly the first time and they had to fix it for free. Customer service is the most important factor of a business and the owner, Jose Costas does not have it and does not seem to care to learn. more

RUN!! RUN AWAY AND DONT LOOK BACK!!!! Worst experiance ever in life!!! Hosa is the worst Bussiness man in life and I say this with so much conviction because my car is still there. I found them online and gave them a call they picked my car up to do an assement!! I told them I know the transmition was out and could they give me an estament on how much it would be!! they told me about 1450 and the sugested some other parts that needed to be fixed that cane to almost 1689!!!! I told him that would be great since you would be able to fix it since the transmition was out they would not charge me any labor!(I said I didnt have that amount and that once I get it I would come back to you guys to fixe it! Hosa told me they could go on and fix it and I would make payments on it They told me I could do a three month payment plan! All lies!!!! I said great!!! i will let you know something in a couple of days !!!! He had a guy named Erny give me a call two days later to say my car was fixed!! I said OH ok Great whats the end total because I told Hosa I could not get it fixed yet because I had no extra money !! he said Oh thats not good I have so many cars here You have to pay!! ok I will do the arangement payment plan that Hosa and I agreed on !!!!! When I called to make my first payment the story changed!! These people have taken my car and hiden it.They will not retune my phone calls have hung up in my face twice, have harassed my loan company Negative!!!!! This is not how you conduct a buissnes is what I told ERNY after several, you just dont treat your customers as they have!! he said he would call me back after he asked if we could be friends I said NO we were never friends even though you guys acted as if you were friendly this is a business transaction lets treat it as such!!!!!! I am one those who knows nothing about cars, so I always feel like I am at the mercy of the auto repair places. My experience at Atlanta Certified Transmissions was more than I could have hoped for. The transmission was re-built on time and at a fair price. In fact the final bill was even lower than his original estimate. I highly recommend other ""auto repair phobic"" like myself to use them with peace of mind. more

This place is a Big Rip off !! Run! Your so called ""TWO YEAR WARRANTY"" Is scribbled on a piece of paper. After complaining of their service, slow and incomplete work, not sticking to the agreement on parts and labor. The transmission runs worse, sticks in third and second and bucks badly. Whether it was actually totally and correctly rebuilt is surely in question. Brought it in to ""Certified Honda"" Dealership for diagnostic and they say it needs to be rebuilt!! Glens reply at TMFL .."" Bring me your F..king Car and I will F..king fix it.!!"" What?? He is saying this to a lady mind you. Read drduster. This is their game!! Glen the so called tech, And ..""President"" on his card.. Jose Castro.. made a deal for a complete overhaul regardless of parts needed add a preventative oil cooler for a Honda which is standard on Honda rebuilds because of the overheating problems on Hondas. They said it would take 3 or 4 days..5 weeks later, get the car back, with the dash lit up with transmission faults. Their excuse was your car was like that already, we couldn't figure it out because we have no code diagnostics for transmission electronics! WHAT?? Red flag! No computer diagnostics for the transmissions !! "" Your car needs a new computer ..it's not our transmission, it was like that already. "" quote! cost you more..for their street corner guy that needs to be paid in cash...he could fix it? The bill went from $1800.00 complete rebuild all new parts with an external cooler. To $2400.00 with no cooler. ...400.00 in cash for their specialist street corner under the table guy..Rafael to find a computer to keep the transmission fault lights from lighting up? Transmission seems to be a patch job with the internals sticking. Now they are extremely rude since the have their money...!! They don't want to honor their warranty...These guys are very ""RUDE"" and are using Intimidation and Expletives, When you tell a paying female client......"" BRING YOUR F..KING CAR IN AND I'LL F..KING FIX IT"" !!! This is how they honor their work and warranty with insulting durrogatory language. Tell you nothing is wrong then swear, expletives, get loud and try to intimidate clients so they won't want to come back or trust them. This location was refered to us by PepBoys on Main St in snellville. My Husband I were very happy with the quality of service that we received. The work also came with a warranty. My Car ran wonderfully. I would definately recommend this locaton. more

These guy's are really bad. Jose Costas has no business running a transmission shop. He should be the guy sweeping the floor, & is probably under-qualified for that. I brought my car to them with concerns on how it shifted. After a test drive they advised it needed a transmission overhaul, which I authorized & paid for when it was finished. When I picked the car up there were greasy hand prints on the hood & door, & greasy foot prints on the carpet. Also, the transmission shifted the same as before. They said they'd take a look at it. The next time I picked it up it was worse, so I left it again. I called Jose the next day to discuss & he rudely told me to come get the car because they'd done everything they were going to do. I pleaded that it wasn't fixed & he argued that it worked just like it's supposed to & that I was too picky. When picking the car up for the third & last time I asked Jose about transmission fluid I noticed on my paint & scratches on my front spoiler. These things were very evident to me because I'd just paid for a very expensive paint job shortly before bringing the car for transmission work. Once again he was very rude & verbally abusive. I told him I was disappointed, I have five cars & he could have had all my transmission business. He told me he didn't want my business, that I was delusional. He also added that they don't get transmission fluid on paint & they don't scratch spoilers, & that I needed to leave. So I left & took the car to another transmission shop, who fixed it perfectly for less money. Thankfully I paid Certified Transmission with a credit card, contested the charges & after researching, the credit card company decided in my favor. Certified Transmission does bad work & Jose Costas is a not a nice guy! You will experience nothing but pain & anger if you let them work on your car.\r \r Pros: Polite & helpful up front. I spoke with Hosea {owner} about a transmission upgrade package instillation for a 96 impala SS. The car is possiblly a future collector automobile . Price was not my concern as much as a quility mechanical work. I asked for a detailed list of parts with the bill as documentation of history of the car as mechanical repair records are requested by collectors Hosea agreed to this request. I returned with the car later that day. Hosea could not remember our conversation or find the documentsI left with him listing the upgrade parts. Hosea was talking to a mechanic and the techicanal details raised my concern of how competent the job would be completed . I asked for a invoice of the parts to accompany the bill. Hosea became agitated and said, (You are insulting me if you don't trust me to install the parts}.. My response wasI was willing to pay for the documentation needed to accompany the car. His next response was profane and I was orderded to leave his premesis which I did Immediately..
